Lessons from Statement Made By Evans The Notorious Kidnap Kingpin

Did you learn anything from Confessional statement made so far by notorious kidnap kingpin Evans?

1. Some of your business partners might just be gathering information before striking, be careful and do not show off. Equally mind what you say and discuss with 'friends'.

"All I did was to rent a shop in Aspanda and Alaba markets and started selling motor spare parts. This gave me the opportunity to mix in properly. I also opened a haulage company that carries mostly containers. My customers were the big boys in the market. This business helped me to know when they are doing well judging by the number of containers that they import."- Evans

2. Keeping late nights is not advisable. Be mindful of certain areas you go to relax cos you don't know who's watching or monitoring you.

"It was one of my boys Uche that brought the job. To be sure, we monitored his movement and discovered that every other evening he normally goes to a bar to drink and returns home late."- Evans

“I came back in the same 2013 and rented a house in Lakeview estate, Amuwo Odofin. It was then that I realised that I was wasting my destiny in armed robbery. I saw how successful most of my Igbo brothers were. They had little or no protection and were always seen at beer palours. I never knew that most of these men at Alaba market and Aspanda market were very rich till I started living among them."- Evans

3. Alternate your routines and your routes to work or relaxation spots.

"It was then another person suggested that we should pick up Young Shall Grow chairman. We monitored him and discovered his daily routine especially where he goes to play table tennis."- Evans

4. Ladies, all that glitters is not gold, demand that he takes you to his office or business venture... Pay surprise visits often...

“I tried my best to keep her away from the real source of my wealth. I had established several businesses, which she knew about. I am not good with dates so I might not remember the date that I married my wife, all I know is that it was 11 years ago since my first child is 10 years plus. I met her when she was still a teenager and in Senior Secondary school. She was so pretty and innocent so I got attracted. Then I was a trader at Ladipo and was making small money there. I toasted her and succeeded in convincing her after showering her with so many gifts. Along the line, she got pregnant and it’s an abomination so I quickly convinced her family to allow me to marry her. They asked me what I was doing; I told them that I was a spare parts dealer based in Lagos." - Evans

5. Kidnappers and robbers go to church. Meanwhile be mindful of the kind of testimonies you share in church, you wouldn't know who is sifting your stories.

“Any day you are going to do thanksgiving, we are going to be there.” I now asked him, how would I know you will be there? He replied that, I shouldn’t worry; he would come and follow me to thank God. “Onwa, but your God is great oh”. - Evans to one of his victims.

    1. That staff own doesn't work. Especially when the staff is the companies accountant or in the financial department. Or even sales department. They will think all the money going in and out of the company is yours. Not minding their is bank loan, business capital, cost for running business before profit

  5. Everybody is a suspect. Na anambra men likes to go to beer parlour to drink after coming back from Aspanda. Them full Adetola Aguda when i was staying there. See them see pot belle.

Giving thanksgiving in church, you cant try that in my church because Holy Ghost searches the heart, plan evil and let God reveal it at once about such plan. I pity churches that dont allow the Holy Spirit to direct them.

Like I say everybody is a SUSPECT. You trust yourself and no one else

  12. I learnt that you can never be too careful, it's only God that saves us, one of Evans victims said it was one of his employers that gave him out , so will it make u to stop employing people? My advice is that we should try and have fear of God in is and stop hurting people, stop crime, report crime and don't be part of any ill gotten money, let us love ourselves enough to stop hurting each other, people should get decent jobs, be contended with why u have, treat others the way you want to be treated. STOP CRIME!!!!!!!

    1. This is what I meant above with my comment. When it comes to staff, you can't shield anything. Some of them even know how much you make more than you because that's their department. Will that now stop you from employing people

Just be vigilant, prayerful and always follow your instinct

  20. What I have learnt is as a woman when you meet a man. Pls ask ask ask what he does for a living. I know they may lie but visit his work place, meet his colleagues. Ask questions about his day to day activities.
Be observant if you know your man earns 200k or has just a small shop. yet he is driving a 50m range and living in a duplex in ikoyi. And showering gifts going into millions.
Ask questions about him. Find out about his family in the village. People he went to school with.
Then SNOOP SNOOP like your life depends on it. As women we always have this intuition and sixth sense that something isn't right. But we are most times blinded by love and riches.
I wonder if his wife's family didn't do their investigation in the village or they were too blinded by his riches or because she was pregnant.

    1. On point babe,so on point. And I have to add that some parents have become so greedy, always comparing their children to others without knowing what they do. I remember one day,my mum was telling me that she doesn't know if my kid sister gives her salary to a man as she doesn't provide and always broke.her reason is cos a friend of hers that works at the same place is using this same salary to take care of a whole family. I shouted her down cos I know how much my sister earns and it's paltry amount but better than staying at home. It can't even get one person a decent living talk more of a whole family. I asked her if she knows what that my sisters friend does on the side. The babe probably has one sugar daddy supplementing her income and here you are comparing her to your daughter. I was so vexed that day.how did mothers become so greedy? I married a fairly okay man that i didnt love because of her and to help my family.I wasnt born with silver spoon but still didnt have that thirst for money even before i got married. But life changed my mum and made her more greedy. She has falken from this high moral individual and became money loving insensitive person.poverty twist people's minds alot. Never flaunt wealth in front of poor people except in the process of helping them.

  21. STOP FLAUNTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR ADDING YOUR LOCATION TAG ON POSTS. STOP POSTING PHOTOS OF YOUR KIDS IN THEIR SCHOOL UNIFORMS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. SAFEGUARD YOUR LOVED ONES. LADIES, ALWAYS ASK YOUR MAN ALL NECESSARY QUESTIONS BEFORE COMMITING TO HIM.

    Thank you.

  22. A childhood friend of mine upon learning of my immense wealth once called me on the phone to come to the city he lives in (port Harcourt) that he had a dream that I was being attacked so he has arranged 5 pastors to pray for me when I come. I told him I am not coming that I can pray for myself. I later found out that this was a result of him using my story as testimony in his church. His pastors upon hearing decided my money should become theirs. Secondly, an old school mate of mine out of the blue called me that he was coming to my city (Lagos) for a wedding but did not have money for hotel, can he stay with me. I said hell no. Why would a poor man want to stay in a rich man's house except he wants to do something fishy, especially, someone you have not seen for 20 years. And why are you forcing yourself to attend a wedding you cannot afford? You always have to be street smart.

  24. 16 LESSONS FROM EVANS' SAGA...
    1. For every evil deed…the comeuppance is 'sure' to come. It’s a matter of time.
    2. Life always offers a window of repentance to an evil doer. But most of them do not recognize such opportunities and what comes afterwards usually spells doom for them. Evans was said to have had a brush with death in a particularly deadly operation, which decimated some of his group members. That experience should have sobered him up. The wasted lives of his colleagues should have taught him that it could have been him but NO…Evans would go regroup. And even began to name his price in hard currency.
    3. ‘It's mostly on borrowed time’...this is what I thought to myself as I looked through the pictures of his exotic interiors. Even the tooth brushes in Evans’ bathroom spelt 'dollars'. Yet, the sad realization is that the day he was captured is most likely his last time with such luxury. What then, is the point of it all?
    4. 'Blood money' comes with sleepless nights. The extent he went with 'security and precautionary measures' doesn't leave anyone in doubt that every ring of his door bell sends his heart to his mouth. If it costs your rest of mind…it is not worth it.
    5. Evil minds are incapable of going down alone. Anybody who has the mind to inflict unimaginable 'suffering' on another can never spare you (no matter how close you are to them)-when push comes to shove. If they have to go down, you are coming along. Did Evans hesitate before 'singing' about the participation of his wife (yes the mother of his five children) in his 'business'?
    6. Every ruthless criminal is a coward at heart. Some of the pictures show that Evans actually peed on himself-when he was captured in his bedroom.
    7. ‘'Evans the kidnapper’' became the most ‘googled’ words (from this side of the world) when he was captured. But a lot of that curiosity is actually out of ‘awe’ by some people who couldn't believe Evans’ ‘luck’ before now. And it shows that a lot of people (in this environment) have skewed orientation towards vain glory and wealth acquisition.
    8. The ransom that Evans collected from some of his victims is enough to liquidate even a Dangote.
    9. Most people are not worth your envy…there could be more to that ‘enviable’ life style.
    10. When your time is up...even life will help push you to your end. Think of the premonition that made Evans relocate his family to Ghana, the forces that brought him back and made him plan his proposed escape to South Africa only a day late.
    11. Blood money/ill gotten wealth? Their 'vanishing' can be the easiest. Evans had been amassing his ill gotten wealth for about a decade but it would take one fell swoop (in a matter of hours) for him to practically lose everything.
    12. You have no right bringing any child that your name will become a STIGMA on- into this world. What you are giving to such a child is a ‘life time trauma’.
    13. If Evans ends up going down alone. Life must go on for ‘wify’. Always think about this whenever an unreasonable spouse tries pushing you into doing ‘the questionable’.
    14. If all that ingenuity, passion, hard work and dedication in doing evil (over that length of time) was channeled positively...Evans would probably be amongst the richest Nigerian youths today. For every effort expended on dishonest means…a better reward rests with the opposite.
    15. Suspect a spouse who maintains no ties with any relatives...especially parents and siblings.
    16. Every 'bad person’ wants to repent when caught. Anyway, Evans can rot (sorry 'repent') in jail...there are 'born-again' there too!

  26. Family problem can destroy a bright future of anyone, man or woman. Even after 30years of wahala, the parents are still at war with each other.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Let me tell you how I hire help in Nigeria... all that American niceness left me 3yrs ago when I started my own family.

    1. I do due diligence... I learnt to interview from the Americans. It is not Q and A type interview... it is a conversation. When people feel you are genuinely interested in them; they will give you details that will shock you. And someone like me... I remember even the most innocuous details and I write them down.

    2. Every domestic staff of mine has a file. Every staff of mine has an eFILE. It is very important.

    3. I never EVER pay salary by hand. I don't pay anything above 5k by hand. It is important that who ever you hire has a bank account number. That's how to trace them. To own a bank account now in Nigeria you must have done BVN which includes finger prints; another form of identification usually a drivers license; permanent voters card; Nigerian passport or National identity card. If they are students then a valid School Identity. You cannot open a bank account or hold account with company ID or fake ID...

    4. Have I said always pay money into an account? No matter how small? Even the ones that look like Virgin Mary will deny you ever paid them when the chips are down. You should have a track of payment. If they do not have an account, please open one for them. Besides, that's why I like BVN. They collect personal data tire... So it means even your village and LGA is in a database somewhere. Please always pay domestic staff salaries into their account. We only have to train our law enforcement on how to use these data to track criminals...

    5. If they have family members they are close to; you should get to know them. And get those ones bank account details. How I do this is by saying I want to send money directly for Christmas or Sallah to their parents or their spouse so that it will reach them. They will gladly give you the account details of such a person. Even if it is a one off payment. Save that account detail for the future. Family ties are strong in Nigeria and if you ever need to find them you can track them that way.

    6. I take lots of pictures which I don't need for anything. Like when we goof around in the office or at events or at home. I always include the help. I want to have their pictures in case I am asked to produce a likeness.

    7. Anyone who lives with me as a domestic aide gets registered at Force HQ. Yes you have to pay to do the registration. But it is worth it. This was formerly limited to house helps and nannies. After yesterday I am adding driver to the fold. It also puts the fear of God in them. Look for the nearest divisional HQ and register your helps.

    8. I also ask for pictures of their family members sometimes. I put it in my family album. After all they are part of the family.

    9. Whatever work related money I give, even for medical treatment is signed for. Did I say open a file? Shred the file after every 24/36months if you want. If you run a private company please make company identifications for them. And in the identity form ensure you get every personal detail possible. Also ensure you get valid signatures. Let them sign like 20 times on a blank sheet. But also take them to the National Identity Management Commission and help them get an identity card. You pitch to them that it's for their own good. Also make a copy of all the identity slips for your files. It contains all sort of vital information.

    10. With the excessive rate of kidnapping and armed robbery in Nigeria today our personal safety and security is in our hands. Those closest to you are the most likely to know your weak points and are more likely to be tempted to do you harm.

Nothing like being laid back or lazy when dealing with these folks. Until we get proper security you have to greatly supplement by being proactive...

Thank me later. Copied from my whatsapp group
