MEMO TO ALL THE MAMAS IN THE HOUSE:

I would like to hear from the Moms here if any has experienced this with any of their kids.

My child is 3 and cannot speak. he is in good health, was carried full term, pregnancy went well.
He has few words but cannot construct a sentence like he should at this stage. we've been to see a paediatrician but they said he might be autistic. But how? A healthy child?

We have prayed, fasted and we hoping on God that all will be well soon.
He is still on diapers as I do not know how to potty train a child that I cannot relate with. I and my husband are really worried and would like to know if any mother in house can relate.

Any suggestions or anything to help with his speech?????

Please help !!!

A Worried BV

At this point after your explanations I would disagree with anyone who says your child is fine..You need to be watchful cos your child MIGHT have autism.........Read more about it and prepare yourself so that you can know how to deal with it..God bless you

SCARED BV NEEDS SOMEONE THAT WILL RENT HER A HOUSE ON LOAN

Few months ago, while I was still nursing my baby, her food got finished, had to rush to the ATM, met a long queue, had no choice but to wait.. ATM isn't moving, people were already grumbling like what could one person be doing @ the ATM for so long, I knew it wasn't right..

The guy would slot, do a transfer that would take up to 10 mins and said its not working and ask the next person to try, the moment the person leaves, he'll slot the card again, and do same. I was running out of patience, I told him if he's having issues with his card, he should walk into the bank to lay a complain.

He said that's the process, I sensed something wasn't right.. Then I went into the bank to call a bank official, I explained it all to him inside before coming out, on seeing the bank official, the guy left immediately.
I said na wa ooo, na so person go dey house dey receive debit alert on top this matter because the banker explained to me what exactly he was doing on the machine-fraud.

I noticed the guy in my front was behaving somehow, he withdraw and left, I noticed he went the other way, I look and saw lots of guys on the other side, meaning they came together.

My spirit wasn't calm, I knew all wasn't well.. Immediately I withdrew, as I was leaving, the other guy walked passed me, (there and then I suspected they could be cultist) I entered the bank immediately. Went to the bank manager, explained to him.. Was pressed at the same time, rushed out to use the toilet, when I'm done, I saw another guy standing in front of the toilet door. I said to myself, (thread softly). I went back to the manager's office, called hubby, told him to bring baby along to come pick me up. He was frightened, like am I sure all is well..was saying all these amidst tears.

He came and took me home, since then, I barely talk in public, I avoided that ATM completely, I'll withdraw all that would last me for a month.. Its been like that for sometime now..

Not until recently, I sensed I was being trailed..
Was leaving for church yesterday evening, and saw some guys close to my house, one of them looked like the other one in my front @ the ATM the other day who came with the other guys. Its been months tho..

I greeted 'good evening' and they responded. As we were about leaving, I heard them murmured to each other and the next thing i heard is shhhhh him and the replied 'ko ja jor' .

I sense all is not well.. I'm only confiding in the word of God..
Recently, I had another encounter, sensed someone trailing me..
Right now I'm too scared.. I just need to move out of this town. You can Google more about "Ikorodu".
The rate of cultism and kidnappings is no joke.
I'm a mother of 4.
"I need help, I don't need money, all I need is an apartment to move to, far from this place for now till I'm settled, even if it means paying installments. Looking at Ajah or Sangotedo. I'm so scared.
High blood pressure.. I really need to live for my kids..

I'm into real estate,Business has been dull, that's why I'm pleading. I'll surely pay, ready to sign an undertaken. Please, in God's name, and for my kids sake, help me live.

This story is scary and somehow...

  5. Hello house

Please I have a question for mothers and health practitioners, its been bothering me and I need to spit it out.

    Am very pregnant and labour scares me like shit but what scares me the most is the post natal massage i.e the hot water massage. Does massaging a woman after labour really helps her get her body back? In terms of;
    1. Tummy flattening
    2. Healing of the stomach....does the stomach have any special wound after birth?
    3. Are there women who didn't go through this torture n healed?

Please I really need answers, thanks.

    1. My dear, don't be scared! It helps alot.
I massaged myself after giving birth, and I did a good work. It also helps in removing all the lochia.

You need that massage more than the pepper soup.
      Wishing safe and easy delivery.

      Delete
    2. My dear you should gear your mind towards birthing your little bundle of joy safely.

That massage pain you talking about is nothing compared to labor pains.

I wouldn't advise tummy massage tho, cos it causes wrinkles. But overall body massage with hot water is very good after delivery.

Wish you a safe and fast delivery. 😘

      Delete
    3. Instead of praying for safe delivery, its flat tummy is disturbing you. Exercise don finish?

      You worry too much!

      Wee you stop these qs?

  8. Hello IRENE B,

Last night, I stumbled on an old post where you called me out saying that "I am insinuating that you double up as Ivory."

I guess your conclusion was as a result of an oversight on my part on the "just for fun roll call" I made sometime ago.

Ivory was meant to be "entered" on the next line; as names where in alphabetical order e.g,
    *Irene B
    *Ivory

Unfortunately, both appeared on same line hence your hasty conclusions

It was nothing but an honest mistake. I am too busy as a mom/wife/career woman to have the time to be involved in trying to decode who has multiple i.ds or not when it's not even like I am a GoogleLord.

Sdkblog is my 'hangout zone' for social updates, fun and relaxation, nothing more.

I am sorry if you've been very upset about it.

*just thought to clear the air*

And hey! Before anyone comes here to scream 'Drama', this isn't one. Just correcting an impression.

    Cheers.

  19. It's easy to throw that word 'autism' around but if your child plays very well and speak gibberish in the process of trying to talk, I don't think he's autistic. Cos from what I've watched and read autistic children are usually withdrawn and quiet. So if ur child plays like a normal healthy child and try to communicate with u in his own language, I don't think he's autistic. Maybe he just has late speech development or something called 'tongue tie' or something like that

They deliver and be the person you need them to be. They don't keep secret from you, they don't let people disrespect u, they don't stay cool with the people you have a problem with.
When it's real, you don't just get honesty, u get loyalty. They don't just communicate with u, they connect with u. They don't just tell u you are special, they actually make u feel it. They don't just tell u they love u, they show it. YOU knw it's real, when u don't have to question it because they have given you no reason to doubt it.

  51. Stella, my morning started on a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad note!!!

It's not enough that I spent 3 hours in freaking traffic to work this morning.
It's not enough that I haven't still got my car yet.
It's not enough that I had to take a bus to work this morning.
It's also not enough that the bus driver whom I sat next to on the bus, STOLE MY DAMN PHONE!!!!

    I AM MAD AS HELL!

That phone is just 3 weeks old, and I know how broke I am right now because I decided to buy a phone of 60k amidst Christmas and New year spendings. The most irritating part of this style of theft, is that I should have seen it coming.

My phone was in my bag, and just when I got to my destination, the bus driver decided to open the door for me (claiming the door was too stiff to be opened by me). So he leaned over me while my bag was on my lap, and he struggled with the door. At that point, I was very squashed up and sandwiched in between the desperate driver trying to open the door, and the female passenger sitting beside the door. I bet my pensions that it was at that point the driver dipped his hand in my unzipped handbag and grabbed the phone.

I'm just sitting in my office right about now, feeling so distraught and weak!
And just in case the bus driver is a BV (You never can tell)....Thank you so much for ruining my day, week and Month!!

  70. Madam with a queried autistic child, the paediatrician must have noticed other symptoms in your child before arriving at that diagnosis.
Does he make eye contacts? Is he usually withdrawn from people and happenings around him?
Please seek the opinion of another paediatrician in a reputable hospital, your child might just have delayed speech but early diagnosis and management of any condition is very key.
Seek help fast and once any diagnosis is confirmed, don't be in denial but rather seek solution immediately.
Most importantly, PRAY!!! It is well with your child.

    ReplyDelete
  71. My dear, your child may NOT be autistic. My second son had no word till he got to 3. At least yours has few words. We were worried like you but each time we took him to the hospital, on physical examination d doc would say he was okay and that each child was different. He had an hyperactive elder bro and he related very well with him and other kids. He repeated prr nursery twice cos of d speech. I even tot he was dumb. He would hum a complete song but would never open his mouth by I am glad to tell you that at 3, d words started coming out. He is 4 now and sometimes we beg him to shut up. He got an awarf at school as d best in literal studies at d end of 3rd term and last the he came second in xlass. If your son isn't in school yet, plz enrol him fast. Also, try and get him involved with other kids. Watch how he relates with others, speak to him and sew a seed on his behalf. For me, I googled autism and found out my son had none of those signs just that he couldn't talk so I began to think he was dumb BT d doc ruled it out saying his hearing was perfect. So if your son isn't having any of those autistic signs then keep your hope alive cos your son will talk. Remember mine had no words but could hum anything without opening his mouth BT now he won't stop talkin
