President Buhari Says He Cannot Prosecute Former SSG Babachir Lawal For Lack Of Evidence...

President Muhammadu Buhari has given reasons his administration can’t prosecute the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal over allegation of fraud.

Buhari said his administration can’t prosecute Lawal because there is no prove of fraud allegations against the former SGF.

Speaking during an NTA interactive session on Wednesday, Buhari challenged anyone with evidence against Lawal to come forward.

According to Buhari: “I don’t think that anybody that is being booted out is corrupt.
“I told you why I have to be careful. If there are strong allegations, people should come out with strong evidence like names of companies looted, contracts awarded, then, we take them before the court and ICPC and we have to trust the system and allow them to complete their investigation

“If we just arrest them and look the other way as we did in the military system…democracy is a multi-party system that does not approve that. So, if there is strong allegation, the government may ask people to go like the former secretary general.”

*He cannot prosecute him because there is no evidence? Are you kidding me???????

    1. If he rig the election, the tribunal will remove him. Why do you think they want to hurriedly remove the CJN before election? They want to Fulanized the judiciary by putting their own Fulani puppet that will do their bidding and influence judgement by appointing judges on special cases. APC are still learning work where PDP are.

  3. Stella that was the height of it all last night. For three times he was mumbling like a baby still being fed by his mother when asked that question until Osibanjo came to his rescue. I doubt he will be there on Saturday to face Atiku after what happened last night.

Babarchi that was indicted by the Senate with veriable evidence, even Babarchi actions proved his admittance when he said he has no regret being sacked. If there was no evidence, why did the presidency sack him? Let fighting corruption kill all of them there.
