Ojukwu’s Children Fight Bianca And Uncles Over Property Sharing

Children of Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, the millionaire father of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and Ikemba Nnewi’s children were in an Awka High Court, yesterday, over the controversy surrounding the sharing of their late father’s property.

Mr. Ikemefuna Ojukwu and his brother, Mr. Chukwuma Ojukwu, two children of the late Ikemba Nnewi, had instituted the suit in 2014, against their uncles, Dr Joseph Ojukwu, Dr Ike Ojukwu and Mr. Lotanna Ojukwu and their mother, Ambassador. Bianca Ojukwu

The plaintiffs, among other reliefs, were asking the court to declare that they be entitled to 25 per cent of the property in the compound of their father at No. 73, Owerri road, Nnewi and a declaration that they were entitled to 25 per cent shares of their father’s company, Ojukwu Transport Company. They also sought an order of the court compelling the defendants to account to them the management of late Sir Louis Ojukwu’s property over the years and further asked the court to grant an order that the will of Sir Louis Ojukwu to be resealed.

When the matter came up on Monday, Mr. Chuka Osianatogu, counsel to the plaintiffs, pointed out what they described as a mix up in the appearance to the court. The court also observed that the earlier order of hearing notice on the third defendant, Ambassador. Bianca Ojukwu was not properly served, just as the fourth defendant, the Probate Registrar of Awka High Court, was not served at all.

The presiding Judge, Justice Dennis Mmaduechesi adjourned the case to May 7, 2018 for pre-trial conference to enable parties put their houses in order.

  1. Since they're the man's (Louis) legitimate? children, they're entitled to his property. Except they were disinherited or the will says otherwise.
Hope the court settles them amicably.

  4. See what polygamy can cause. I am sure there is a WILL. They should fish it out and settle the matter before juju and village people enter inside.

    1. She should have "hexperetit" na. When you're marrying a man that already has kids what did you think?

    2. Dumbo, they don’t need to fish out the will. They already know where it is. It’s not lost that is why it is being contested and a request made to the court for an order for it to be reseated. Always commenting blindly on every post.

  5. I wonder why Igbo men make this mistake. What happens to writing a will to avoid all these? It's a shame that somebody like Ojukwu couldn't arrange his home before his death, he didn't die young what stopped him from doing the needful.
Igbo men should wake up, learn from other people's mistake.

  8. Bianca & her husband brothers should allow ojukwu's children from other marriage take part in there grand father inheritance, these properties belongs to Louis ojukwu who's is Bianca's father in-law, why did she want to seize all the properties that belong to her husband & his brothers, while she know that her husband has many children. That property doesn't belong to Bianca's husband alone cos late dim ojukwu has brothers & son's the property belong to all of them

  9. Amastel, is clear you didn't read this story well. First, if it was Bianca who seize all the properties, why are these people suing her and ojukwu's brothers? I don't know which is worse: ignorance or illiteracy. Pick the one you are suffering from.

  10. Bianca claim that that ojukwu willed all his share from his father's property to her alone, besides ojukwu was in charge of his father's assets when he is alive, that's why they sue her & their uncles cos she connive with them to booth them out their grandfather's properties which late Dim Emeka ojukwu was in charge of before his timely demise,Bianca want to be in charge of the assets but her husband's older sons refuse cos is not her husband's direct property but inherited property from sir Louis who is Bianca's father in-law, Bianca has another law suit with her husband brother's too but she opition to settle out of court I guess they now want to join forces to fight her step sons, case of enemy of my enemy becomes a close pal \ friend, I think you are the ignorant one her & probably the illetrate,
