Ambassador John Fashanu Say He Wears Aba-made clothes

Ex-footballer and Ambassador for sports and Tourism, John Fashanu, has opened up on his failed marriage which recently stirred up a lot of controversies. He has equally explained why he wears ‘Aba-Made’ clothes.

In a chat with The Punch, Fashanu recalled that he faced so many controversies following his divorce.

He said “That was barely five months ago. It was about the divorce, but the lovely thing about it is that when the dust settles, you are able to shake hands and agree to move on without any showbiz interference.

“Both of us are mature enough to move on with our lives. I have moved on four steps higher and I am sure the other party will step up and do wonderful things.
In the world of showbiz, any publicity is good publicity. I always try to turn lemon into lemonade. I have always been a game changer. I am someone that takes an A and turns it into B.

“People will always say things about you. Those things they say do not stop or end you. If there is anything, they give you more encouragement to prove to people that what they say is wrong,” he added.

Speaking further, Fashanu said, “I do not believe anybody in Nigeria should be hungry. It will be to our disadvantage if we continue to import goods from outside the country.

“A lot of my friends are surprised that most of my clothes are made in Aba, where some of the best tailors in Nigeria are located,” he noted.

    1. There's nothing wrong with made in Aba clothes. If it's nice and I like it, I'll surely buy and wear, I don't care. Provided it's not all them colour colour or yori yori tops. There's no big deal

So John, quit sounding like you are a responsible man cos u ain't. Why are all these women abandoning you? Same way ur second wife Melissa took to her heels. This is your 6th or 7th union, na only u get manhood?? Abeg go and sleep

  4. Aba tailors are truly very good. I patronize them. Some of them can compete with great designers out there. As for celebrities, I pity them, cos people will open their mouths and talk trash, without knowing what that person is going through. Dem strong no be small.

  6. I used to like uncle John but with all the scandal about him and women I have started seeing him as a regular Blackman with attitude issues, with this open declaration of using Aba made clothes he has scored himself some good points in my book kikikikiki. This is really the only way to promote our local designers and fabrics. Imagine if all our celebrities patronizes Aba tailors................. Your guess? good as mine.
