Buhari Releases 5 ‘Indisputable Facts’ About PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku

President Muhammadu Buhari has released what he described as indisputable facts about the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Buhari, in a statement he entitled ‘When the thief is shouting thief: the case of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’ and signed by the Director of Strategic Communication of the Buhari Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo, was responding to the allegation of corruption against him by the former Vice President.

A few days ago, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, called out President Muhammadu Buhari over certain “corrupt practices” which the President allegedly condones in his government.

In the statement obtained by DAILY POST, the President said that “after three days of publicly announcing that they have hard proof that the President’s relations bought shares in Etisalat and Keystone Bank, the PDP has not produced a single piece of paper, a document of any sort to buttress the grave allegations it made.

Whilst we have repeatedly addressed each and every of the instances cited by him to show the transparent nature of the government, it is shocking that the Presidential candidate of the main opposition has refused to issue a personal statement up till this minute clarifying in details his record of crass corruption and abuse of office.

He is clearly taking Nigerians for a ride and hopes to distort the ethical revolution in public office that Nigerians clearly desire to his own philosophy of abusing public office to promote private interests.

By his subliminal messages, he wants Nigerians to accept that becoming wealthy by abusing public office is not a bad thing after all.

With the avalanche of fake and unsubstantiated news released in the last few days, it is now clear that PDP’s strategy in the run up to the elections is to spread fake news and make wild allegations without any proof against the President and the Vice President.

This is clearly to divert attention from the record of crass corruption and abuse of office of their own candidate. Nigerians cannot and should not be insulted by the PDP after 16 years of looting of the nation, by now putting forward a man whose record of corruption they very much acknowledge, but would rather we all overlook it.

  1. What is the essence of the heading when you are not going to copy the five facts mentioned by Keyamo? The post itself is incomplete and irrelevant. Perhaps you should highlight the five facts here for the news to make sense. If not, change the heading.

  2. Festus Keyamo is doing what he's paid for. Imagine getting all this in Buhari's Govt, he would even trade his life to ensure apc comes back to power even when it's clear they are incompetent. This govt has failed every one in Nigeria especially when he that leads is unintelligent and Practical Pls can we all do away and run far from partisan Politics but concentrate more on who has truly led fearlessly and who has results to show to the country , the Corruption Mantra isn't working for us anymore especially when they have bought over all the shares in big communication companies banks and other multinationals May God save us from this curse. Obasanjo is a very intelligent and sharp man,so do we all think he's Stupid

  3. Sometimes I have asked this question but without a good response from the people it was thrown to. When this administration keep shouting that PDP misruled Nigeria for sixteen years and looted the treasury, I asked them who are those PDP politicians all along these years? Wasn't Godwills Akpabio among the sixteen years? Today he is been covered. What of Amaechi? Didn't he spent up to fourteen years in the sixteen years rule? What of El rufal? Have we forgotten he was the minister of FCT under PDP rule. What of Obanikoro that got exonerated for his crime? Wasn't he PDP all along?

The APC are indirectly indicting themselves as well for accommodating this people without charges. If they feel Atiku is corrupt, why not prosecute him now. Are they afraid to do that. They should re-visit the case file if there is any and stop all this media war. They said Atiku is corrupt and has a case to answer in US, yet they are the same people shouting that the America embassy shouldn't give him Visa. What do APC really want?

    2. Calm down.the truth is that akpabio is a smart man.they knee they did not offer much to nigeria..so he joined apc to become part of a team that would make a better nigeria.everyone deserves a second chance.yes..those people in apc today were all in pdp..atleast they have conscience and wants to correct their wrongs not pdp that have failed to learn.producing a notorious corrupt person as flagbearer..atiku cant sell.pdp flag bearer dead on arrival.dont be stupid.after all he did and what obj said about him.i am even ashmaed of obi teaming up with such personality.jees.atiku of all people.you all shout dont re enforce failure, yet you bring up atiku.i laugh.up till now you guys cant pin anything on buhari.m noy saying buhari is the best oh but pls lets tell ourselves truth i understand u are a pdp supporter,u have every right to support but dont say bad about the others when u supporting bad as well.

    3. Let me briefly explain to teejay what 16 years of PDP’s inefficiency did to us. From 1999, when you were still in secondary up until you finished your polytechnic education and served, PDP gave little interest to education. It is for this obvious reason that you didn’t enjoy sound education. And the proof is glaring to all of us. Your sense of grammar and language construction. If not, why would someone of your educational background use ‘this’ to describe ‘media’? I could go on and on to buttress my argument. But let me leave it for today.

    4. Anonymous you still didn't answer my question either. This is a bitter truth that people don't want to hear. APC have become worse in the last four years than the sixteen years they accused PDP of. Atiku isn't a saint but at least we should be sincere with realities on ground.

    5. Teejay..i differ in that line of thought.just like humans.if you are addicted to smoking for 16 yrs..if you wana make a change..it looks like you are in a worse state for the first fee weeks or months.pdp damaged this country...pdp abused us financially ...spiritually and physically..if people are use to a kind of pattern,it is not that easy to make an effective change at once.apc took power from pdp with differnt parties coming together..along the line, such members started manifesting their greedy traits.greed for power,in order to still maintain such pattern..every government has its own challenges and trust me..with the cards n challenges thrown at this government,ha..they tried jhareeee.if apc continues in government, they will do far better than pdp.hard truth and thats the fear of most pdp leaders.

    6. It is fair to compare a 16 yr rule to a 4 yr rule.
If pdp did well in elections matter,no need for electoral bill that they are using to play politics.if pdp did well with security,no need for bombing and increased in insecurity.
If pdp did well in providing sustainabke jobs..no need for people complaining...
If pdp managed our resources well,no need for recession.
If pdp planned well,no need for re organising the system.
If pdp did well..no need for the change mantra and if apc did fail,no need going back to pdp...we try new party.if atiku wants to get nigeria working, let him start from his home state.so other states can copy from him on how well nigeria can work.

    7. I am not a card carrying member of any political parties in Nigeria, so my comment shouldn't be link to be political. I was one among the people that believe APC government would have done better but felt disappointed along the line. All this government succeeded in doing was apportioning blames to her predecessors and forgot to improved the economy left in their care.

APC are accusing the oppositions of corruption and I want to ask this sincere question and desire a honest answer. What has happened to David Babarchi Lawal of the grass cutter scam? Wasn't he and still a member of APC? What of the Mainasgate? Or have we all forgotten how he was reinstated amidst corruption charges and today the cases hasn't be call up.

What of information minister that didn't attend NYSC scheme and was bold to say it. Why wasn't he relieve of his ministerial position. What of Kemi indicted for forgery? She was allowed to go scotfree but the Adeleke of a politician is being dragged for exam malpractice.

What of the Ikoyi billions? Don't Nigeria need to know what happened to the Mr Joke who was the NIA officer then and the owners of the apartment?

What of the billions that was found at the airport? Has anyone be link or prosecuted for it?

The snakes that swallowed the money in Jamb office this year, how was it handle?

What about the invasion of the NASS which led to the ousting of former DSS boss? Has any reason be given for the security actions?

The Aide to the first lady that was caught in fraud, what happened to him?

Former NNPC boss Mr Yakubu, what later happened to his case?

I can go on and on but for the moment let me stop here and read an honest answer to my questions.

    8. What Teejay is saying is it is the same set of people. These ppl he listed were in PDP before moving to join PDP. They are all one and the same thing so they have no right to point fingers.

    9. Teejay, I would have answered all these questions here but it seems obvious to me that you get things mixed up and confused so it doesn’t make you understand your arguments. Let me give you an example. You mention the Information minister which is Lai Mohammed. No one has charged him for not serving the country through NYSC. No one. This is your illusion only. No where did Lai make any such claim. I could go further to break down other questions but it is of no use. You will come up with another irrelevant argument.

    10. 10:41 so sorry, communication minister Mr Shittu. Your refusal to answer shows guilty bro. If you aren't then answer please. I want to know, and please don't run away so others can learn as well.

Thanks @BED AND ROSES, they didn't seem to understand my initial comment.

    11. I am a realist teejay.
Truth is..every individual enjoys some kinda grace from others.m sure u have friends around you that does or act in a way yhat is against your principle but you give them soft landing.its normal.everywhere..wisdom is profitable to direct..he did his best by letting him go.it is left for effc to take on that.i think buhari is giving frre hands to institution to be indepedent.honestly..baba is even cool for my liking self..and the way u all attack buhari as if buhari himself makes up a government.

    12. Teejay, if you put up correct info, you will be given the right answers. But your hastiness to criticize always put you in a state of defending the indefensible. Only time wasters will spend time correcting you. 2019 is here. Make two resolutions: work so much on your poor grammar and English construction because a graduate of your level shouldn’t be writing the way you are writing. The second is, learn and have full information of anything before you comment. To be a critic isn’t knowledge but what you critique, how you do it and the information you use in critiquing is what makes knowledge. At this level, you don’t have any of these tools so please work on them.

  5. APC should spare us this gibberish talk of PDP 16years misrule. These same PDP politicians who corruptly ruled Nigeria for 16 years are the same sets of people heading their campaign train.

  6. Please where are the 5 "indisputable facts"?
Fetus is doing what he is being paid for and most of the people who made apc were all in pdp and contributed to the misrule the country faced.

  8. Is that the best reply,so if I steal money now join a party my sins are forgiven, chai I weep for this country, my dear I don't believe in this theory of stealing, forgiven because in are in Christ, I believe in restitution and paying for whatever crimes you have committed. This kind of mentality will sink this country further

  10. Let me ask you a question;
How on earth did you expect APC to clean up 16 years of damage PDP did in JUST FOUR YEARS?
    How?
I'm sorry, but were you not BIG FOOLS to believe that APC would be able to effect change in a mere four years?!
I said this thing on Instagram in 2015 and people cussed the daylight out of me! That APC was a makeshift party and that you can't expect them to clear in 4 years what PDP did in 16 years. I have the screenshots to prove it! I wish I could tag all those people and laugh at them because I told them so!
Naija people, you see your life?
That's how you will vote Atiku in and the problems will still worsen.
Fasten your seatbelts! Atiku isn't going to change anything.
    Nigeria is doomed.

  11. Members of PDP of 16 years of so called inefficiency are now all in APC, name them..... Maybe that is the reason APC is a colossal failure! Let us not forget that we are able to communicate freely on such platform as this was a result of the said failed government, in as much as I believe PDP could have done more for Nigeria, my question still remains, What one thing can this government who rode to victory on the mantra of change claim to have achieved so far? Just one? And the answer is none, constant blame of past government!!! Enough already of validating failure and incompetence.
