Handcuffs.....

PDP's Metuh was shown with handcuffs recently?
You seem to have forgotten that he isnt the first and he will not be the last....

On the left is the late Prince Abubakar Audu being taken to court and on the right is former IG of police Tafa Balogun being taken to court....both prominent men shamed to appear in public with handcuffs...

.......and below are the soldiers who refused to fight boko haram without weapons and they were handcuffed like criminals!

Who else?

So go figure!

    3. Stells, you don't handcuff a suspect**. It is wrong!

NONE of them above deserve to be on cuffs cos as at the time of these pictures the court of law haven't declared any of them a criminal

You only handcuff when the person is resisting arrest or posing danger (throwing tantrums or it's like) to the person arresting or leading him to court...

      Delete
    4. My Opinion, when they arrested Metuh, he wasn't handcuffed but like you said "if he poses danger" after eating the paper work evidence and threatening thunder and lightening inside prison. Isn't that enough to chain both his legs?
Remember that he is hungry so his animal instinct might set in and he will use someone's ears as breakfast which psychologists will come to his defence as normal human response to HUNGER!

    5. @ my opinion u are a fool...all d armed robbers and thieves who are caught and shown on crime fighters are they not in cuffs? when suspects of crimes are paraded before the public are they not in cuffs?... so because this one's are so called big men they should be brought to court with a limo stretch and convoys...think Bitch!

    6. STELLA YOU'RE SUCH A CREATIVE BLOGGER BUT SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T HIDE YOUR REAL BITTER INSIDE AND YOUR IGNORANCE.
SO THE JUSTIFICATION FOR METU'S HANDCUFF IS THE FACT THAT OTHERS WERE ONCED HANDCUFFED? DID YOU THINK BEFORE POSTING THAT? FYI WHETHER IT'S METU OR BALOGUN, IT'S WRONG. BUT METU'S CASE IS WORSE BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENING AT A TIME WHEN SUSPECTED TERRORISTS WALK FREELY TO COURT, WHEN DASUKI WHO IS ALLEGED TO BE THE PRINCIPAL SUSPECT WALKS TO COURT WITHOUT HANDCUFF. THAT IS HATRED AND ABUSE OF POWER MIXED TOGETHER. AND REMEMBER, YOU DON'T WHO WILL BE IN CHAINS TOMORROW FOR THE SLIGHTEST SUSPICION OR TRUMPED UP CHARGE.

All the above were handcuffed for 'irrational behaviour' we know so.

Chief Olisa Metuh's own is PDP vs APC Power Game. If they can lie that Metuh chewed paper, what can they not do. I fear for some men. This drama is getting risky. Let what happened in 1999 not repeat itself. I know what I heard and saw in Jada in Adamawa State. Trust no politician.

Please bail money is still metuhs money. He will only loose it if he tries to skip town to another state..

The likes of dasuki will have their money returned to them since he has been in prison even after meeting bail

Likewise metuhs. The money will be giving back to them. Or property. Whatever it is the presented..

AND WHEN THEY REFUSED TO FIGHT WITHOUT ARMS THEY WERE SENTENCED TO DEATH.
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO RECRUIT FUTURE SOLDIERS INTO SUCH CORRUPTION.
COME SEE HOW USA RESPECTS AND HONOURS THE VETERANS AND EVEN WHAT THEIR FAMILY GAINS AT THEIR DEATHS.

    1. This arms fund they are talking about came from abacha loot

So I just want to know how it sacked the economy because people keep saying this is the reason our economy is down

But the money was just returned to Nigeria and they decided to use part of it for arms deal.. Not like the money had been in the economy for so long...

Now I want to know where is the remaining balance from abachas loot, let it be plunged into the economy because naira keeps getting bad O. Like play like play it will reach 500 naira to a dollar

    2. Anony 6.27, dasuki shared $2.1bn. Abacha loot used was abt $330million. So they share all that abacha money that was returned and so much more from the treasury. Pls stand corrected! They raped and plundered, looted and raped again.

  24. Handcuffs dont mean nothing. They will smile for the cameras and get away with it. All na public camouflage. But its bad it seems to be designed for a group of people against the present government.
The most useless government I have seen so far. So what has happened to the likes of Diezani and co? Oh, their stories have been swept under the carpet as usual as they have given the public their sympathy stories. There are many criminals roaming free. What happened to the case of Farouk Lawal and Femi Otedola? Two thieves trying to outdo themselves. Because Farouk was a member of Senate then, so his case was brushed aside. EFCC have suddenly grown balls for a category of men. This is their time to shine however it comes about.

What have Buhari done since he assumed office please state an outstanding achievement. One promise or the other. Please check the 2016 budget is security votes not included. This cuts across even to all states. We are all been carried away with the arms deal saga. This is simple common sense. Most the whole nation go on fire! Do you know how many people have been sacked from December to date in some APC States, banking sectors. What is the price of dollar after GEJ administration, why did the govt this week allow you to buy dollar outside cbn, God will help us. Buhari needs to approach issues technically. Problems are solved one at a time.

  37. Who are those making noise up and down? These men are murderers! Many soldiers killed by bh, some jailed for refusing to fight with good weapons and you idiots, good for nothing Nigerians are talking about mere handcuffs? To hell with them all! Because none of the noise makers lost a soul in the bh crisis, they are concerned about mundane thing! It means these men can sell Nigeria, and relocate to another country with their family while we become modern slaves to another nation. Stop with your sentiments for once and think with your heads! Fuck them all! They should be made as scape goats to others who looted blindly without human conscience!

  38. I'm reading a lot of bullshit here. When did it become unlawful to put handcuffs on a crime suspect? And such a serious crime at that? If you're gonna act like a criminal, then you should expect to be treated like one. Why shouldn't Kanu be put in handcuffs? Cos he's a high-profile suspect? Cos he's a prominent member of the society? Let's face it, even that is debatable. What has he ever done for our country, except try to divide it, that is? He should be put in his place like the common criminal he is. Handcuffs it is!

Please stop the hate, it doesn't add money to your account..

You could correct them or leave them without been tribalistic

I'm also appalled by the way most comments are making handcuffs seem like a big deal and I'm Igbo.

I see people arrested all the time with handcuffs.. Metuhs case isn't different

They are saying dasuki wasn't with cuffs but I don't think he was posing a threat to them.. We don't know if he truly ate papers or disturb them but whatever made them to put him is cuffs I guess it's acceptable..

Others who were caught cooperated. They said what they used the money for. But he has refused to say anything. And I hear he keeps shouting up and down so why won't the cuff him. People are leaving the big issues and following something that isn't an issue at all.

Oh well my own is they should collect all the money stolen.. They said 2.1bn dollars was shared among these thoeves which is about 600bn naira.. I don't think they have mentioned up to 100bn yet. So the money is still plenty remaining outside abeg. Let us recover all. Dollar and naira is not smiling

  40. Anon 21:52 how does the police know if and when someone will resist. To prevent officers from being attacked or the arrested person harming themselves they are cuffed before they are put in the back of a police car.

In the past there have been cases where the person arrested attacked the officer while being transported to the police station because they were not cuffed, to prevent this from happening because they don't know who might attack them, when they could be attacked, or even the suspect harming themselves, it is standard procedure to cuff a suspect after arrest for safety reasons.

And maybe in the Nigeria where you live where the police and the suspect take okada, molue, public transportation and even walk miles to the station this does not happen. I don't blame you for being used to systems and institutions that don't function right or not at all.
