President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Diaspora Commission.

Dabiri-Erewa is the President’s Senior Special Adviser on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.

  1. Multiplication of portfolio, what does the ministry of external affairs do differently? More leakages from the system obviously.

    1. We no longer use the description “ministry of external affairs.” By the time you realize that, I will gladly explain more about your assumed leakages.

  4. What the hell do they need a National Diaspora Commission for?? What is the existing Ministry of External Affairs for? What are the Embassies for? Ordinary passports application process they cannot simplify for us yet they go on milking the country dry by creating unnecessary portfolios. Clueless government!!

    1. thank you...proliferation of duties and unnecessary bureaucracy is what you will get in most of these agencies created to appease party officials. if the cost of governance can be reduced by cutting off some of these over bloated positions then govt will have enough to increase minimum wage and provide more social amenities instead of the 30k labour is even begging with blood for...so irritating

  6. Nigeria has thirty six ministries already and is not working.
Some countries far greater than Nigeria has less than a third of that; e.g USA
    What is the problem.
