Attorney General Of The Federation Malami Says No Need To Bring Diezani To Nigeria For Trial

Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general of the federation
has said that Diezani Alison-Madueke, former minister of petroleum resources, will not be brought back to Nigeria for trial as demanded by her.....

Malami said since she is already facing charges of money laundering in the United Kingdom, “it is important to face the charges there than for her to come as a mere witness in a case in Nigeria”.

Speaking to the media after the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, Malami said the federal government “will not take any decision that will jeopardise what the UK government is doing”.

“If Nigeria feels strongly that there is need to bring Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke here to face charges of corruption, government will not hesitate to do that,” he said.

As things are now, there is no need for that since the UK government is already investigating her and government will not take any decision that will jeopardise what the UK government is doing.

From The Cable

*Hahahahahahahaha this people are wicked..I think they saw through her plan and thought it wise to let her stay put where she is.....

Well, she has a right to want to defend herself though!

Ehnnn? Which Nigeria? Nigerians feels otherwise oh! so she should face her charges there. That's what Nigerians feel and wantπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

As a good citizen Diezani is, she should abide and remain there.

Diezi baby, Remember u.k is where you bought properties and Where you always run to for health check up and all right? Meaning you know it works better than Naija. Why do you want to run back to Naija now? a "country that doesn't work?"

Diezi baby, remain there ok? Calm godu down. You will be fine.😁

Anybody that wants to lie in her name will call her out,we saw the season one of this with abacha cos the man was dead and can't say which is true about him or false.how can a whole AGF say a thing like this? Smh for Nigeria.

  2. The Federal Government cannot call somebody a thief in one breath and refuse to allow her clear her name in another. She has been charged for multiple offences across the country and cannot be convicted in absentia. The FG must choose, discontinue all the charges in Nigeria let her stand trial in UK or allow her return to stand trial. The prosecution team of this government is a huge joke and that is the reason they will not won high profile cases. You cannot shave a man"s head in his absence, he must be present for the shaving to be done

    1. She is not a party in the case she wants to be extradited for. She wants the court to make her a party and also order her extradition to Nigeria. Obviously she is not allowed to leave the UK hence she wants to hoodwink Nigeria to bring her here through the courts.
She tried to do so through Charly boy and his mumu campaign but failed. She can't be smarter than us all. She is a desperate criminal who will do anything to avoid jail time. Remember she said she is receiving cancer treatment in the UK but all of a sudden wants to return to Nigeria.
This woman deserves to remain in UK and possibly go to prison.

Charly boy is a paid pdp agent don't be deceived his intentions are far from noble.

    2. She is not facing any trial in Nigeria, her name is only mentioned as a conspirator and not a party because she is at large. She ran away claiming cancer treatment. Now she wants to come back because UK has filed cases against her and has restricted her travels.

  3. The temerity of it all- she ran to the UK to evade the law but seeing that jail term is imminent and non negotiable she wants to return.
Please we do not need you here, as you have role to play in the economy (besides didn't you say you were too ill to return).
When the leaders have no integrity corruption permeates the entire system .

  5. Anon 10.13 please park well. Diezani will remain in the UK, she will face charges and she will spent time in Holloway prison whether you like it or not.

When she was running from Buhari, what she did not know it that she was running straight into the hands of her enemies.
Diezani are you surprised?. Did you think only the Nigerian politicians are the connected and powerful ones, or is it because you are a thief you thought we all are thieves.

Diezani you will spent time in prison, it has been written and will surely come to pass. You will be a lesson to all these thieves that think they can steal and run to the West to hide.

    Story.
