President Buhari Reappoints Orji As Sovereign Wealth Fund MD

Pesident Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Uchechi N. Orji as Managing Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA)
Presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina announced this on Thursday.

Mr. Orji was originally appointed as Managing Director of the NSIA in 2012 and served a five-year term, which is renewable for one more term.

The Buhari renewed his term due to the success recorded by the NSIA under Mr. Orji’s watch. According to Mr. Adesina, the NSIA’s assets now stand at over $2 billion, which is invested in infrastructural and economic tabilization funds.
