Senator Akpabio Press Release Alleges He NEVER Begged Lai Mohammed.‏

This press release arrived my mail box sometime this afternoon.....

''Former govermor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio was on Sunday sighted at Southern Sun Hotel in Lagos. He was on a

solidarity visit to the team, where he urged them to ensure that they  lifted the coveted Federation Cup for the state.

Akpabio, who was accompanied with his wife, Unoma, members of his family and other notable personalities , prayed for the success of the team, assuring them that a lot of goodies awaited them from the state government and other indigenes of the state if they lifted the trophy. 

While chatting up the players,  the former governor sighted  the new Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed at the lobby of the hotel, the two government functionaries  exchanged pleasantries after which they parted. And this took place in the full glare  of well over 50 members of the public,who had come there to have their breakfast.

However, it is the height of political irresponsibility for an online medium, to allude to the exchange of pleasantries between Akpabio and Mohammed  to mean he, (Akpabio), begging Mohammed). There was never a moment where Senator Akpabio begged Mohammed for whatever reason throughout the very short moment. Members of the public are hereby advised to ignore and disregard the mischief as it only existed in the minds of the mischief makers''.
