Tubaba Says He Wept On Monday Whilst Protest Was On...

Hip-pop superstar, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, has revealed that he was in tears watching Nigerians protest on Monday against the current administration.

2face was expected to lead the nationwide march, but pulled out one day before the protest.

In a video he posted on Instagram on Tuesday, the African Queen crooner said he would continue speaking for the people, even though he had been labelled as a coward.

“I watched with tears in my eyes as Nigerians came out yesterday to speak up and protest on the streets, on social media, Television and radio,” he said.

“I watched as Nigerians demonstrated that no one voice is louder than another. I also watched as people called me a coward but I am happy I am a coward who spoke out…”, he said.

2face has had to deny that he was
picked up by the Department of Security Service (DSS), thereby forcing him to dissociate himself from the protests.
from Dailypost.

*I Hope Tubaba listened to the advice given to him by Comedian Gordons?

Gordons said Tubaba is the only Illiterate he knows who can sing well and that he should use the weapon he has to fight the government and not lead protests..By weapon he meant Music.

He asked that if Tuface was given a Mic to speak, what would he say?
He says Fela and some others he mentioned used the weapon they know to fight the government in power..Please Tubaba listen to that advice on IG and see if you might like it.

    1. See Gordons that also struggles to express himself calling another an illiterate, wonders shall never end in Nigeria.

Gordons, if intellectuals are talking, can you even talk? With your grammatical blunders, terrible diction and pronunciation?? Common get lost.

All the people some of you worship abroad are not educated up to degree level, nonsense.

    3. Tubaba give it a rest already na. We've forgiven your "non-cowardice", stop forcing yourself down our throat. And yes, please sing. You do that so well.

And that's how I almost fell victim to scammers all in my desperation to get a job. Hmmm. God please compensate me.

      Good morning everyone

    5. I dont understand the basis for always calling Tuface an illiterate. Is it because he didnt attend a university? Many rich and influential people didn't attend uni. Why isnt everyone calling them illiterates? People are just quick to label Tuface an illiterate, the same way they label women "ashawo".
Not going to uni doesn't automatically make someone an illiterate. Let them stop it abeg

    6. Thank you @Tilly. People throwing around the word illiterate because of a lack of University degree. An illiterate has no formal education at all, and cannot read/write.

    7. Ndi obi agu! If the protest matters so much to you the floor is open to stage a 1-man protest and register your greviances lol

    1. INNOCENT IDIBIA 2FACE, what's this video for? Redemption for your absence in the protest? Are you trying to correct your wrong? What made you loose your voice when it was desperately needed? What if others CHICKENED out like you did will the protest still hold? What's the point you want to make here? Guess you have found your voice back again? Very well said but the TRUTH remains that you are still a COWARD. It's hard turning back the hand of the clock. I will still listen to your songs but you are still a COWARD until you prove yourself OTHERWISE. Fela will not be forgotten because he was BRAVE. They burnt his house, killed his mother, harassed him and at the end he died from other causes but not because he revolted. Sadly, when 2FACE is remembered in history, it will be because of COWARDICE. You lost your chance of becoming a HERO. As painful as your disappointment is, yet you are better than many who said nothing or didn't even come out to protest. Its painful to have others take glory for what you initiated. Next time Nigerians won't take your words serious. You did your best but it wasn't good enough as expected. Redeem yourself 2FACE and STAND UP man, for your children and for our children. We have forgiven you but we won't FORGET in a hurry. #IStandWithNigeria

  22. Stella notice the difference between this video and the initial one?

In video 1 : dude had puffy eyes, dude was not groomed his beards were rough and for an entertainer he kept looking at the ceiling and wouldn't look at the camera.

Video 2 was a breath of fresh air, the usual bubbly "hey my people" was what he started with! Unlike the Dear, Nigerians of video 1.

He looked properly groomed in video 2 and MOST IMPORTANTLY he looked into the camera, had a slight smile and was brimming with confidence!

Thunder from Sambisa forest fire security forces o despite his denials.

Tuface saving your family from the imminent threat was the WISEST thing you did!

Leave the leaking mouths that'll keep drooling spittle all over the Internet and lastly Gordons advice will help further this cause a bit.

    God bless the Idibia Family

  25. I very rarely comment because I no get time as my friend with plenty work and academic work loads !
But really upset about the insults and label of illiterate given to Tubaba !
Nigerians are so backward and judgemental, hypocrites!
Does someone become an illiterate just because he or she didn't have a university degree?
    The answer is No!
So why then is this guy who can construct good and articulate English becomes an illiterate! As am sure very well TUBABA can read and write!
OMG! How many Nigerians have uni degrees including your current president?
How many Oyibo people, entertainers etc even have a uni degree? The answer is very very few and yet they are impacting their society and world at large !
Lots of so called Nigerian uni graduates cannot formulate correct sentences !
It's never about uni degrees but about who one is and how one in impacting positive changes in the society!
    ENOUGH OF THIS ILLITERATE TALK!
TUBABA IS BY NO MEANS ANY ILLITERATE
PEOPLE SHOULD CHECK THE MEANING OF ILLITERACY
I AGREED TUBABA FALL HAND BIG TIME BY BACKING OUT AT THE MOST CRUCIAL TIME BUT I BELIEVE SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT MUST HAVE MADE HIM DO THAT !

  26. Yes 2face is a coward. One thing is to stand as activist, another thing is to know that your life will always be in danger in a country like Nigeria. If 2face was killed today because he matched for the sake of Nigeria problem, he will be legend like bob Marley and co. When people call him legend I wonder why he is referred as one because he is not. "African queen" which is his most sorted song can't make him a legend.
In other hand, I will advise 2Face to register with any university in the U.K. to study any course of his choice. To avoid insults being thrown at him because of his educational background. Even in Buckingham university, he can apply for fast track after 18months he is done. To avoid Nigerians tagging him as illiterate because anyone without a degree in Nigeria is called illiterate.
