Boredom Eliminating Post

This isn't fair............

This might be ''Assuming'' for some but for others, this might be a reality and if they don't,they end up getting beaten blue black..

I have heard of someone who was woken up to go and get pounded yam,it was poundo yam so she made it but she ended up with a hot slap cos the soup got burnt whilst she dozed off...

You wake up by this time to ask for Moin moin? You dey normal?

I really dont know if i will make the Moin moin if this ever happens to me.....

This is an absolute case of total insensitivity, selfishness and wickedness from a man to the bone of his flesh(wife)!!

Personally,i 'd just stand and make Tea for myself while i wait for the break of dawn..

A wife is a helper and not a slave!

    5. I know a husband that do something similar.

Like for instance, the wife prepared rice for dinner, he will come back late in the night and insist he is not taking rice, that she should go and defrost soup and make semo for him.

This is someone that said he wants to eat rice for dinner before they started preparing it.

      Characters dey.

Anyways the couple are now separated. Too many fights and quarrels. And come to think of it, they were all "lovey and dovey" in the first 6months of the marriage.

      2. Some boys who don't even know what a steady relationship looks like much less being a husband will bark and growl that such a man is this n that.
      Hmmmmmm.
Until it happens to you, honestly you don't know if you'll demand such or if you'll say yes or no.

Thats the height of insensitivity. If hes known to throw a temper, my sister to avoid chopping slaps, go & start washing beans oh with tears in ur eyes & catarrh, maybe that'd put him off, cus hes probably lookin to start a fight!

To go make moi moi from scratch at that hour is a big No.

      Delete
    3. @ Andromeda, what’s the difference?
He still wakes you up to feed him. To me it’s the same. African men need lessons.

      Delete
    4. Anon 00:33, when you put it that way, of course it's not right and I won't appreciate anyone waking me up for something he can do himself.
But then again, I have had food cravings at odd hours.
So if I can get up to warm up something for myself, I just may do the same for him honestly.
Depends on the situation/scenario, and I trust him not to make it a constant thing.
But to prepare from scratch, that one can't ever happen.

"A husband" that makes such a demand as a habit has got issues brooding with the wife for a long time. That marriage isn't normal at all.

My hubby never ask for food in the night but if he wakes me up in the night one day to demand for moi-moi,I will gladly prepare it.
    Why??
I am his family, his wife. We have each other.
He loves me so much to tolerate my excesses, why can't I tolerate his?
I will gladly prepare his moi-moi and even poundo for him.

    2. Thanks and I guess it depends on the kind of relationship you have. Am a man and can say my wife will gladly do it.She will ask cause I have been there for her and it's not about money now. And she has also been my mum, sis, wife, baby sitter and best friend.

Then in the morning, I'll tell him never to wake me for such unless it's an emergency

  27. Nah! Common! Stop playing mehn.

  28. Kai! Too many negative people around here jo! Anyways, I can think of three reasons why a man might make this awkward request:

    1. The relationship already sucks and/or he is looking for trouble (for whatever reason). Unless you want the trouble, I'd suggest not to do anything to promote the idea. I like the idea of getting up, in the pretense of making it, and then locking myself in the guest room. But that won't help every woman - not every home has a guest room and some troublesome men won't mind breaking down the door you locked (or make at least an attempt).

    2. The guy is just a spoilt man-child. This might wrap up into 1 also.

    3. The relationship is good and healthy and both of you already are into waking each other up and looking for each other trouble in some weird way that is peculiar to both of you - it usually doesn't cause a fight, though it could lead to some banter or a compromise offer like "suck some milk instead". It might even be a dare situation, like the wife daring the husband that he can't ever make such a request, which of course won't cause a quarrel, probably just some annoying hissing.

Always good to look into an alternate scenario and put a positive spin on things if you can.
For those who want to know, and think I am talking naively. I am a man and I have been happily married for 10 years. In that time, some things we both have done for each other and still do for each other, you will think we used jazz on one another ni.

  33. That Man chop witch.
    He get belle?
Why he go demand that kind of thing at that odd hour?

    ReplyDelete
  34. These things are not new to me. My friend's mum suffered this same fate in the hands of her ex husband(stepfather).
This man will go clubbing, come back by 2am and ask her to start preparing food and it has to be from the scratch. The one that annoys the hell outta me is the fried yam he always ask for at midnight. Now this man prefers his yam like potato chips so they have to start dicing the yam in tiny bits. And he will still beat her after everything.
The woman got fed up and divorced his ass. He brought in another one after she left, and I can only feel pity for her cos the man has a lot of work to do on himself.
For me, moimoi no be beans so he'd have to wait TDB to eat moimoi.

  35. This just reminded me of one Nigerian movie "Mr and Mrs"

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have read comments above and shake my head. It’s a reality for some women. Here are men who have actually made such demands at midnight and beyond. It is wickedness and nothing more. There are some very wicked and selfish African men out there. They twist the story to their families and tell how the wife refused to cook for him but leaves out the fact that it was a demand made at 2am

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm not married yet and one of the reasons is because I am shopping for a husband who is not mad. Only a man husband will wake up, wake his wife up to prepare such a meal. No one says you shouldn't eat by that time but you can do so quietly without disturbing anybody. I for one can't by that time.

    ReplyDelete
