DeleteTo my own case I was raped by a friend/colleague while serving. I had always known this guy liked me, but I had no interest. He never really came out to say it, but he knew I wont agree because we were not same level and I was dating my boyfriend, now husband. But everyone at work had interest because I was pretty. Even the bosses liked me and I always told them I was engaged just to avoid them.
It was several weeks to this guys wedding and he told me he needed help on a Saturday for wedding plans, help with arranging and wrapping presents for the brides family, as a friend I said no problem, I will help.
We usually work Saturdays, so I left my car at work since I didn't know his area, with the promise he will drop me back when done.
As soon as I got in, this guy bolted the door. And I knew something was amiss. He's eyes turned red and he looked like a monster. He just threw me against the bed, I was struggling,screaming, fighting and kicking him off and he tore my dress and covered my mouth. It looked like he was going to strangle me so I had to calm down. No one knew where I was or saw me living with him.
The way I saw him, he was ready to kill me, so I had to use psychology and stay calm. After wards he started saying he loves me, that I should please agree to be his girlfriend. I said yes to everything he said. Did I enjoy it, I said yes. Am I now his girlfriend I said yes. Thankfully he used a condom. Till he dropped me back at my car I was compliant.
When I got home, I called him and blasted him. Told him I am reporting him at work and telling his family, because I knew them.
Since that experience I never visit any man at home again, no matter what.
This guy was getting married in two weeks. His parents came to beg my parents. His mother even knelt down for me. Knelt for my parents and started rolling on the floor weeping.
I told him if I am to keep police out, he will leave that job and resign, because the trauma of seeing him daily will affect me.
So he resigned, I honestly wish I had the courage to persecute that animal.
I saw him at a wedding two years after, and he was still looking at me with lust. The animal, I pity his wife. I could not even tell my boyfriend because he would explode and harm the guy/put him in jail. Thank God he was out of the country doing masters, that period. I didn't want the stigma because I planned on staying on in my job. And I didn't want people looking at me like. See the girl that was raped.
Rape is no joke.

We became good friends and one day he asked me to visit him.I went to hotel and met some of his friends including my friends brother at the lounge. The guy asked me to follow him to his room as he has some thing to show me.Naive me I went with him.Immediately this guy locked the door pulled his shorts. I was still trying to figure what was going on the guy pushed me to the bed and said I should make love to him. I cried and begged this dude but he overpowered me and tore my top. He said I should either do it willingly or he calls 3 of his friends to come and force me. Mehn I had to agree at the mention of 3 hefty men and he had sex with me forcefully. Thank God he used Condom. The idiot called a cab to take me home but I just carried my clothe and ran out of his room.Rape is not something to be joked about. I was about 17 years old when this happened

DeleteCastle, while I agree the NPF can do better, I would say they do a good job when they see that complainants are serious. NPF arrests people for rĂ¥pe as we read in the papers. Nigerian courts also hear rape cases and jail people found guilty. Are you saying of all the prisoners in the system there's not, at least, one in jail for rape?

Most of the rape accusations against Harvey Weinstein have been converted to sexual harassment by their lawyers. Perhaps, she was asked to give sex for a career boost, that's very different and far from rape.
