MEN WITH NEATNESS.......
Last week I got a call from mom to attend my nephew parents/teachers association meeting at the school since she won't be able to make it.
I went as a representative and as the meeting progresses, I noticed two men who had just came in and sat closer to me either of them had this stench that spoiled my breath. It was so annoying and terrible that I felt like throwing up.
Could it be the excessive sweat he had, or his cloth wasn't washed? What if he is among the group of persons that only wash their face and off they go in the morning for business only to bath at night if they return from business? It was so terrible for me all through but I had to endured it all.
Cleanliness often time is say to be next to godliness. It baffles me when I see people stink badly as a result of not taking adequate care of their body. I noticed most women even at the age of 60 and above still scent good not to talk of those below as a result of constant care about their body but men at such age or even from 40's have started developing this ugly and unusual smell.
Was there ever a time was it said a man shouldn't apply a roll on or body spray? Most men believe those perfume, deodorant and good looking stuff are feminine and not for them. Some don't even bath with soap let alone applying cream on their body.
It will interest you to also know that most men wore their garment close to a week if not up to before washing them. Some the collar of their clothes has been designed with line of dirts, not to talk of the white turned brown singlets. And worse of it all is that some don't even brush their mouth rather they will just rinse with water using their hands before going out.
As a wife, how do you cope with such a husband? Do you help him to get rid of those foul smell when you notice it? Or you just let him be. Was it the way he was when you met him and married him? Or the fact he has fathered up to five or six children he shouldn't look or scent good anymore? Does it bother you or you don't care? How do you even walk out to an occasions? I guess separately.
Most men don't even take notice of all these as they are always busy chasing money for the welfare of the family. As a wife it is a duty and responsibility to take care of your husband neatness in a situation you found out he can't help himself on it.
Make him see reasons to be neat and scent good always. If he doesn't scent good and look neat, you are at danger to be infected in the eventuality of him picking up an infection. Also it is you the wife people will mock and look on at his dirtiness. "A mad man doesn't feel ashamed, rather his people are."

ReplyDeleteWhen him and his elder siblings do their nyama-nyama on the floor after eating, he will go to the kitchen without being told, carry broom and start sweeping.
Same with his immediate elder brother.
They like doing chores at home even more than the girls.
Imagine when my third child(first son) was 2+ to 3 years old, he would pound pepper in the mortar till it grinds so smooth. I will ask him to stop that it would enter his eyes, he wouldn't even hear of that.
I just hope and pray they grow up like this and not change to be like their dad when big boys begin enter their heads.
Their dad is a no go area when it comes to any form of help.

Hahaha @Steff that is why I suggested women should help out. I saw a young girl of 11years scenting so good with nice person and on inquiry I discovered the money was responsible for that and her brought her up in such way. Do you know most mothers don't give the male kids such treatment. I may want to believe that the younger brother to that girl may be the opposite. So you see how women need to help out. That young girl will grow up with that mentality of neatness and fragrance unlike the boy who wasn't shown such treatment. Just few men are neat and responsible.

And even while I was working I ALWAYS take my bath three a day. i hate to sweat it makes me frustrated,so once I sweat I hit the bath tub. so yes I can take my baths more than 10 times in a day. I have had my bath seven times today alone and its not even 3pm yet. So shift comot for road bciz not every loves dirt.

So my new year resolution this year was to be selfish and spoil myself. I have been investing all my money on good clothes and shoes for myself but the guilt I am feeling is outta this world.

there was a day I boarded a bus from Benin to Lagos. The guy that was sitting beside me, immediately he entered and sat down the air changed to fart. the kind of rotten fart odour that was oozing out from this guy body is better imagined than to experience it. OMG!!! I don't even know the word to use to qualify that stinking odour oozing out from his body. he is a very young guy that will be in his mid or late 20s.
I said to myself "Chike nwanna you can't survive this to Ore not to talk of Lagos"
I alighted and went to the lady selling the ticket and begged her to change my ticket. she told me that I will follow the next bus. I thanked her very much because even if she said I should wait for the last bus, I will gladly wait .
