EFCC Detains Ex-GovYero, Ex-minister, And Others

The Former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ramalan Yero, has been detained at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) zonal office in Kaduna, preparatory to his arraignment by the anti graft agency in court today (Thursday).

The former governor is in the custody of the EFCC alongside the former Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoplrs Democratic Party, Abubakar Gaya Haruna, the former Secretary to the state government, Hamza Ishaq and former minister, Nuhu Wya.

Though no official reason was given for their detention, an official of the commission who craved anonymity said they were being held preparatory to their arraignment in court. Yero is under investigation for the role he played in the disbursement of the N750 million PDP campaign fund before the 2015 general election.

The former governor was interrogated last week and made to sign some documents as part of the procedure for being under investigation but were allowed to go home after that. They were held back yesterday due to the case coming up at the court today (Thursday).

  4. We enjoyed peace during the last election.Throughout the administration, nobody was harassed in fact, it was the President that was viciously harassed. Now the largesse this present govt enjoyed being an opposition, they can't reciprocate? I hope Apostle Suleiman prophecy won't come to pass eventually.

    1. Ann 03:28 you done seem to get the point here. Very soon we will have no PDP or any other opposition. Any democracy with out opposition will surly fail. The opposition keeps the ruling party in check.its better to let them free than to arrest only the opposition, if you arrest only PDP members they will all move to APC and Nigeria will now turn in to APC family affair. campaign funds is the issue and if so all PDP members most go to jail. As the word goes CAMPAIGN FUND its means money for election and all members most be involve as everybody has to win his or her state and LGA. So now who funded APC election, cos the last time I checked Buhari took loan to by form, did he also take loan to fund his election?
