I once visited the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade and came to the conclusion that this man is greatly under rated.

I strongly opine that kids are taught more about Tesla's works just about the same way we were taught of Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Galalileo, etc.

Another interestingly under rated genius is Leonardo Da Vinci, how people mostly focus on only his art and forget his inventions amazes me.

I like this post Stella. Thank you.

Greatly under rated probably because of his Eastern Europe ancestry and his rivalry with Thomas Edison a full blooded American.

    3. @Vice and Virtue, you can say that again.

I really got to know the tenacity these early scientists and inventors put into their work through the TV series Genius.

Genius Season 01 was all about the Physicist German Jew Albert Einstein.

Seriously, these guys put in alot of hard work, dedication and commitment to see their theories and inventions come to life.

You make a valid point but Edison was mostly revered more than Tesla because his inventions had better market demands at the time like the light bulb as opposed to Tesla's that were often considered disruptive.

Tesla was such a futuristic man, I have so much respect for his legacy...communications are what they are today because of Tesla's creative systems.

The AC/DC feud between these greats was an interesting one.

  6. The ancient Egyptian had history. I give it to them.

The first ever writing system can be traced to them - the hieroglyphs (the Egyptian style of writing).

The first time I watch the Titanic, I CRIED! The loss of human lives as depicted in the movie really moved me.

Merilyn Monroe was a BIG movie star back then.

These number of soldiers just for one man? Shudders!

I can bet that camera was heavy. These days, cameras come in different shapes and sizes, and can easily fit into one's pocket.

Marilyn was so big an act it got her baseball star husband jealous. He was supposed to go with her to Korea to entertain the US troops who were there after the Korean Armistice but he declined because he felt she was gonna get all the attention.

    2. Hieroglyphics and Cuneiform (Sumerian) works though discovered around the same time, Sumar’s system of writing far out dates the Egyptians.
