Pastor Bakare tells Nigerians That Change For Good Takes Time

The Serving Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Friday pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said the change being expected would take time.

Bakare, who was Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, spoke with State House correspondents after meeting the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja yesterday.

He said he was sure that the present administration would, in due time, respond to the yearnings of Nigerians.

The pastor said, “I will like to appeal to all Nigerians that we should just excise a bit of patience. This change will not become chain that will tie all of us down.
“Change for good takes time and we should just exercise a little bit more of patience. We trust that government is listening and the leaders are listening too and they will respond to the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.”

Bakare said when one is driving in the wrong direction and suddenly realises one’s mistake, there would be a lot of suffering in returning to the right direction.

“Pain is part of gain. No pain, no gain. The years of wastage and all that we have done wrong have finally caught up with us.
“All we are praying for is wisdom for this government to think right and to do the right things, so that gradually, we can begin to come out of the woods,” he said.

According to Punch,When asked to assess the present administration, Bakare said it was too early to do so.

On the purpose of his visit, he said, “I came to see the President and he is doing very well, health wise. That’s all I came to do.”

  2. Stella where your own comment.

When Jona was there, they nearly killed him with criticism. Now he is talking about calmness.

May God forgive all APC supportters. You all are begging for the calmness you refused to give to Jona. Thank God it has rotated.

  3. Yeah change for good will take time, but Nigeria's change for good is definitely not coming from Buhari.
I mean when China was about to change for good, it was obvious, they started by delinking their economy from the outside world, thus eradicating dependency. When Cuba was about to change for good we knew what happened. When Singapore was about to change for good we saw it. Nigeria's change haven't started yet, and it's definitely not coming from Buhari

    1. How old are you? If you are below 30yrs,you won't be useful in NIGERIA future. If you above 30 y then your children will suffer cause of dullard they have as parent. So disconnecting our economy from dollar based economy is not something you should welcome as a step in boosting and make our economy independent of outsiders? You must be a retard.
