  1. Hey Blog Family, It's the first Sunday of the year. My tailor disappointed me, she couldn't deliver. The thing pain me ehn, I cant deny but I'm even amazed at how swiftly I moved on to another outfit. It shows I'm growing. Afterall Church is not a fashion show and I wont collect an award for best dressed.

I'm so going to dance and dance today ehn even

  2. Because you are a woman, people will force their thinking on you, their boundaries on you. They will tell you how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and where you can go. Don't live in the shadows of people's judgement. Make your own choices in the light of your own wisdom. Amitabh Bachchan
    Happy Sunday!

    1. People do not force their opinion on you because you are woman, people force their opinion and choice on others because they are humans.

Very soon, people will not be able to make a decision for themselves, because y'all now think within a box. Y'all have been programmed.

  3. If I insult some of u now, they will say Eka has carried this her bitterness into 2019 so even though you deserve it, I won't insult you.

Yesterday, lilian abi kini tin pe o said those of us criticising lion heart were doing so out of hate and I want to shush u right there. The only reason I watched that movie is actually out of immense love for Genevieve.

Tried so hard to see it at the cinemas but my friends would rather change plans to club or do some other things and I finally never got to see it. Immediately it came out on Netflix, I carried my hard earned 3k to renew my Netflix subscription just because I wanted to see lion heart. You think that was out of 'hate'. Pls, respect yourself.

That being said, the movie started at a really basic pace. The beginning up to the middle was pretty basic, nothing so spectacular but I need to add that it pretty much picked up after a while. Not to a so much exciting state but to an average state.

I was pleasantly surprised that Peter didn't do a really pure job as I was expecting and neither did phyno. Even Peter's igbo accent wasn't so noticeable.

I loved how they naturally and effortlessly infused the love story. It was actually brilliant in my own opinion.

In all, it wasn't a bad movie but not just what I was expecting. I expected more. But I'm still glad Netflix bought it. Hope this would expose our actors and actresses Internationally

Good morning guys and happy Sunday

    1. Love your analysis ,sometimes some people feel we all should reason the same way ,what excites u ,may not excite me,the movie might be woah to some people and just there to others

    2. I expect this review from many people! Genevieve is a household name, alot of people were ready to see her work, but most were disappointed.

I went to check reviews from some pages and these pages are not from Nigerians, they're other Africans that live outside Africa. And they all have the same thing to say about the movie (basic, same o same o).

Why can't we criticise our own, so that she will do a better job next time. Why do we have to tag every criticism hate?

Genevieve is loved but, she needs to improve.

      Delete
    3. Art cannot be loved by all.

Do you love all types of music?
      No.
Does it mean that all music that you don't like is bad?
If you don't like Yanni,or Sia does it mean their music is bad?
      No.

The movie was apparently not made to fit into the average Nigeria stereotype, or appeal to the average Nigerian IQ.

So as expected, it will not be well liked because average minds make up 95 percent of the population. So taking comfort in being the voice of the majority on any issue is always laughable.

You can watch your daddy chief abi whatever it's called. Wedding party, banana island ghost etc for all that regular tripe.

Does the movie make any sense?
      I don't know.
      I haven't watched it.
      But I certainly will.
Because once there is no hype around a movie, and it doesn't come with the regular Nigerians falling over themselves to spout absolute bunkum, it means there is something there.
Something that Nigerians cannot that detect.

For that reason alone, I will watch it.

      Delete
    4. What is the average Nigerian (African) IQ Y'all always blab about?
Same people that preach against stereotype are same people that think or feel that they are above other Nigerians (Africans) that doesn't think like them or have same beliefs with them.
You don't rise by putting others down.

King of boys is the best movie that has come out of Nigeria in recent years.
Kemi Adebita still remain the top director for me.

      Delete
    5. I hated banana island ghost and wedding party......got bored N couldn’t wait to leave the cinema hall.

      Delete
    6. I did not like Chief Daddy. Never seen banana Island, probably never will

      Delete
    7. Ms A I don't have time for your blabbing.
Learn to face front and blab where it may be welcome or appreciated.
Or better yet, get something to occupy your self mentally, instead of spreading your self like a fucking contagious skin rash all over people's OPINIONS.

      Delete
    8. @Mrs A
Pls name the other African pages that criticized Lionheart

You think Netflix didn't do enough buying the movie? Which investor do not want a return????
Spread love n not hate plssssss its 2019 πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

      Delete
    9. @lilly,why should I start naming private pages that I follow to get some good information on some subjects.

Even the Americans y'all want to be like or imitate so much, you can't take an inch of their criticism. They are the real critics, forget all the political correctness shits.

Nobody is spreading hate here... A bitter truth is better than a sweet lie.

Everyone I know (including myself) loves Genevieve.

Netflix buying a movie doesn't make the movie the best... It is called knowing the right people/having the right contacts and good marketing.
Just like Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for Oscar back to back because she had something to do with the top man himself (now disgraced) it doesn't make Jennifer a good actress still.

    10. Ms. A please Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress. Thank You.

Use Google and educate your self and hopefully improve your IQ. Not to siddon like wall gecko everyday dey chat jack shit about things you CLEARLY know NOTHING about.

Shakara: you dey mind am? Imagine of all people to mention Jennifer Lawrence. Somebody obviously hasn't watched Winter's Bones or Hunger Games etc. Or maybe they were using sub average IQ to watch it.

  5. OK. Time to rant! I remember when I was serving, there was this dude asking me out then. He works @ zenith bank and was always helping me out with bank ish then cos I don't like staying in d queue. So we later became friends. Then oga started asking me out telling me he likes me, he wants to have a future with me, bla bla bla. This man should be in his 40s if I'm not mistaken. I asked about his marital status and he said he was single and searching. I found it hard to believe cos he was too close to perfect. I searched for his name on fb from the biz card he gave me. I saw his profile and his pics alone. No family pics. But I was still not convinced. I had this feeling that he is married. Anyway I avoided him. Told him I can't date him and he should look for someone else. My friends were even begging me to give him a chance cos he is a cool guy. I said NO! Moreover he is too old for me. That was how i avoided him till i left that town. Just few days ago I was checking updates on fb and saw this same man's pic on "people you may know" this time around with his middle name and a different surname. I clicked on it, checked his timeline and pics. Lo and behold, Oga is married with two kids. He has been married for 5years. He has two fb acc. The main one, he used his full names and a diff sure name with his pics and family pics while the second one was just his name and surname with his pics alone. Na wah o. And guess what??? Oga has just been ordained a pastor in RCCG! How do dey even do it? Pastor ke??? Issokay! OK. End of rant. Moral of the story- don't jump In to a relationship just cos the person is too close to perfect. Try hard to study the person first. Snoop very well if possible

Most women don't even get who they are married to
      Until the man's dead and

It's at his funeral they discover who they had sacrificed their lives for as other women come with kids to say their final goodbye to their father/husband

      That's the point I don't understand.
Why will I go into marriage and 'sacrifice my life'. Is marriage a slave contract?
Everything I want to achieve in marriage, I will achieve it.
I did not come to earth to hold marriage on my head while being empty and 'unevolving'.

To become in tune with your own life and receive personal inspiration, you must learn to tune out the opposite. Worrying about negative wants, needs, and thoughts will muddle your own thoughts of purpose and confuse you. Instead, make a commitment to your-self and your personal goals.

    1. Its temporarily blocked because your email password was recently changed and then another device tried logging in..

The authentication is usually A verification of phone no or password and the option would come up on your page few days from now(it could even be today)..

All these are measures by gmail and yahoomail to avoid scam or unverified access to your email,so you have to keep checking your page frequently with "SAME" device you do use to log in so as to do the email authentication..

      Hope this helps..

  29. Good morning BVs and Stella. Bvs in Abuja is it true that a single room face-me-i-face-you costs #4000? And to Ibadan bvs is it true that a room that costs #2500 is a mud or batcher house?
Thinking of moving to Ibadan soonest but somebody just came and spoilt my mood with this analysis.
And again how is life like in ile-ife?
Wanted to move to Lagos but when I thought of rent there and the mad rush my spirit just died. I want somewhere I can start a business and make it that's not so costly.
    Please do not ignore.
Thank you all for your inputs.

  33. Someone commented about wanting to have an 'girly' male friend as a bestie.... Well, I have one πŸ˜‰ He is fantastic friend. The thing is.... He is gay and confessed to me very recently. I couldnt bring myself to hate him, I just burst out laughing. He doesnt live in Nigeria and I was in his country of residence, staying in his apartment when he opened up to me about his sexuality. He asked me to sit down and was like: okay. So theres something I need to tell you and I told myself I wont let you leave on this trip without me telling you (very like what a girl would do 🀣🀣).

I just enjoyed my vacation and didnt ask any further questions. And he told his boyfriend that his cousin is around so he can't come until I leave. We arent related but we are that close as families and all. He pays for everything when we go out, he is so caring like would call me 5million times to make sure I'm not lost. We even go cosmetic shopping together. He loves skincare!! And his nails are always well manicured 🀣🀣 His shoes are weird. He likes a certain type of shoes and he says his kind of partners can spot you when you put them on.

The real gist is that he is an only son of a one-time billionaire and cant tell his parents. That is where this matter is going enter skelewu. Oga is in his 30s and they are waiting for him to come and pick a wife at home. I can't deal!! 🀣🀣 his younger sis who is my actual bestie in the family is very married so he is under pressure.

As for that ur friemd @chiki, i just feel for him aswear.

  34. Can't remember the last time I went to church. Oh wait I can, was in church last week Sunday for Thanksgiving service for a successful burial. My dad is resting now, we thank God everything went smoothly. We didn't beg or borrow, we even had an overflow. Had to return over fifty cartons of drinks. Amazing! Despite all the ridiculous demands from greedy village people and the unnecessary drama brought by the officiating minister, we still had a successful burial ceremony.

Thank God my dad didn't take the chieftancy title he was planning on taking, to think that they were planning to make him a chief this December whether he liked it or not. His name was number one on the list. We for see ween, because the burial rites for a chief is not child's play. We thank God for everything.

  35. Then..... I read the gist about Elohor Aisien & Mr. Sho! Hehehehe.... If there is anything I have learnt, it is that one needs to be really private and one needs to just be quiet about a future you cant control.

The intereting part is they share so many friends cos they are in the same entertainment circles. Hmmm!!! Hope friends wont have to takw sides now.

Sho prefers Elohor to Li because
      She's an introvert
      She talks less
She doesn't put out her whole life on social media.

  36. Let me go to church. Fasting starts tommorow. I'd be offline for a bit cos this 2019 is nor a joking year to be letting anything interrupt my fast.

I am going to be launching a few things this year. Tired of letting so many gifts and abilities lay fallow. I will not listen to anyone who says I am trying to do too much at once and I should slow down. I am accelerating with it all. If I faint in the process, i faint y'all!! ✌ But I shall wake up and continue. Hehehehe.
