Whistleblower Exposes Hijacked Relief Items Meant For IDPs

A whistleblower has help authorities to uncover a warehouse where food items which were meant for an IDP Center, are allegedly hijacked and kept.

The items are said to have been left in the warehouse for over a year, leading to the expiration of some items.

Some Nigerians have labeled the crime - "a direct hit against FG's efforts to support and reintegrate victims of the IDP Centers back into the mainstream society - a clear case of sabotage and inhumanity."

The burden of IDPs is not for the states and Federal Government to shoulder alone. It's a societal burden that must be carried by each and every Nigerian.

"We can contribute to the betterment of the victims if not financially at least, by keeping our eyes open to prevent unpatriotic elements from subverting government efforts to support the IDPs," said Maiwada Dammallam who shared the post on social-media.

Expectedly, the culprits were reported to be running from pillar to post trying to wriggle out of the embarrassing situation. This is a special appeal to those within Bauchi to dig further and ensure FG's efforts are not compromised.

It's our duty to keep our eyes open to ensure necessary action is taken to determine the guilt or innocence of the culprits and to also ensure IDPs around us always gets a fair deal" Maiwada further stressed.

  10. Every policy made, every idea birthed is being tarnished not by those who make this policies, but by people saddled with the responsibility of implementing these policies.....

How dare you hoard relief materials! Where is your conscience? This is a crime against humanity! But wait o... Where is the empathy?

This situation is likened to LG chairmen, senators, past President , even bureaucrats who diverts the scarce resources of this nation for personal use... Yet the road to their mansion in the village is unmotorable.

You think you are doing me? One day your coffin will ply that road on its journey to a suppose place of rest... The vibrations, turnings and the blood of those who died on those roads will welcome you. There will be rest.

I Dont want to get emotional on this.. But I will like to know..How hard is it to provide basic amenities for those who danced, toiled and withstood the scorching sun to put you in that position.

I am tired of hearing about the good thief (side eyes @akpabio) or the man that built the biggest round about in west Africa. I am beginning to understand and appreciate buhari's stance on corruption.

    I Sugar... #standwithbuhari.
    #deaths penalty-for corrupt officials.

  12. You can just imagine.... why waste a huge supply, allowing them to expire without dispatching them.

Or they intended to alter the expiration date and sell it instead.

Whistle blowing seems to be the lucrative business in Nigeria now... anyways it's seems to be doing more good.

  21. Nigerians are extremely wicked people! They insult God with their warped sense of godliness. Useless pathetic excuses for human beings. If you'received different, consider yourself an exception but in general, this sums up an average Nigerian. Terrible, wicked, savage, mindless beasts! The white man was not wrong about you. He just chose to rub on the bad side for his own benefits but again, he was not very far from the truth. Look at an average African today. What must they be like in the past?

  25. The govt should have handed those items to red cross to distribute not to the state govt to distribute! Nobody checks! Wicked people!

    ReplyDelete
  26. If they can do this to food items then think of the large sums of money given by international NGOs. That's where the real stealing is carried out.

  29. I think the best way is to share half of the goods as soon as they arrive then after few weeks, they can share the remaining ones with proper monitoring, accountability, etc. Keeping it will even make few of them to.remove some goods for personal usage

  30. Are these greedy people not wicked than the BH who displaced these people? Blessings to the whistle blowers.

  31. The people in charge of these things are too greedy and wicked. I heard somewhere that these IDPs were given spoilt beans to eat, I even thought the government did not provide any means of feeding for them. These wicked people should be prosecuted. The case must not be swept under the carpet again pls.

  32. Instead of lamenting start your complaint with President Buhari who hoarded the Nigerian embassy in UK for his personal use and the use of his family while refusing to appoint an ambassador for 2 years. Then ask why president Buhari banned government officials from overseas medicals while he sat in London for 50 days with his hangers on for his failed medical treatment, on the public purse. Then ask how and why CBN is selling 1 dollar at 2 naira to some northerners for roundtripping and the presidency is giving oil blocs to their in-laws, and the vice president is taking bribes while the economy fails. Then ask why bloodthirsty islamist fulani herdsment think it is their god-given right to kill Christians unchallenged, while police arrest their victims kinsmen. When you find the answers, you will know why evil people can hide food for IDP's in broad daylight. The answer is the devilish deceptiveness of northerners, and the slavish blindness of southerners, president and vice president included. Bloodsucking Dullardeens.
