INFORMATION ON GHANA
Hello Stella. I love you and what you stand for, more ink to your pen. Your blog gives me life. Pls I need information and suggestions from bvs about Ghana. Stella, I'm tired of Nigeria, I keep struggling and yet nothing to show for it, I still live from hand to mouth. No electricity to work with, insecurity, high cost of living, etc.

I have decided to relocate to Ghana. I heard the light there is stable and their economy is booming, 1 Ghana cedis is now 71naira.

I would love to know more about the country, which city should I settle down in that is favourable to foreigners? Which business or job is lucrative there? How is accommodation there? How much should I arrange for this? Can one go with ECOWAS passport? And so on.
Here is my email: affiong02@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Malt is 3.50ghc. The time i went there i was given 400ghc for just pocket money. Food is at home o. Yet dat money didnt last 2weeks.abeg i prefer my country. U can visit Ghana bt living is a no no.transportation is high. Cost of living is too high joor

    8. Ladybirdbanks you don't mean it. I was even thinking of telling the poster to lap me if she/he is going by road so that I can be free from this Nigeria wahala.
But I think since cost of living is high in Ghana, cost of labour will be high too.

      Delete
    9. That is not true pls @ ladybird banks. I have lived in Ghana for 15 years. Attended university, worked in a bank here and currently doing business.
How can you spend approximately 40k pocket money in two weeks and you blame Ghana?
What's with corn flakes?Ghanaians don't eat cornflakes.. It is consumed by only Nigerians. Some smart naija business people bring it in for the small Nigeria market.
At poster...Ghana is good! Constant light and water. Lights go off only when your card is finished or once in a blue moon..every other month for a short while and its quickly restored.
As at today, 10k is =124 Ghana cedis.
Food stuff is cheap and with 124 cedis you can buy enough foodstuff to last you a month! Meat and fish exclusive though. Go to okaishie market ,malatta market or marina market to buy your cheap foodstuff.
However you can't get ogbono, ugu, achi, knorr Maggi, akamu etc from the Ghanaian regular markets, but you can get it every Thursday at kantamanto around arena. Just enter okada at kantamanto traffic light and tell them that you are going to buy Nigerian food stuff.
Millions of Nigerians live here and you can make it without resorting to 419 and dubious means.
Avoid the expensive areas, you can get a room self contained for 2 years.. Mostly 2 years for around 180-200k naija equivalent depending on the area.
When you come in, you will find lots of.people to help you. Just be wise and prayerful.
No where easy. Its what you make of it.
      Goodluck
Meanwhile me dey miss NEPA..I wan come house back

      Delete
    10. Transportation is cheap if you avoid taxis. You get a bus anywhere.
Get your passport, make sure it is stamped on all borders. Within the 2 months you are given, go get your resident permit.
You will not be disturbed as a foreigner if your documents are in place.
Phones and phone accessories, computers, food , cafe..etc are cool businesses.
You can also get a job if you try hard enough.
Winners, redeemed, all the naija churches are here and you can even run into someone you have not seen in years..lol and you can get people to help out.
Ghana is good. I tell you.
      No venture, no success.
Ghana is safe.. Cost of living is cheap.if you don't want to form "big boy" here.
I don tire to type. When coming take either GUO, ABC or Cross country. Call the bus conductor aside and explain(only ABC) has suit wearing conductors..lol
With the other transport, talk to the drivers. Explain and you may just get help.
      Get your yellow card too.
      All the best.

  5. Don’t be afraid to get back up – to try again, to love again, to live again, and to dream again. Don’t let a hard lesson harden your heart. Life’s best lessons are often learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes. There will be times when it seems like everything that could possibly go wrong is going wrong. And you might feel like you will be stuck in this rut forever, but you won’t. When you feel like quitting, remember that sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right. Sometimes you have to go through the worst, to arrive at your best.

My father was a very rich man, he was d first set of people that went to Lagos business school(LBS) in 1995 at VI where Pat Utomi was their lecturer even with Christopher kolade, Bunmi Oni of cadbury then, ask around if u think am lying. He travelled out for his graduation in Spain, Barcelona to celebrate their graduation,he went with Lufthansa airline and he was given some things in plane like very small perfume etc that he gave us the children but when he returned back, he was sent away from d company that sent him to LBS. He was then the General Sales Manager, since then, we are yet to be out of problem. I was 15years then(1995),my dads driver always pick me from Maryland(was in secondary school) So if u r still alive, don't mock others that are down for you don't know how ur life will end.May you not all face problems greater than ur age. Planning for the small cold room business by next year as suggested by most of u, God willing. God bless you all!

Infact if I happen to plug my earphone into my laptop while watching a good movie, I will feel elated. Bt not anymore. I don't know what happened. I think of death more often and I am always bitter. Angry at everyone and everything. Don't like people around me, like being alone all the time. I think I need a therapist. Guys help a sister out, what can I do to allieviate the situation. 39. #Story_1

A handsome man went into a hotel and asked to see the boss. When the boss came, the story began.

-The client: is room 39 empty?
    -The boss: yes, sir.
-The client: can I book it?
-The boss: of course you can.
    -The client: thank you.

Before going to the room, the client asked the boss to provide him with a black knife, a white thread 39 cm and an orange 73g.

The boss agreed though he was surprized at the weird things the client asked to have.

The client went into his room, he didn't ask for food or anything else.

Unfortunately for the boss, his room was next to room 39.

After midnight, the boss heard strange voices and noise in that client's room. Voices of wild animals and of utensils and dishes being thrown on the floor.

The boss didn't sleep that night. He kept thinking and wondering what might be the source of the noise.

In the morning, when the client handed the keys to the boss, the latter asked to see the room first.

He went to the room and found everything alright. Nothing unusual. He even found the thread, the black knife and the orange on the table.

The client paid the bill and gave the bellboys a very good tip and left the hotel smiling.

The boss was in a shock but he didn't reveal what he heard to the bellboys. In fact, he started to doubt himself.

After one year, the client showed up again. He asked to see the boss again. The boss was in a puzzle.

The client asked the same things: room 39, black knife, white thread 39cm and an orange 79g.

This time, the boss wanted to know the truth by all means possible. He spent a sleepless night, waiting for something to happen. After midnight, the same voices and noises started, this time louder and more indecipherable than the year before.

Again, before leaving, the client paid his bill and left a large tip on the table for the bellboys. The smile didn't leave his face.

The boss started searching for the meaning of everything the client asked to have. Why did he ask room 39? why the white thread? why the black knife??? In fact, the boss didn't arrive to any convincing answer to all these questions.

The boss now was eagerly waiting for the month of March, the month in which the client showed up.

To his surprise, on the first day of March, the same client showed up. He asked the same questions. Wanted to book the same room, wanted to have the same things as before.

The boss again heard the same noises, this time more louder than before.

In the morning, when the client was leaving the hotel, the boss apologized politely to the client and asked to know the secret behind the noises in the room.

-''If I tell you the secret, do you promise to never reveal it to anyone else?''
-''I promise I will never let anyone know''.
    -''Swear''
    -''I swear I won't reveal your secret''
So finally, the client revealed his secret to the boss.

Unfortunately, the boss was a sincere person. Till today, l now he hasn't revealed his secret to anyone.
When he does, I will still let you know... 😄#Barka D'Sallah...
