When 28-year-old Iklima Alhassan set out to visit her boyfriend on Sunday, August 9, at Rafin Makaranta area in Bauchi, little did she know that she was going to meet her death.
According to Vanguard, Iklima, who is an indigene of Bukuru village in Plateau State, visited her boyfriend, Nasiru Usman Banki, who resides at Rafin Makaranta area, behind Awala Hotel in Bauchi. She however met another lady, Fatima Baba Isa, 22, of Makera ward in her boyfriend’s apartment, a situation that allegedly resulted in a fight between the two women. The police public relations officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the sad incident by saying:
“On August 9, at about 12:50a.m., an uncon-scious young lady was found along Maiduguri by-pass, near Awalah Roundabout, Bauchi. “The police patrol team attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Division visited the scene and rushed the victim to ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, were she was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor and the corpse was deposited in the mortuary for post-mortem examination.”
The police spokesman said the deceased’s boyfriend and the other lady were arrested and were assisting the police with useful information that could help ascertain the cause of her death.

She rained all manner of insults at me and was ready to finish little me. My saving grace was the guy in question who had to physically wrestle with her to stop her from touching me. The entire time I kept mute even when she insulted my 'punani'. I had never seen anything like that my whole life. Never been so afraid! Thank God he managed to drag me safely to his car and drove off. Even then, she tried to get in the back seat till he aggressively pulled her out. All I could think afterwards was, all these for a guy? WTH! That I came out unharmed is a BIG testimony! I'm grateful Lord.
