  8. I already have a laid down sharing of my salary whenever I am paid so I don’t always think of spending. I just share the money into Rent savings, fueling, tithe , Feeding and Personal Savings. Each amount is allocated and I don’t spend more than normal. That way I don’t get caught sleeping on a bicycle: by the grace of God oh. This has worked for me over the years and it’s still working for me. No be sey the money plenty oh but na self control. Lol.

  10. Spending...saving is done only when one has been able to meet his/her financial obligations for the month but as most Nigerians don't even earn enough to feed, it's spending and then saving if change remain 😉

  12. After spending on the most important financial obligations, investing is the next target I think about. If I don't have enough for the investment I'm targeting at that point in time, I save for it.

    2. @anony
      1) Real Estate (there are estates that allow instalmental payments)
      2) Govt. Bonds
      3) Treasury Bills (banks can act as a secondary market for those with small capital)
      4) Mutual Funds (managed by a fund manager)
These are the ones I can remember right now.

  13. Last year, I use to be all about spending.
But this year, it has been about saving. And it's becoming a bad thing. A bad thing in the sense that I have a WANT (not NEED ) and I struggle with everything inside of me to get that WANT. I don't like this new me this year

  22. Send out my siblings' upkeep money, then I save.
My work place provides feeding and accommodation, so most times I spend on just clothes, wiigs and fruits.
The money no plenty but I haven't been unable to pay the relevant bills in my home in a long while.

To be an Ada and a first child ain't beans. Dunno why my dad had to die when he did.

Still grateful for his provisions tho

  23. Saving. I am always scared of going broke.right from when I was single I have always been the money lender in my house. The best way to save is to involve your self in a contribution. I hate financial embarrassment.

  26. The majority of the answer explains why & how nigerians r very mad people. They tithe #1 and then spend #2.
Then when they r sick, broke or in emergency situations they go & start begging, scamming, stealing & humiliating themselves.
    Ndi ara!!!
Every time they r begging for crowd fund to pay for burials & funeral. Why don't their churches carry over the cost of these burials & funerals for nigerian people???
Thunder hell fire all of una & your wasteful money habits. People who happily depend upon begging or stealing & scamming for survivals.
While their churches r making billions in revenue. The majority of population & people in the country r broke & very foolish.
