I salute and I hail at the same time.

I hope say you cruise well last night!

A financially comfortable BV ....A guy wants to do a giveaway and he has asked me if to give bags of rice or cash is better.....Note that it cannot be both...He suggested Rice to also help those selling here sell but Its stressful because it restricts giving...if the seller is in Kano and the receiver is Lagos its a problem...it would restrict the receivers to only Kano...

I have told him that cash is better..........

Shout out already to those with multiple IDs waiting to nominate themselves for giveaways...lol...I am presently attending school of how not to fall mugu...LOL.

Have a great day and see you in the other posts!

Kisses!

  1. The amount spent on food in some of these "posh" restaurants will just leave you thinking 😭... Approx. 15k per head??? And we were 1,2,..... Nah, gotta open my food outlet abeg 😂.

See me talking, what bout those that spend like 200k clubbing 🙆... not talking bout the popaholics that spend a million above oh. Those ones don't deserve pity oh 😭... How can you drink a house and a car and feel alright 😂😂😂 just tell me 😂 Lol... some of them are here sef and reading this (let me shout out to one that I know 😂).

Come let me gist you how someone paid dinner for two in Central London for £700+. The annoying part was I still ordered food when I got to the hotel cos I was damn hungry! They say na michelin-star wetin?
I ate my rent in one sitting 🤣🤣 till now I still imagine what I will do with that money when I'm broke.

As I complain give my friend, she say she went to one of them upscale clubs with someone and he paid £2000 for table. That she wanted to faint. That's someones yearly salary in Nigeria!! She runs a charity for her home state where she pays children's fees and was angry cos that money would have gone far.

    9. My dear what these restaurants charge, if you think about it too much... Hmm , not to mention when the food isn't nice at all.

I took my colleagues somewhere to celebrate two of us who were leaving the company (I was saddled with the responsibility of planning the event), so I chose this place because of the posh ambience. You needed to taste this food, or the steak - pure rubbish. Most people left the food untouched.
I regretted not hosting the event in my house. At least, I can cook better than that rubbish.
Imagine my shock when I was told the same place do the catering for ECOWAS? Reminds me of the akpu cake presented to Prince Charles...
If only those with real talents have the connection/money to set up these businesses.

    10. Club guy, I know someone that use to own a club in Lagos and was gisting bout how people spend money in clubs and he was like if I think money is spent in Abuja clubs, i should visit one of these Lagos big clubs. That on a good weekend, you can make the money used to rent the club (talking bout the profit oh)... I raise hand for una for that Lagos! 🙌🙌🙌

Chiki mama, what's the nationality of those guys? I can guess Nigerians cos those Britons can be stingy sometimes ehn just a few that don't calculate. The one that trips me pass are Arabs. Those guys spend money like it's going out of style. They are the definition of I can't kill myself. They don't mind paying anything for assignment that they can just copy 😂.
Their spending leaves me in thoughts mehn. I mean serious thought. My sister had one for a friend and........ the worst part, in all of this, their government does EVERYTHING for them so their own is to ball until they drop 😭. This life is a pot of beans I swear.

I'm totally with you if thinking of money spent when I'm broke. If you see some kind of investment I could use the monies for Ehn. But what do you do when you have friends that can only take you to eaattttt but won't invest 😭. Na to dey follow dey chop na 😂.

    11. Queen Jay, you echoed my thought. Nothing extra ordinary oh. Just packaging that's all. To think I actually cater for events oh so I always have this unconscious comparison. Na money yab person 😂. Let me just have that money first una go chi chomchin for this Abuja. I will grab all their costumers with my nice and affordable meals 😆.
That reminds me of my visit to one of this you people (Lagos people); your restaurants in VI.
Nice ambience, won't take it from them. By the waterside. Amazing view. Ordinary sharwama and peppered gizzard I ordered, these guys gave me tortillas. Like they don't know tg e difference between sharwamas and tortilla wraps 🙄. And it was written as sharwama. The taste, maybe 6/10 but for the price, was expecting 8 or 9 😂. But wasn t disappointed, the middle/low priced restaurants have the best meals but as na package we like na, we go hear am for pocket 😂😂😂

    13. Nigerian of course!!! If you see the way these Nigerian boys in London spend money, you will have fever overnight. Not the razz ones fighty-fighty ones in our London Chronicles 🤣🤣 that £2k na minus champagne- cos the table was strictly champagne service. She sha managed to take selfies with some football stars to console herself. It came to like £4k eventually.

Have you forgotten that day in Abuja when I ordered Quessadilla and they brought me tasteless grilled chicken in mayo wrapped with lebanese bread? That place we met in Wuse2 🤣🤣 how much was it again? Like 5k. My babe in Lagos makes bad ass Quessadillas for 2k with everything inside and avocado butter on side with dipping sauces. Namsense!!! We shall overcome mediocrity... @QueenJay pele!

  9. I told my mum I would like to take her to the cinema cos I won't be around for her birthday , she said no that we might spend too much ( who's cutting onions). She said she just wants ice cream- which I said OK.
When we got to the mall, I discovered it's just #800 so I told her to pick other things. After all said and done, the cashier calculated our bill , mum shouted OTIPOJU (it's too much) and then, JEKA YO SILE NIBE (let's reduce it) lol. I told her not to worry and paid. My people, mum spent like 5 mins there in front of the line praying for me (I was sure by this time people behind us were getting impatient) , then she went ahead to tell them "my daughter won't be around for my birthday, so she brought me here to shop for me" All of them started shouting Omo daada, Oshey omo mummy.... I was just blushing

  12. Me I sing because God has blessed me as is still blessing me.

The reward of being a cheerful giver can never be overemphasised. I was talking to my school pastor yesterday and she made me realise that God answers my prayers and keeps blessing me because others are praying for me.

I was telling her some people wonder why God answers me despite the fact that I'm not a strong Christian (I go to church once in a while and I'm a very 'non-prayerful' person).

She made me understand that asides grace, things probably work out for me because there are so many people out there praying for me that despite the fact that I don't really pray, things still look good enough for me.

She says this is because I have the spirit of giving and compassion (no jokes here, I give a lot. No matter how little. If I can't afford to bug food for someone at work, I share my food into two and give her the other part). She explained that once u give, u are giving to the person's 'eleda' and his or her eleda will bless u. The person u gave to will continually pray for u.

Why am I sharing this??? I'm only saying it's more blessed to give than to receive. No matter how little, give to someone in need around you. It is not until you've given 10k, 20k that God would reward you. There's someone you will give N100 that would seem like 1000 naira to that person at the moment.

Even if it's one derica of rice from ur half bag of rice that u give to that cleaner in ur workplace that is struggling to feed her family or small 'ororo' from your King's vegetable oil gallon, it's all giving.

I am a living testimony of how God blesses you when u give. So many testimonies to this effect but let me not go into that

I don't do inspirational quotes or preaching here but as I opened this post, something moved me to type this and so here we are!

I was led to give an old man 1k in a keke napep. He looked frail and had only half his tfare.
I was going to buy baby food. I decided to buy a smaller quantity as I've used part of the money. As I crossed the road to the supermarket, some people notified me a lady was calling me from the other side. It was my former boss's sister. Big chick!
Long story short, she gave me 4k for baby after we exchanged pleasantry.
I even bought extra food and diaper!

God bless all givers and those who genuinely want to give but don't have.

  34. Good morning dear BV Family! I have suffered o... please advise me ooo...

I gave someone a postdated cheque against an inflow I was expecting. The inflow came in on the date expected but the person tendered the cheque the day before! The bank cashier received it, stamped it the day before the cheque date and wrote DAR on it. Now the person is threatening me with police and allegations of dud cheque. The money is sitting there in my account as evidence. I was arrested with handcuffs in broad daylight in my house!! The cheque value is less that 20k and I feel like suing the bank. I paid the man cash immediately but had to "bail myself" with another 5000. I feel like making money off this bank!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sue wetin the cashier did the right thing by stamping the cheque, did the bank charge you 5k cos there was not cash in your account, if no then you have no right to sue the bank. Did the man not see the date on the cheque? If the police arrested cos of what the cashier wrote then you, the police and the man knows nothing.

I will advise you meet the person and explain things, is wrong to arrest you over a post dated cheque since it was presented before the date.

      Delete
    2. The banker should’ve noted that it presented before the date and that negligence on her part caused you unmerited embarrassment and you can claim damages.

Nigerians are always afraid to sue, that’s the problem. At least, get a lawyer to call them and have them write a public letter of apology. Any meeting to ‘explain your side’ and you are instantly ruining your case.
