You can't imagine how dear you have become and how you and your blog saved me from peril.
Sometime ago, I sent a message to you about someone wanting a relationship with me. I was 49. I didn't realize I was walking into a trap. I was duped of all I had and I went into severe debts and had to sell all my belongings. Even that didn't cover the debts. I had been living from hand to mouth since then, as business crumbled for lack of finance, I fell ill, went into severe depression and almost killed myself once.
About a year ago, you played Santa to me with N10k and I cried... I cried because I had been a giver on the blog and I didn't like the reversal.
Here am I today, thanking God for bringing me out of misery. I am alive, I have hope. I am not begging, I am not Ill. I haven't recovered any part of what I lost, but I am not sick anymore. I didn't run mad during my trying time. I didn't die untimely.
I have come to say thank you to you and blog visitors that encouraged me at various times that I dropped anonymous comments of depression.

At the moment I am doing all my hands find to do so I can get back to form financially.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
BVs please I urgently need your advice, We are just two tenants in our compound, we used to be 3 but one left so we spoke to the landlady cos our own room is 2bedroom flat while the lady that packed out lived in a 3bedroom flat. We moved into the 3bedroom but due to lack of key,we just closed the entrance of our former room( instead of locking it).
So yesterday while coming back in the evening, I heard the sound of the bathroom water tap rushing, so I told my husband to accompany me go lock the tap. Immediately I entered I saw a gun inside the bathroom. I called Hubby's attention to it and he said it must be our neighbor cos it's only him and us that are in the compound,and he parades him self as a soldier.
Hubby said we can not report to police or landlady cos they may not believe us and that may put us into trouble. My plan is to buy key today and lock the place while we wait for the owner of the gun;s response. BVs what do you guys suggest??

Dear Stella,
I hardly comment on blogs or anything but there are some issues that just need to be discussed that leave a lasting impression in one’s life.
I encountered this incident in 2016.I was coming from Ota which was my usual route once a month as I live around Agric/Volvos area of Lagos. This is for those that know there so they can understand this story better.
A brief description of where this incident occurred. IYANOBA is a busy metro area to the south is the Iba road which I was coming from with LASU on the left hand side, on the west Badargy express way the side going to mile 2, the east Badagry express way to Badagry on the north streets leading to Alaba international. The part I was on has bus and keke parks so no random Lagos picking up of passenger.
On my way home towards 4pm I saw a crowd gathered my Lagos instinct was to keep moving till I sighted a man shaking uncontrollably under the bus and everyone saying Eyaaa!!. This man was shaking I assumed he was under the bus fixing the car with half of his body under the car when he got the attack, he had foam coming out from his mouth he was shaking so hard he tried to get up then hit his head on the bottom part of the bus. I thought he was dead honestly.
I had no idea what his sickness was I asked people for help as he was a fully built Nigerian man and I am a petite woman they said they don’t touch people with the sickness that the foam is poisonous or acidic. And the spectator included his fellow park member, market women and men, Agbero that also collect roger and shadow for him and of course by standers like me all I heard was Eya!!!!. I could not bring myself to leave I just don’t know why. To add to me and the victim’s agony the traffic on the road cleared then one “Christian looking brother and his wife” drove on the man’s leg, then he jerked again and hit his head on the bottom part of the bus. They quickly rushed out to see if they had killed somebody.
Stella that moment it was like I went to hell and came back, I just moved on my way home with tears in my eyes. On getting home I described the incident to my mom who is now late God bless her soul and asked her what I could have done she said she did not know but people do not usually touch them or help. Yesterday I relived that memory again when a student in one of our top university had a seizure and was carried on a wheelbarrow. So I asked my cousin who is a well-trained nurse what to do in such circumstance and she explained to me just as in the attached picture. I asked if it was a death sentence as Nigerian also do not like to marry people with such she said no that it is actually common.
Stella,please help me post this picture I do not want another person to relieve my nightmare because I do not know if poverty and hardship is driving Nigerian away from being humans or it’s the level of ignorance and awareness or just lack of facilities. Imagine what that doctor told that girl with severe scoliosis in your post when he could have advised her to get something to wear under her cloth like a shape wear (backpack)looking straightener to help adjust the curves or the doctor that told my mom to go home a live her last days just because of fibroid which was later removed and she lived.
This picture might help someone. This is just one case with misconceptions just like many more e.g. scoliosis, mental health, fibroid, breast cancer, cesarean section, diabetics the list is endless.
Thank you for this..I have also seen someone with epilepsy before in Nigeria,it was horrible to watch the foamy mouth and no one helping....

Many of you want the drama and hatred to continue but truth be told, no one dictate my life for me.
If my reconciliation to Eka put me to be childish and not man enough then I love it such way. This isn't just a blog but a community. So many things can be achieve here materially, spiritually, financially, empowerment, entertainment, fun, education and so on.

God does not live in time, so you can put Him in time or under pressure. He does things in His own time, which is always perfect timing according to His plans for us; not what is happening in other people's lives or obtainable.
He is never late. He is forever faithful.
Why not trust Him again. Lay it down at His feet and walk away.
He will come through at His own time & trust me, it won't be late.

ReplyDeleteGod has been good to me.last night my 11 month old baby in the middle of the night had serious fever almost to convulsion. 1am at night I didn't mind I just walked on the road to my church member's house who is nurse. He gave her some injections and i had to wait for the fever to come down before wen home only to now discover that i wore two slippers. Funny enough im looking at her now playing and disturbing everywhere.
