FATHOM PREGNANCY
I was worried and i went for a serum test i was positive. but then i wasn't having any sign of pregnancy except my breast was a little enlarged. . no pain and i have bloating. so i did another serum test in another place it said negative. i went for an ultrasound around 9 weeks (counting from the day of last period)
They said nothing was in my uterus. the ultrasound guys said i should come back in the next two weeks. i did another blood test dat day it still said positive.
i haven't had any bleeding since the last period.

I read somewhere that positive serum test and negative blood test can be a sign of fathom pregnancy.
Please what could be wrong?I need help cos i'm getting more depressed waiting for the two weeks.

Okay dear, just carry your two legs to a hospital, then ask to see their gynaecologist!

ReplyDeleteI keep on repeating my self. I don't know why people joke with their lives. U just went foor ultrasound on ur own?. The report they gave u can u interprete it?. There is nothing like fathom preggs. Phantom pregs u mean? When a woman desires pregnancy sso much that her body starts giving her preg signss like what u are having. How are u sure u don't have a mass or tumour that is causing wahala? Better go to a REPUTABLE hospital and understand what is wrong with u. Not d one they will tell u, u will say god forbid and go house.

DeletePlus, **sigh** I don't want to scare you ( reason I don't like reading this doctor's post) but pls go to the hospital and get checked out. Hopefully, it is not cancer..cos that's what comes to mind win that symptom...

ReplyDeleteWhat's serum test and blood test? Madam u no give us proper details o. Serum is a portion of blood. It's a blood product. So the two is blood test. One came negative and the other positive? The positive might be chemical pregnancy but since you did ultrasound at 9weeks by your counting why do PT again. Just wait for that two weeks and repeat the pelvic uss and see a gynecologist especially because of your missed period and no pregnancy. And pls relax, you will have a BFP soon by God's grace. E-hugs
ReplyDeleteMy dear,do you mean phantom pregnancy??? And how were you able to diagnos yourself? Are you a doc,nurse or what. You never stated if you have been trying to conceive or not. How did you just decide on your own to go for a scan and at same time read the result yourself? Phantom preggers is when a women have been trying to conceive and her body begins to give a false result that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, so many other factors can also give such result, like when a women have a huge fibroid or even an ovarian cyst.It can be hormonal. Why not go to the hospital and find out. Their maybe some underlining causes too.You may still be preggers after all. Visit a hospital fast. Best of luck.

ReplyDeleteGo to a good hospital and see an OBGYN. It could be an anembryonic gestation. Pregnancy test is positive.
