Interior Minister And Immigration Boss Should Be Sacked - YAY OR NAY

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the interior minister, Abba Moro and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), over the death of some applicants in the botched Immigration recruitment exercise that took place across the nation last Saturday.

The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, rather than taking responsibility for the lack of foresight and maladministration allegedly blamed the job-seekers for being responsible for their deaths and the injuries they sustained because of impatience.

According online filings “the so called aptitude test or examination was only a scam, aimed at fulfilling all righteousness and a cover up because the vacancies had already been filled by applicants who have very influential connections at the Presidency, National Assembly, the Judiciary; among Ministers, other top government functionaries and captains of industries”.

Between the interior Minister who should be sacked?both?

Offering jobs to the ancestors or yet to be born generation of the unfortunate victims is not enough, somebody needs to be taught a lesson for their greed!

  2. Shameless man, if he got dignity he should have resign even without being told to do so. Our politicians are just not it,in a civilise country he will shamelessly resign and face probe but ours is business as usually. My question is who will sack him? *Tongue out* JONA no get liver reach sacking level. As we talk people are still dying from the incident, he should be sacked everyone involved should face the law.

  5. Both. Reason; if they'd been on top of the situation, doing their jobs diligently this would not have happened. Also lives were lost, young productive lives therefore offering jobs to the victims' families is mere mockery of the viciousness with which these lives were snatched away.it is only fair that those in charge pay, and since they didn't commit these 'murders' directly, their freedoms and lives can't be taken away however their jobs can. In a civilized society, these people would have handed in their resignation letters and perhaps braced up for court actions sadly Nigeria is far from civilized. Yet we must keep hope alive and believe that the right thing will be done at least to honour the innocent lives lost in that futile exercise.
