President Buhari Names Ojukwu’s Son As NHRC Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate to request the confirmation of the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ojukwu as executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read the letter to senators at the plenary on Tuesday.

The letter partly read, “In accordance with provisions of Section 8 of the National Human Rights Commission Act 2010, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu for confirmation as the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission by the Senate.

From punch

  1. Anthony is not Ikemba's son

  2. Cool.

Your comment will be visible after approval

  3. His reward for decamping to APC......Bunch of thieves.

    1. You are wiser than this. Talking about two brothers here, don't let hate and misinformation blind your judgement

    2. Don go tell your president that his yahoo yahoo format won't work. Even if he declare Nnamdi Kanu as vice president or running mate, nothing for him and his APC come 2019.

  4. Hmmm Side eyes 👀 @ bubu.
If you cross to APC,you'll suddenly become a saint

    1. The guy that crossed is Emeka Ojukwu Jnr.

  5. He is trying to appease the SE for 2019 but the thing is even if he likes he should stop been an Hausa man and come for baptism to be an igbo man he would still not win.

The hatred igbo's have for Buhari can only be understood when you go to an only igbo market or environment to speak about the man.

They will almost Lynch you for even mentioning his name.

The discord between igbo's and Hausa's got deeper during Buhari's govt and I doubt if dashing out political posts can cleanse it.

He will need more than money to bribe to win 2019

  6. @LEP. Like I have said before the Point is the Igbos just love to hate. Period! You don't need to offend them for them to hate you.
The first two times Buhari contested for the presidency he chose Igbo running mates (Okadigbo and Eme-Ezeoke) was that the action of a man that hates igbos? Did igbos seize the opportunity? Igbo hatred got deeper as you said because the man now tried the Yorubas and they supported him!
Igbos did not support him before (in 2015) so their support in 2019 is not needed. All they need to know is that no SINGLE group can win the presidency without the support of other groups and if they hope to win it one day, they must form alliances with others.
