The wife of a senior police officer is currently being held at Meiran Police Division in Alimosho Local Government in connection to an armed robbery operation.
The suspect was arrested for allegedly buying stolen goods from armed robbers and is now being investigated for conspiracy and robbery along five other suspects in Lagos.
The said woman, whom police refused to name, was arrested by the residents of Ajasa-Command Estate, Ipaja at the weekend and handed over to the police.
According to the confession of a suspected armed robbery gang leader, Gbenga Akinola, the police officer's wife encouraged them to go for the operations so she could buy the stolen goods from them at giveaway price.
Gbenga Akinola’s confession also led to the arrest of four other suspects and weapons were recovered from them.
The husband of the suspect reportedly serves at Oduduwa Police Division in Ikeja, Lagos.-culled Pmnews

ReplyDeleteNa real what a pity.
ReplyDeleteHello me love. How far na? U don collect ur PVC? Ahah
DeleteAs for the thief woman, so they can conceal a suspect's name right? Nigerian police that are lawless when it comes to suspects and their identity. They'll post the pics and full name plus house address sef..without discretion... but as e be say na their wife now, they are coding it. Ok o.
Nawa o. Wetin person no go hear?
ReplyDeleteGod will keep exposing them.
ReplyDeleteIs it just her? They are plenty. Most of these policemen and their family members buy stolen goods a lot. Another is even when they impound cars. It automatically becomes theirs. Corruption Na dem be Chairmen.

Lol.
This is not news now, if policemen can be partners with thieves how much more their wives
ReplyDeleteVery correct at ur last statement.they always work hand in hand.smh!
ReplyDeleteStella that ur comment is so wrong. This seems to me like a blackmail. You cannot use the action of a single policeman's wife and judge all our men on black. All these attacks on police are not good and must be condemned. These men sacrifice their lives for the safety of our lives and properties. While we sleep in the comfort of our homes at night, these men are at the parks, highways, bus stops and other dangerous places, just to make sure our environments are safe.
ReplyDeletePele o, omo baba olopa!

D senior officer's wife is innocent biko!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is pure case of come and buy!!!
She is d victim...
She should be be compensated, set free and then full investigation should commence......
Police can set themselves up ooo.....
Poor woman!!!
Ahhh ezewanyi, how is she innocent, she encouraged them to go steal, so she can buy the goods cheap, she is as guilty as the people that went to steal.
Delete@jbaby,so U actually believe d words of those criminals?????
DeleteIt seems U dont know d way this shit works.
U can be right but what if its really true she encouraged them, doing it because she is senior officers wife, feeling she would be untouchable, people really abuse power in Nigeria. They do and undo
DeleteEzenwanyi, I am beginning to like the way you reason. This story does not add up. It is possible the woman bought stolen goods from them, but encouraging them to go an steal? Biko, are they kids?
DeleteNa lie jor. Innocent ke? You'll be shocked it's not her first time and she knows they are stolen. Is it not like those people that enter salons to market expensive stuff at ridiculously cheap prizes... who doesn't know they are stolen goods? don't we see some people trying to sell latest phones that's worth like 150k for 20k? Anyone who buys expensive things at very cheap rates has a questionable character himself.
DeleteYou can imagine
ReplyDeleteServes her right
I pray they won't exchange money
StellaKork, serious BFsF oh.
ReplyDeleteAnd they refused to mention her name.

ReplyDeleteTony ihekire what is your dictionary definition of blackmail?please i would like to know.
ReplyDeleteStella you maybe misunderstanding me, is not about you, is about the armed robber. He might be blackmailing the police officer's wife. The manner of his confession points to that if you can read between the lines.
DeleteLol, tony meant the MAIL is BLACK
DeleteBlackmail is when a mail Is black.
DeleteHehehehe stella why did you post a mail that is black? take time lol
DeleteSo the money her hubby Corlet as bribe is not enough for her,too bad.let her cool in jail
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth wud her name be withheld? I dnt undastnd dis country&d way forward. She is a culprit & shud even gt a mugshot self. In pidgin she be thief ole.
ReplyDeleteIf there is no proof that she did it,but just the criminals saying it,then it is simply blackmail.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this case will die a natural death before this week runs out. No be Naija?
ReplyDeleteOya..... police catch the thief.
ReplyDeleteOya..... police catch the thief.
