The incident occurred when the insurgents stormed a remote village of Kala near Damboa shooting sporadically as many were hit by gunshots.
They looted and cart away food stuffs before razing down the village, as residents fled into bushes for safety, the sources claimed.
“We are helpless; our village is just 2km away from Damboa town. Boko Haram came, stolen our livestock, cows, goats and bicycles,” he said.
A security source however dismissed the claim, saying troops fired two artillery guns towards the area to disperse the invaders.

ReplyDeleteSomeone who is in the direct line of battle told me that the war in Borno is far worse than it has ever been in years. The army at the moment is feeling serious burns of BK forget all what is being said on the new.
DeleteNo soldier that dies in Borno is being carried home at the moment because they have to keep up with the media propaganda they've been painting, these BK boys are really pushing. Except for the airforce with airstikes, the army has refused to send more troops.
