  15. All of you watching your weight, abeg tip me on how to gain weight. I was very fat when I was a teen and a bit into my 20s, and I always thought I will just blow after having children. But that's not the case as I hardly even got fat during my three pregnancies. Now I desperately need a little more meat to my bones. I eat (moderately though, as I can't get myself to overfeed) fatty foods, but nothing happens.

    On fire:
Saké sauteed Indomie and Fresh fish.

    Ingredients:
Fresh fish properly washed and sliced into pieces.
Sweet potatoes diced into tiny bits.
2 spoons of Saké (a Japanese sugary wine syrup)
3 packs of Indomie Hungry Man size
Peppers (yellow, red, green, lemon). Lemon is the Cotonou unripe pepper.
Salt and 2 cubes of seasoning to taste
    Mint leaf (nchuanwu in Igbo).
One bulb of red onions and garlic.

    Procedure:
Sauté onions and a little garlic till brownish, add water to season fresh fish in Saké,salt, seasoning and half of all peppers to be used until the little water dries up. Not burnt please.
In another pot, cook diced potatoes for 5mins, turn and simmer Indomie Noodles packs into it for 2mins and take off burner.

Then pour the fish content over Indomie, add the sliced mint leaves and the remaining chopped peppers. Stir well and cover for a minute. They will soak each other.

Keep normal glass of water by the side. You will need it while enjoying the dish. Kikiki.

    Happy weekend people.

*please if you don't have Sakè, use Mirin or sprinkle sugar small.

    1. Dear XP,

I thought scent leaf is the same as nchanwu in igbo and not mint leaf?

I am asking 'cos just yesterday, someone called mint leaf scent leaf now, today, you're calling mint leaf nchanwu that I know as scent leaf.

Already checked google and it wasn't helpful at all. Do clear me please.

      Thanks.

    2. Anony 15:19...my dear 2 of them are different in very slim ways.

MINT LEAF is used to keep your breadth fresh after consuming a recipe like fresh fish dish with strong lasting aroma or if i soup prepared with native ogili and ede (cocoyam). It is green and small but with tiny seeds attached to the stalk. The leaves are not crunchy and flies can perch on them.
You don't cook it, you simmer after food is done.
      The colour is light green.
Igbo name is actually óbúbú but the market women call it nchuanwu and we join them though i know the differnce.Hahaha.
      English name is Mentha.
Yoruba and Hausa call it Na-naaa.

SCENT LEAF is used as a cleanser to flush toxins in the body, reduce high blood pressure and reduce bloating in the stomach especially for pregnant women, diabetic and hypertensive patients. It is very efferverscent, crispy and dusty. Flies and mosquitoes don't perch on it and it has no tiny seeds at the stalk.
The colour is dark green. You have to cook it with other food ingredients after washing may times over because of sticking sand particles.
Igbo name is nchuanwu. It drives mosquitoes honestly.
      English name is Basil Clove.
      Yorubas call it Effirin.

Hope I'm clear enough. I have them in the garden anyway.
