PAINS ON NIPPLES
Good day Dr.
My Name is Blessing from Nigeria. I am 20 years old. My period ended 2weeks back)( 29th dec,2015). My ovulation started yesterday 9th, Jan 2016. I am experiencing pimples on my face, painful Nipples (No sore or heavy breast like I see during my period), then I get wet but not horny. Please what is wrong, I need your advice.

CERVIX NOT OPENING

Please I have a question for the BVN doctors and members of BVNs too, am currently 39 weeks gone in pregnancy, calculating by my LMP but the last scan shows am 41weeks gone calculating by it but am confused, I have been relying on the last scan result which put my edd at 26th Dec 2015, I was at the hospital that day but upon examination the doctor said that I wasn't ready yet and should not be induced so I had to go home.
I later met with the senior doctor and he advised we stick with the LMP calculation which put it at 11th Jan 2016, I was at the hospital again and upon examination again, the doctor found it a bit hard to locate my cervix, (my hubby confirmed it also when he checked me), after examination by the doctor he concluded that I will be induced tomorrow with castor oil and some other drug because according to him am already in my latent phase of labour and my cervix isn't opening yet.
Am a first time mom, please do I go for the inducing thingy or should I wait a bit more because am already having labour pains, mucous discharge but no bloody show and the baby kicks and disturbs well.
Please I need prayers and advice

ReplyDeletePoster 1 I think you are pregnant. You should do a test because if you saw your period 2 weeks ago chances are u have ovulated not that you are ovulating now. If you had sex pls go for PT.
DeletePoster two, I had same issue till I gave birth they had to give me a cut all the way to my cervix. BT I have healed properly now.
DeletePoster 2, I hope you get to read this though its late. I feel you should not be too worried as a ftm because most first babies come a bit late. A lot of people are saying induction & that's ok but most doctors wait until at least 41 weeks before they try to induce. You could also try the castor oil if your doc said so but PLEASE use just a tablespoon every 3-4 hours or so as too much could cause complications. I was also overdue, according to my LMP my due date was 20/11 but I gave birth 28/11; I used castor oil twice on the 27th & I went into labour that evening though I don't know if it was the castor oil that did the trick or not. In all, as long as your baby is doing fine, I feel you should wait until 41 weeks. I wish you a safe delivery.
DeleteStimulate your nipples.. it helps. My due date was on Oct 20, I was scheduled to have an induction on Oct 8th because I had very low platelets... after taking steroids to increase my platelets, I started stimulating my nipples, and with God I had my son after a 30 minutes labor.

Poster 1 what you re experiencing is ovulation. Poster 2 I think you should agree with the induced labour thing,because if you re right with your calculation then you re already overdue do not take chances,above all this is the time to make use of you mouth in the right way,speak what you want to see,keep saying it,positive things,and it will come to pass,God never fails.

Madam as far as I knw, dia is room for at least 14 days after EDD.. tho it's at d discretion of d doctor to induce or not.. and dia must b a reason for d induction especially if u'v not passed d 14 days grace dt follows after ur EDD.. But ds Catro oil one sef, Av nt hrd of medical Dr using it for induction. Wn I ws induced, d Dr only put a vry tiny tablet in my kinikan kinikan and it did d magic.. so pls madam I hope it's a good hospital u went 2.. mnyl, pray and speak d word. Speak wt u want to be IJN and watch it come to pass.. All the best and safe delivery. Pls bring d good news wn our blog baby arrives.

ReplyDeleteWhat sort of doctor will recommend castor oil for induction? All it'll give you is diarrhoea! If you are experiencing labour pains it means your baby is coming soon also the loss of your mucous plug is also a sign that your body is preparing itself for labour. Do be patient and wait.

How did you know u r in labour,it might be false,did the confirm it or its in definite succession?anyways if its a teaching Hosp and u r sure d doc is a senior reg,allow them,they hv d experience. God WL deliver you safely.

ReplyDeletePoster 2. I think i experienced the sams issue during my second child. I wasn't dilating at all upon i drank 1 bottle of castor oil So to avoid stories that touch coupled with the fact that i hate being induced cos to me its very painful. So i just told the doctor that i want cs so they operated me and brought out my baby. So i advice u to go for cs and save ur self the stress of all that. But if u like u can wait to be induced. Choice differs anyway.

Wait for the IH doctors advice.
pls allow them to induce you. it's quite painful but labor will be fast. safe delivery
ReplyDeleteMadam, biko forget d fast thing. So I hrd b4 but I dnt bliv it. I had d same thing in mind dt labour will b fast with induction.. but wn my DR induced me ehh, it ws smtyn else.. laboured for over 13 good hours yet no show.. Dr had 2 opt for a CS for me.

You had ur period 2wks ago and u ovulated??? You even try at ur age I didn't even know wat ovulation etc was. Just be careful so you don't get pregnant,all dese young boys out dere are useless. Don't be smones play thing, u will suffer d consequencys alone.
ReplyDeletePoster 2, pls listen to what the doctors have told you. If in doubt go and get a 2nd opinion. Pregnancy is a very delicate thing, especially if ur a first time mum without experience.
Correction; don't be barbaric... Age doesn't stop a woman from knowing how get her menstrual cycle right... know when she's ovulating or not.

As per the Acne...at ur age its,not unsual, wash ur face regularly.. if it's more than you can bear, see a dermatologist

Let the doctor induce you and have ur labour monitored,I'm yet to understand his proposed use of castor oil though???.If Labour doesn't progress as expected it poses risks to you and the baby, You might need to have an emergency C/S done. Wishing you safe delivery and motherhood

ReplyDeleteI was almost asking how old you were but then scrolled back. From my own experience, nothing might be wrong with you. Sometimes I have sore breasts during ovulation which stops just before my period comes. Two weeks after your period, your ovulation has already kicked in. This is all I know sha. Over to others.

ReplyDeletePoster 2...pele oo,mine was 42weeks bf I put to bed.Start having sex for the next five days it will help ripen the cervix.That castor oil thing no work for me instead ended up purging.Sex works it better,incase no string contraction after the 5 days,pls go for the induction.

ReplyDeletePoster 2: You need to see a gynaecologist. Or ask your doctor for a scan, to ensure baby is not in distress. I will also advice you go for a CS. There's no point waiting for labour to kickstart,if you're already within the week of edd.It's not by force to have a virginal delivery. In all of this, put God first.

Meanwhile from your EDD you are 42wks already,why wait this long before taking a decision??? This time is risky.You didnt state if engagement has taken place or not since you are a first time mum.Do u mean your husband did a VE on you? Is he a Dr,nurse or wat? And both him and Dr could not find the cervix?Well dear your cervix might still be at the posterior part of ur vagina and will be easily seen as dilatation proceeds.Pls comence your induction as planned by your Dr but not wit CASTOL OIL pls.Also if induction fails the C/S is the next option.Wish you well.

ReplyDeletePoster 2 if u can't stand being induced just jejeli go for cs. I was induced but e no work for my body jst ad tiny cramps from 12am till 6pm pm next day.... wasn't even dilating at all..not even 1cm.lol.Later ad cs arnd 7 pm.

ReplyDeleteHmmm, when I hear inducing, I get goosebumps all over cus it takes me back to that awful pain. Now I know exactly what I want the moment baby is ready to drop - epidural and then a CS if need be! No time for unnecessary pain!
