Lassa Fever Outbreak In Nigeria

Lassa fever epidemic has hit an all time high in Nigeria and Nigerians have been put on alert by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC....

Are you aware of this alert and taking safety measures or you have waved it aside because you have enjoyed rat delicacy before?

    An infected person can transmit Lasa Fever to another person. The disease isn’t only spread via rats and rat droppings/waste.

    It would be great if you include a link to NCDC’s statement, or, if you could list the symptoms and modes of transmission for Lasa Fever so people have a better sense of what to look out for. Also, it would help others get more information— if needed.

    If you are in Nigeria, and you’ve never gotten a vaccine for Yellow Fever, then you should go and get one. I understand that NCDC also put out an advisory last year.

    These diseases are fatal, but completely preventable, let’s prevent them.

  4. I have closed all route the enter my apartment but saw one smuggling itself in between the kitchen window. I have been thinking of what to do.
