The way you Africans behave now was the same way the British behaved when they came to our lands. They told us nudity was a sin and forced our forefathers to wear clothing. ReplyDeleteHow are you going to bash gender equality and then turn around and complain about women suffering in Africa?
Instead of her to use her position to fight the ills against women in Africa, she sits in judgement of those who do and then when she begins to feel the strain, she complains. Why is she complaining when she's part of the problem?
The day I lost all respect for her was when she was asked about sexual abuse against women in the industry and she said 'it's something that happens so we have to deal with it.'
As the most powerful female in the industry, has she ever helped any of her fellow women in the industry?
I mean, as a woman with so much influence and a female role model, she has all the tools to speak up about it and help young, upcoming women in the industry. Instead, she chooses to go with the norm because it benefits her, rather than be an advocate.
As a woman who lay on her back and was passed around on her way to the top (TuBaba @ The Sheraton, Don Jazzy, Amaju Pinnick, Femi Otedola, Cecil Hammond), she is the LAST person with any moral high ground to talk about discrimination against women when SHE has benefitted from it.
She can spare me the bullshit!

No one is looking for a feminist. Also, no one is asking her to be perfect or to do more than is expected of her.
What we're saying is that she should not make mockery of gender equality and then turn around to complain that 'it's a sin to be a woman in Africa.' She's complaining about the oppression of women when she has openly endorsed patriarchy; a system notable for oppressing women. That makes her a HYPOCRITE.
She benefitted from the 'casting couch' system, a system that has kept a lot of women down. So she should never be one to complain about discrimination. Again, THAT MAKES HER A HYPOCRITE.
Unfortunately, your head is so far up her ass that you couldn't see the truth even if it smacked you in the face.
