Her body was later recovered on Sunday at Courtesy beach within Juja sub-county with visible head injuries. She had a deep wound in the head which police said was inflicted by a blunt object and bruises on the hands.
Arwasa said the two suspects Joseph Kori Karue (the decease’s husband) and Judy Wambui Mungai are believed to be behind the murder.
This is after blood-stained clothes were recovered from Wambui’s rented house at Four Ways estate along Kiambu road.
The police said the blood-stained clothes collected from Wambui’s house will be taken for DNA analysis.
Both suspects were not represented by a lawyer. The two will be held at Juja police station in Kenya until February 13.
Juja subcounty police boss Simon Thirikwa said the deceased appeared to have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the site.
The deceased, a mother of two, lived with her husband at their Garden Estate home in Nairobi. Kiio said police are tracking her missing car, a Mercedes C 200 saloon and her phone.

They may have no concrete proof yet but the having a motive occasioned by the affair as well as the blood stained clothes makes them persons of interest.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this. My mom was also killed with poison by her second husband and his girlfriend. We find out she had been poisoned from the autopsy. They killed her because everything was hers—the house, the businesses and cars. He would have received nothing if he had divorced so he and the girlfriend killed her. He died ten years later on my birthday. Happy Birthday to me.

ReplyDeleteStella, when a married person is found dead/murdered, the other living spouse is always the first suspect until proving otherwise through DNA analysis and other evidence/investigation not linking them to the crime. They however, won't be arrested but brought in for questioning (first 24 hours is always crucial in homicides) and on different occasions (it depends though). The detective or investigator looks out for body language and how they talk/respond to the event as they could know or be withholding information.
ReplyDeleteAlso, majority of murder cases in which one of the married spouse is found dead, are always linked back to the other living spouse. (Either hire for murder, premeditated, or using the individual they are dating outside their marriage (side partner lol)). Same process is also done if they were just dating too..
There're a lot of sick and psychotic people married around the world. You will be shocked at the unthinkable that happens and stories told.
