The film-maker further stated that a beautiful and career-inclined woman should not be a top priority when selecting a future partner.
Reacting to allegations from non-fans who claimed that a recent post by him on Instagram suggested that cooking should be left to women, Bamiloye said, “I do help my wife in the kitchen. It is the will of God that every woman must be able to care for her husband but that does not mean men should not help their wives in the kitchen.”
He described his wife, Gloria Bamiloye, who is also an actress as an excellent cook capable of cooking the different delicacies he craved for.
He strongly noted that a lot of women out there were not prepared for marriage but were praying for husbands.
“Most women these days are focusing more on material things, which is also one of the things contributing to marriage break-ups. Some women are 28 but are not ripe for marriage because, even at that age, they are still dependent on people for many personal things. Such women, if they get married, end up calling their mothers at home for cooking recipes and asking people to wash for them........

DeleteThere is nothing wrong in asking your mum or even your friends for cooking tips. When it comes to cooking, nobody knows it all.
Are you saying men should look for an excellent cook and forget about her principles and spirituality? That’s a strange one coming from a pastor!!
I agree with him
Delete@Anon 18:26
DeleteYou were apparently in too much of a hurry to find fault with what he said that you totally skipped the part where he said to look for a woman who fears God.
Lol akuko!
DeleteEven chefs refer to cook books and recipes online so why can’t a wife ask her mother. So people to wash for someone is now a problem in 2018, people don’t have laundry men or take their clothes to dry cleaners??! This mentality is unique
Packaged beauty or natural beauty no one is attracted first by your inner soul. It’s what they see.
ladies, continue to wear your beauty whichever way with pride.
Finally just as women are focusing on material things, so are men, women have only just started to learn better what men have been doing since time immemorial.
Dear pastor, face your ministry!
Men please miss us women with your advice and face your gold digging, sexually perverse, commitment fearing, undercover gay brothers. This post up here by a so called pastor is both shallow and misogynistic. Reducing women to mere objects of a men's considerations. As if clothes, make up and cooking are the basis of measuring a woman's worth. This is why westerners even with their higher divorce rates will always live better lives than we do.
DeleteI agree with you sir
ReplyDeleteTrue.

ReplyDeleteExactly
ReplyDeleteSee strategic marketers everywhere ooo
DeleteTomorrow now; even today, all of you will be chanting "I cannot marry a man that is earning 200k bla bla bla" which I have read in a lot of posts on this same blog. Whereas the federal government beginning salary for a graduate is less than that. You see why a lot of you will
probably tee for house.
Nigerians are the most insincere bunch on earth!
Hope Stella no go chop this comment.
I concur well said
ReplyDeleteAmawbia ugbo ogiriga
The Bible says money is deceitful, beauty is vain but the woman that fears the lord, she shall be praised.
ReplyDeleteMarriage's of these days are in the mess they are because the people involved never truly prepared for it,people are so impatient to develop godly qualities that will sustain them in the long run, they think its all about love, how can someone who hasn't learned temperance be in a relationship?
When they go on dates, you see them talking about films and other frivolous things but never truly discussing the things that are important.
Young men of these are not encouraging the decent ladies they prefer instead to go for painted statues, they are so easily moved by what the see, in the long run, they now begin to wonder what they really saw in that person that made them married.Guys of today needs the spirit of discernment.
In all, everyone aspiring to get married should look for a mate who has the fear of God because that's all you will ever need.
God help us all.
Evangelist you are right.
ReplyDeleteRide on sir!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll these girls going; "ride on, truth, well said . . ." are you girls serious?
ReplyDeleteIs that what you all type as comments in chronicles. If you scroll down the posts
some of you only yesterday was telling that pregnant girl to relocate and have her child
in America and marry a man she "cannot stand touching her" and dump him later.
Just come clean all of you and tell us that all these rantings na marketing strategies!
Truth dey pain eh!
Exactly. Na marketing strategies o.
DeleteThe man is talking about a lot of girls here. Even at 38, they are not ready for marriage but want to marry.
ReplyDeleteMy twin sister stopped coming to SDK because of comments like yours. We are 40 this year . I have a wife but she isn't married coz of AS problem which makes choice harder for a woman than me wey be man. You are so wickeeeeeeed here. The gwegwegwe tag you fling around will send many of you to hell. Repent !!!
Delete@Anonymous 19:21
DeleteThat comment there was not meant for people with AS. . . and definitely not for your sister. It was addressing folks with DEFICIENT CHARACTERS which was what Brother Bamiloye was talking about. So please find somewhere else to vent your anger. I wish your sister well and God's favor in finding a life partner. I am AS too.
Let me help us to understand this couple's antecedents:
ReplyDeleteGloria married mike when he lived in one room with only
a mattress on the floor and a table fan and without any job.
Her family insisted that she will never marry such a man
but she went ahead.
Do you understand the "materialism" he is talking about?
How many girls will marry a man like that? Hope you understand
why a lot of us women are singe even at forty?
Stella just vomited this comment.
DeleteMmmmmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhh
This Evangelist is talking about me. Am not ready to wear ring yet, but this boifrnd wnt understand. I need to work on my temperament before I say yes. Some men like to make mistakes.
ReplyDeleteAnd if the guy says "abroa... going with my spouse", your temperament will become a finished product immediately!
DeleteI don't agree with what you said. It worked for you and your wife, Good for you both. Both men and women should enter the kitchen, nobody is helping anybody. Unless ofcourse one of you decides to be house husband/house wife. God didn't ordain anything, where you there when he was?
ReplyDeleteI don't like commenting but some comments i have been seeing these days about marriage and women is disgusting.
Thank you o!
DeleteWell said oooo...

ReplyDeleteThere are no perfect guidelines that make a relationship work. Relationships have their peculiarities, what might work for A might not work for B. *Mon propre opinion sur ce sujet.
ReplyDeleteGbam!!
DeleteAlways about the woman. Tiring
ReplyDeleteThe woman is special!
DeleteWhen God wanted to come as man, did he send angel Gabriel to dialogue with a man?
The woman makes the decision to marry or not, have sex or not, baby in womb living or not
"new born baby is suffocated" or not?
Haven't you noticed that almost every chronicle is sent is by women?
God has given us women tremendous power but it must come with responsibility!
I am so loving this comment...
DeleteHmmm anon, pele tie. Brainwashed mentality. Believe whatever you want. Me, I don’t believe I was sent here to suffer or log around baggages for the opposite sex. I also implore parents to please raise and train real men instead of just training the girls and raising overgrown babies as men who don’t take ownership or responsibility for anything but puts it all on the woman, including uncountable rules and regulations and expectations for women while the men just do whatever they want.
DeleteY'all make marriage look boring nowadays, stop giving us guidelines, nobody gave you during your time. If you like you marry sister chef Chioma who is highly spiritual, if it ain't gonna work, it won't work. Always talking about women..as if we are the problem of Nigeria๐ ๐ ๐
ReplyDeleteI agree that some are not ready for marriage but want to marry but I disagree with other things. Calling others to wash for you is not bad even though I personally wash my own clothes but when a woman works, has children etc calling someone to wash is not a bad thing in fact a single lady who doesn't do laundry but works to pay others to do it for her, I see nothing wrong with that. Asking ones mother for recipes can't be bad. God help us all.
ReplyDeleteRubbish talk....every marriage advice for women as if we are the only cause of problems in marriage...married with 2 kids so argue with your keyboard...how many men can love the wife like Christ loves the church?
ReplyDeleteLet men keep looking for butt and boobs. Divorce would keep increasing
ReplyDeleteAre men handicapped? Is a wife just an updated form of a mother, except that you get to also have sex with her? This man has not touched on anything spiritual or the emotional bonding that a husband and wife needs to have. He is only concern is with cooking, hairstyles and makeup. So a woman's spiritual quotient, character, ambitions and zest for life does not count for anything. No high achieving ambitious man would ever be able to tolerate the woman this pastor is describing for any length of time, such a woman is for a low grade underachiever.
