Delete1. Adesua did her traditional marriage in Lagos.
Delete2. Wherever they choose to marry is not your business.
Wish them well and mind your dann business
Odiegwu........
DeleteNo be only 'no true igbo'
gosh didnt know such backward mentality still exists...please crawl back under the cave you have been living in since 1800s. arant nonsense
DeleteYes only TRUE IGBO . Linda is an OSU an Auchi son of a Muslim woman is her only option.
DeleteShe will hear it don't mind all these liars praising him, guy is always depressed
Baby Oku thank God the OSU thing is about to be abolished

ReplyDeleteI love the way ppl are coding their relationships until the proposal and actual marriage.
No point flaunting a man that isn't ready to marry you.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to them. God bless their home.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures... HML
ReplyDeleteBeautiful couple. See as them fine anyhow 😍.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Edo State Linda.
I wish them a beautiful marriage. I hope they have more money invested. Honestly, the industry doesn't pay so much yet the celebrity lifestyle doesn't come cheap. So two "young actors" who don't earn so much like others and not in the financial and network leaugue of Omotola, Mercy Johnson, Rita D etc. who have been around for long should be very mindful of their money issues. Spendwisely, invest more, find other income streams. Because, Unlike 2 non celebrity marriages where, though they don't earn much, they are not expected to be on red carpets every week, fancy asoebi every weekend and other lifestyle choices with all eyes on you.
ReplyDeleteThe money pressure starts affecting the relationship.
Money is the number one reason the celebrity marriages don't work.
It looks like a small wedding. They just focused on their outfits. Remember too that these people get freebies.
DeleteDesigners fight to put them in their designs to drive traffic back to them.
Over all, it seems like a normal wedding... Atleast transportation expense was saved😁
it is people like you that start the pressure! wish them well and move on!!
DeleteWhat are you even saying. When this is a small wedding. Both of them are even very simple people.
DeleteI don't see any extravagance anywhere.
I totally get your point, and it’s scary, well, that’s why contentment is good, if you are a content person nothing can get to you
DeleteCongratulations but I don't wanna hear stories after 6months.
ReplyDelete*in psquare's voice*..... Una love nor go scatter , e go
ReplyDeletetake over the world now,......." Congrats Linda and handsome hubby.
My friend did hers where we live. Her Dad was dead anyway. Momsie lived here. So they had their trad and it was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhen its not convenient, traditions and rules can be broken. They are not cast on stone.
Which would we rather have? A road/air mishap during the trips or this?
Sometimes because there is no longer a connection with extended family back home, they do it where they reside.
They are just beautiful and goofy. Love them!
🙌✌2 fingers in the air for this lie. She is hiding something by avoiding settling of elders at home. Igbo people don't marry outside village
DeleteLol @ anon 10.27. It is not everyone that digs into the whole marrying in the village thing. My sister did her trad in the city and she wasn't hiding anything for real.
DeleteAs for me, I don't think I can escape having my trad in the village because my parents are insisting on it since my sis did hers in the city and it is just the two of us.
My point is, time have changed!
Lol@ two fingers in the air.
DeleteI can’t even be mad at you😂😂😂😂
We live in the UK but travelled all the way down to Anambra state for our traditional wedding. That’s out culture. We should try to conserve our culture please.
DeleteMost people who stay back in Lagos for their traditional don’t have good houses in the village and don’t want friends to see #fact
It was choice to travel down. Leave people to their choices.
DeleteLies. I know people who did in Lagos yet have massive houses in the village. Again, choices.
DeleteYour opinion is not a fact. In fact your opinion is a lie.
DeleteAnd the settlement of elders is also not true. Most times, these people would give all the things in the family list to the elders back home and sometimes even send a bus to bring them to the venue.
DeleteMy friend sent her ‘family list things home and did the traditional in Lagos. Times are changing.
Anons 17.31 u lie there's no one that will have good house in villa & do his or her trad in Lagos, she is my mama sat I be igbo girl we don't take or see them as REAL igbo .God forbid I can't do my trad in Lagos or any township
DeleteIm here to famz a little 😊. We were schoolmates with Ibrahim back in Zaria. Very cool, decent and God fearing guy. I'm happy for them. May their home be blessed with every good gift!
ReplyDeleteAwwa...I loved them in TINSEL, I wish them the very best. Cute kids alert.

Congratulations to them.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that doesn't like doing trad outside the bride's hometown?
Were the Umunna and Umuada settled? Where they invited? Or plobably they were settled via cash cos I know in my village, it's either u invite the umuada and give them the rice, drinks and other smalL stuff or u give them 30k.
Simply put ...It's non of your business. The poor and the rich have various ways of doing things. Religion and tradition is 90percent for poor people
DeleteLol... Anon, so Linda and Ibrahim are rich???? Lmao!!! I love Linda but please they are just average strugglers
DeleteDid the Umunna and Umuada join her parents to make her,or did dey push with her mom,abi dey trained her in school and gave her a good life, abi will dey contribute for the wedding that it's compulsory to Settle some people that don't even know she exists
Delete11:46, ur comment on religion and tradition sounds really ignorant.
DeleteActually, most times, the family back home is definitely settled. It’s not a big deal anymore especially if you’ve not had such a strong hold back home. Why bother when you can just send them their list stuff
DeleteCongratulations to them They look good together, God bless this Union.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. Beautiful dresses.
ReplyDeleteEhen this a wedding picture, see feelings and emotion. The business partnership of last week was so blah!
ReplyDelete11:31 I'm telling you o, there was no chemistry n that last week wedding at all. They were both coin like they forced them on each other. I thought I was the only one that saw it.
DeleteA man died few months back. His daughter had her traditional marriage in the city. The uncles in the village felt slighted that they were not included. Vowed to deal with him. Man went to hospital for a simple procedure and one complication after the other. They are from Akwa Ibom.
ReplyDeleteAnd your point is?????
DeleteThis one get point, baseless story
DeleteThe kind of things people say make me to wonder what they learnt in school so because the marriage wasn't in the village it made the man to have complications? Na wao
DeleteHaving the marriage in the city doesn’t mean she didn’t send their things to them. There’s usually a list and you give the things on that list...
DeleteThe man didn’t show wisdom but just because he died, doesn’t mean it’s the kinsmen that killed him cos he didn’t come home to celebrate daughters marriage.. so you know if they went to a specialist for the surgery? Or had good post surgical care? Was diabetic? Or had kidney failure? Surgical complications don’t mean spiritual attacking!
Pls!
Lovely dress. Happy married life
ReplyDeleteCongrats Ihuoma my sis.
ReplyDeleteBut would have loved to see how your village looks like.
It's ok.
I guess the village people were settled with their demands according to tradition.
If you like to see how her village looks like why not go dere abi your leg break
Delete@ anon 15:22: town-crier!! Take it easy.!
DeleteThank goodness she did not end up with that crazy Shawn faqua guy. Happy married life.
ReplyDeleteHaaaa wetin Shawn Faqua do oh? Shuu
DeleteWhen I saw plenty comments under this post I was wondering what the gist was. Now I can see that a lot of Nigerians are truly ignorant backward villagers.
ReplyDeleteA marriage is between two people. If they like then it becomes two families. Others are simply extra. If they wanted to have their traditional wedding on the moon that’s their business. If you want to hold yours in a hole dug in the Centre of your village to show you’re a true daughter of the soil that’s your prerogative.
Let everyone love their lives without daft know-it-alls saying trash. I’m sure those fools are the ones that support caste systems and torturing widows. Disgusting!
