    1. Stella use this method, avocado ,
Its oils and proteins will smooth and moisturize your locks without weighing down fine hair. Mash up half an avocado and add a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil. Shampoo hair, squeeze out water and apply mask. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse. My hair came out super soft .

      Coconut Oil Hair Mask
Coconut oil is heavy, which is great for penetrating deep into the hair shaft, but use it sparingly, especially if you have fine or thin hair. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply to the ends of damp hair. If the oil is solid just warm in the microwave until liquid before applying. Got really dry hair? Keep the oil on overnight and shampoo out in the morning.

  6. A woman pregnant with her first child paid a visit to her obstetrician's office. After the exam, she shyly said 'My husband wants me to ask you!' The doctor interrupts 'I know! I know!' placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder, 'I get asked that all the time. Sex is fine until late in the pregnancy.' 'No, that's not it!' the woman confessed. 'He wants to know if I can still mow the lawn.'

  9. Good morning bvs, happy Sunday to you all. Today is the 2nd Sunday in Lenten season. Let's continue to be in d mood of fasting and praying, and also giving alms to the needy. Those are the 3 important things to be done during this period.
For those of us not going to church, let us all utter words of appreciation to God for his endless love over us.
In the gospel passage, Jesus instructs us to LOVE OUR ENEMIES AND PRAY FOR THEM. Always try to pray for them. Not to pray for God to kill them or destroy them, cos most of us are our enemies. Let your prayer point be that: "God should change their heart and minds towards living a perfect life".
    .
    .
Parents please train up your child according to God's way, because when he is old, he will not depart from it. Those that think it is only words that can change an "African" child (kolewerk), try to include 'cain'. Yes cain your child. Spear the Rod, Spoil the child. The way my mum flogged me when I was small ehn, you ll pity me (only child ooo). Abara, iforu, igbaju etc. There was a day she flogged me and I formed fainting. Lolz. Come n see cry😂😂😂."jide jor(pls), dide ee,(standup), mabinu ooo." Omo I just bone, ino answer her oo for like 1minute. I just took pity on her🙌🙌, I woke up. Na better food I chop that night😎. Anytime those aunties remember that day, they ll jus hail me. I 'was' a stubborn child. My mum had to force my dad allow me go to d SEMINARY.😂😂😂 Omo I change ooo. Anyways, God bless her. RIP😞..I m a good boy now

If she ask me for money and I said give me time till tomorrow she won't talk to me unless I gave her the money, I use to give her atleast 2k everyday when am not even working yet sometimes I will lie to my parents that I need money for something in school just to give her the money, I am tired when am not even working, I am left with just 2 trousers and 2 shirts because I can't buy anything I must gave her the money, we've been doing this for the past four years am just tired.

  14. Cold morning here

Dunno if there will be a BBN post later so let me drop this here.

    About BBN last night

Housemates looked really nice. The guys on suits and ladies dinner dresses.
Marvis got a hawt bod mehnn...
Dj Neptune was the baddest! He totally turned it up on a 100.

After party, HMs continued dancing in the room. Efe and Marvis be having a moment locked in each others arms, dancing slowly and chaTting.

Debbyrise and bally dance? I didn't seem to be understanding. I think Debbyrise is very horny. Some doggy grinding...hmnn....

    And Big brother?
    Big broda mahn!
You had to switch the camera away from TTT & Bisola as they engaged in that erotic dance. Bisola had been rocking it with Bassey (some seductive moves) while TTT watched. Then he couldn't hold back any longer, he got up,'chanced' Bassey, rocked Bisola from behind, then slid underneath her, and rhythmic ally, swaying in an upward movement towards Bisola's something (all na dance *sideyes+ coughs)

...and then Big brother (RME) detecting the raunchy dance move, quickly removed camera to focus on TBOSS and Marvis at the dinning gisting.
    #wehdone oh biggie

The rest of the night? Bally/Marvis/Efe and Tboss gisting...till their beds called

And when it was about bedtime? I heard some naughty shit happened. Make una fill me in.

Off to church. Will read when am back.

Ps: say Bassey playing 'Mr Stephen' on 'The Johnson' kikikiki

    Okbye...for now.

After all the attention Big brother got from Nigerians, they are trying to reduce the sexual content they air.

Bisola retired into bed with Bally.. saw that this morning. They made out, alot.
Turns out Bally and Efe are 'stoners'

Do you think there is a fake housemate though?
Who do you think it might be?
If there is any which i doubt... I'm thinking TTT or TBoss.

  15. All my life I grew up under a strict and clean environment until I relocated to Lagos last year... I have two neighbours that I'm sharing verandah and staircase with, a lady and the other a guy(student) with his friends. These two neighbours want to kill me with dirtiness, I have complained to them bitterly and with love severally and yet no changes. I have even reported them to the caretaker of the house and yet the thing gots worse... I'm a guy and the only one that sweeps the verandah and staircase....If I dont sweep, the places can stay weeks looking more horrible and they won't care. I'm new in that compound and has spent money putting my apartment in order so I don't think I'll move out so soon considering the amount I put in the place.

Please is there any possible way that I can adopt to change these my neighbours?

    1. Sorry. That must be very annoying for you. Talk to the caretaker and tell him that you will get a cleaner to be cleaning the stairs and the compound at least three times a week. All the tenants will have to contribute towards paying the cleaner. The caretaker will be In charge of collection. Everyone Is happy.

    2. I think u shud pretend like u live alone in dat compound, cos if u keep waiting n looking at dem u wud continue to get angry n deprive urself from happiness, sweep wen u have d energy to,or beta still u people shud get som1 who wud b sweeping n u people will contribute n pay d person.

  20. Going several days without talking to that one person you used to talk to is one of the most painful shits ever. Why do people come into your life, and as soon as you get comfortable with them, they suddenly become too busy. Why? I am pained this morning and just need to air out. and most annoying is that when you reach out to ask what's wrong, they say nothing giving you that temporary feeling that all is well when you know it's not. What do guys want?
Can I talk to God? Will he answer me? I am not happy. Coupled with the fact that i just moved to Lag and I don't have friends

Hi stella, got my early Easter gift alert yesterday was 💃💃💃...May God bless you Richly and may be the source never go dry. .

The weekend is about to end. The fun here is out of this world. AgelessT, I saw your post, that one that takes you very high and drops you down is amazing. I had plenty fun. This place is some where to be if you havent visited. This is my second time here. Hi impact planet of the best place for weekend fun..

I read the Paul okoyes post and I have come to realise alot of people make comment without understanding what the post is saying. Paul wasn't saying people shouldn't go to school. Paul wasn't saying its bad to not know how to speak correct English. He wasn't saying you should speak disjointed English. What Paul was saying is ALLOW PEOPLE WITH ACCENT TO SPEAK IN PEACE AND STOP CALLING THEM IGBOTIC .. There are people that speak very good English with their accent. The Hausas have their accent. You can tell from the president. You have to listen hard to hear his speak. The igbos gave their own accent. Yorubas have accent. When I came to Lagos, it took me a while to understand what some Yorubas were saying when they were speaking English, that was because of their accent. Some anambra I know will put r where L is meant to be and L where r is meant to be. It's their accent. The French, Scottish, British, Turkish, Chinese's and all speak English with their accents. Those who have had business to do with Chinese will tell you how bad it is. So why the mockery of a Nigerian speaking with accent..

I for one do not speak with an accent. Because I was raised in the north. And we speak English most of the time in my house but that doesn't mean I'll downgrade someone with an accent. It doesn't make sense. So people should learn to understand a post before commenting. Some of you were leaving his point and talking about how he is shouldn't have sent his kids to school or blah blah blah. Leaving his point behind. Alot of educated people speak with an accent.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Don't mind them, we have lost everything, our culture, our identity...now those with an accent, they want to force them to keep quiet. Who exactly are you with your American British Ghanaian accent embellished with Italian and French toppings.

      Delete
    2. The day I read Chimamanda's book - Americana is the day I stopped trying to speak like the British. I had always thought that in order to be heard by these Oyinbo people, you must sound like them. Not true. I'm a highly educated Yoruba doctor, but I speak with my "normal" accented English. If you don't understand me, that's your problem. So far none of my patients have ever complained.

      Delete
    3. I had my early life in the North and I don't have the igbo accent. Paul actually has a point, I hate when people form the 'innit' accent or the American accent. If you we look at Nigerians who speak properly, look at the likes of Oyedepo, Adeboye, Ngozi Okonjo.. Those are people who speak properly to mention a few. Let's not forget the Hausa's /Fulani's have a very sexy way of speaking English

I'm waiting for the right time so I and my mom can sue him and he must provide all my dad's wealth he has been chopping, using the proceeds to build houses and buying Cars with that his UGLY Wife..I already deleted his comment and Blocked his ass off..He must Be very Foolish !! This has affected my esteem in some way. Guys tend to have a problem with my weight. some say it outright without caring about my feelings. Some don't call me after sex. I feel my boyfriend is just managing me. 8. Come o,madame come first. Do you know that there are guys that get turned on by your appearance, I ve a guy friend, he doesn't go for girls with ass because according to him, the ass will obstruct penetration. He likes them fat and flat with alot of flesh (folds) to play with during sex. There's a man for every woman. If you think your man looks down on you because of your shape, then he doesn't love you.Stop having sex with any guy for the now, work on your self esteem because it's very low from the way you described yourself in your write-up.
Nobody complete and no woman is ugly, everybody dey package. Learn how to package yourself,When dressing, highlight that part of your body that you know it's beautiful...flaunt your legs if you ve fine legs, wear more of cleavage revealing tops if you ve nice cleavage.Wear longer top to cover your hip/ass region so people won't notice it on time.
There re different body type, we all can't ve the Victoria secret model looks.check out your body type on the net and what suits it.

Been seeing tonto n her hubby issues on internet, I don't support DV in any form, but think of it , most DV comes with a cheating spouse. I remb when Tonto and promise "marble house festac" used to roll. And how sometimes at nyt you see d wife going round saying her midnyt prayers or cusses!!!! I guess because she wasn't a celeb so no1 heard her story. So watching tonto's video,i didn't know what to think coz all I tot of was that woman.
Now d thing about marriage, the only people who know d real truth is tonto and her hubby coz now different stories are popping up. I hope they both get past it because it's truly a mess on the internet.
Still catching up on d blog from Friday,i have missed a lot.

Am off to bed, with this time change in less than an hour sleep 'll be super short.

Put a lil quantity on cotton wool and place it on the affected part but don't swallow it.leave it for some minutes.. avoid chewing with that particular side of your mouth because if any particle should enter the hole, the worm abi wetin dey worry person there will come back.
Pele o.take Panadol extra for the other ones. The teeth region is connected to the ear and it's like it's been disturbing you for long hence the transfer to your ear.

  48. @Bv oguike- I saw ur comment. Now let me put this straight once and for all. If you see me in real life, I don't talk. I'm what many people call a snob. Cos I'm literally straight-faced the whole time. But I write. Right from high school days I won school and state competitions for essay writing. I write ALOT. So if when see penning long comments, it's because I'm used to writing. Not because I'm someone who talks. You can't stay with me in the same house because you'd be too bored by my silence. So if you think I carried my brother's issue like a placard, well you have to wake up from that dream. Should I have shared on this blog? Of course not! But heck! I've met people through this blog who have shared worse stories with me. I'm too well-behaved to start spelling it out. But apparently, some of us were raised in the gutter with little or no awareness. So their cup of garri and hot milk.

Its only in Nigeria that people dealing with drug related issues always try to hide such things. Abroad, it's not a biggie. Lots of Hollywood celebs would openly tell you they're battling an addiction and they've checked into rehab. This ensures people get the necessary support they need and see that friends and family can be supportive to them on their journey. My boss knows, a two close friends know, my pastor knows, and close family friends know. Even his friends, have been so supportive. It's that thing of 'not sharing' that makes people seem confused when they have such issues. Because they don't have a support group. My family and I are working on an NGO for that. Pastor Tony Rapu and Paul Adefarasin (who battled with drug addiction when he was younger) are very open to talking about such issues. So saying 'don't talk about it' doesn't mean I carry a placard on my head. But if I see someone going through the same issue, I like to say: here, this is how we handled it. You're not alone. Not go silent and leave them lost in thoughts. See the comment section? People didn't even have good answers to give the poster. That silence might be the Nigerian attitude that has caused the ignorance on such issues.

Of course, old BVs know that me before I will have given that poster a couple of advices. But, I can't be bothered right now. Especially after the low mindedness on this blog that has been displayed severally. For those who care to know, we have made very real progress which of course came from collective emotional and financial support. So I have no more stories to give you. Just stay away from drugs. It doesn't have to be cocaine that gets you. Even Alcohol has ruined people so don't underestimate anything. Just Stay away.

    Happy Sunday!!

    1. Pls tell me o. We are just so ashamed of what people will say, how we will be judged that we forget the most important thing of all. I once had to go for counselling because I was really depressed that I just felt like dying. When my family heard about it they were on my neck and judged me as if I had leprosy. But at the end, I was glad I did bcos I got back my sanity and took control of my life.
We are all thriving to be perfect bcos truly none is except God alone. I know this is a blog, but what many of you don't know is that this place is like a home away from home to most of us, me especially. Please let's be our brother's keeper

Please let's not be quick to judge people who really need help, pls let's stop bullying people who come here for help, if we don't have nice things to say about people, then it is better to say nothing at all.

    5. ....and that's the problem with Nigerians. It's a problem to talk openly about your problems because people would come for you, use it against you. Saw a flower classmate of mine yesterday and man, she was in a really pitiable situation but what she doesn't know is that she's slowly running into depression. I tried to bring it to her awareness but she wanted to get all tough since she's a 'Pako' and there's no such thing as depression for her, I just left it at that. This lady have been through a lot this past year and the barely ten minutes she spoke with me opened my eyes to a lot of things and that's why you'll see someone putting on SM a note to take his/her life and the comments that follow would be something like "should I get rope for you?" "how the suicide go be?" why is this so? Why can't we take things like that serious and know that mental illness is real?
Like Chikito rightly stated, everyone was brought up differently and not everyone have that awareness but what about now that SM have started opening our eyes to a lot of things, are we still going to pretend we don't know mental illness is real?

  49. SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT YEAR A
How good is your reconnection process to God during this Season of Lent? Have you ever thought about the power in the Sacrament of Reconciliation during this Season? Have you ever thought about being detached from the things of this world and relying solely on God’s power and plan? May His grace lead us throughout this Season of Grace and always; Amen.
As a further step to the disciplines of Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving of which this Holy Season is best known, the Word of God today unveils to us another discipline through which a holy soul, not only receives monumental blessings and favors from God but also beholds the glory of God which is the greatest desire of our souls; “my soul is thirsting for the Lord, when shall I see Him face to face” (Ps 42:2). Detachment is an attitude of the mind and heart which enables the human soul to focus on the right direction to God. Detachment is that attitude that knows the purpose of the temporal order and accepts the limit of their auxiliary function as against the false believe and attitude that our prestige and importance depends solely on our attachment to them. Detachment is one of the most powerful secrets of the fruitful and successful relationships with God in the bible.
The readings of today give us examples of persons who became models and whose relationships with God were exemplary because of their detachment from the things that are transient. Abraham in the First Reading (Gen 12:1-4) was able to move in response to God’s voice because he was a detached soul. An undetached soul cannot move and a soul that cannot initiate and complete a journey to God can never count her blessing like Abram did. Likewise in the Gospel Reading (Mt 17:1-9), the apostles Peter, James and John were able to ascend the mountain with Jesus for recollection because they were in this state. These apostles experienced the manifestation of Jesus’ glory. Like Abram who “went as the Lord told him”, leaving out every other thing, these disciples also “left everything and followed Jesus.” Movement is an indispensable characteristic of detachment; movement away from the distractive force of the things of this world and movement towards what really matters, to where God wants us to be and what He wants us to do.
As we continue in this Season of Lent, we must inoculate ourselves with the Injection of Detachment as against the sickness of attachment that is in circulation in the different sectors of our lives. God wants the best for you and for me and the secret of inheriting this best position which He bequeaths to us is by following the secret of Abraham, Peter, James, John, Paul, etc. Their one secret was detachment. The only attachment that is essential and indispensable is attachment to God. Attachment to God means listening to Jesus as the voice from the cloud commanded us today.
May God bless us with the grace of detachment and through it lead us to possess His manifold gifts and blessings; Amen. Happy Sunday; Fr Cyril
