Senate President Sarak Raises Alarm Over Plot To End His Life...

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has raised alarm that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris was after his life.

Saraki, who is the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (PPCO), raised the allegation at a press conference this evening in Abuja.

He called on the international authorities to hold Idris responsible if anything bad happened to him or members of his family.

Saraki also alleged the IGP had tried “several tricks to implicate him in some criminal charges, the first being the arrest of some cultists who were being compelled to claim they worked for him.”

He added: “Later, he went on to the Offa robbery case and politicized the investigation in order to rope me. In the process of forcing suspects to implicate me, the principal suspect died in their custody.

“He has also not succeeded with that plot. Who knows what else he may have planned?” he asked.

Saraki, a former governor of Kwara state, continued, “We need to make it clear to the entire world that now that ward to ward campaigns is about to begin in the state and I am set to participate in that grassroots campaign as I have always done.

“Nobody is sure what instructions Mr. Idris has given to the police command in the state. Thus, the entire world should hold the IGP responsible if anything untoward happens to members of my family and myself.”

    1. When you are about to loose your grip and power, you bring up stories to rationalize it. That is the game here. None of your personal police orderlies has been taken away from you. Not have you reported to the police that anyone is after your life.

  2. If it was easy for them, Saraki would have been given the Dino Melaye treatment. Maybe because he is the Senate President. For if he was just a senator, by now he would been in the same boat with Sen. Dino Melaye. One thing that beat my imagination is how the people that the police used as witnessed against Saraki and Dino Melaye started dying one after the other in detention. This is seriously serious.

    1. Thank you! I was just about to say saraki's hands are not clean. People who were scheduled as witnesses against him are dying mysteriously. I heard of a case of a man that worked close to him, went into hiding for few years only to return to Nigeria and was allegedly killed by Saraki's camp.

    2. You misunderstood my commrent anonymous 08:24.Saraki hands wasn't clean to you and you think he is the one killing the witness? How on earth will that be possible? People under police custody that want to be used against him. I read those people later denounced their initial statement about working for Saraki and was about to open up the whole truth. The next we started hearing was their death one after the other. What does that tells you? Think deeply bro...

    3. Please, educate us more on the 'treatment' Melaye is receiving. Is it not the other way round? Why would he not honour the police' invitation or make himself available for arrest like a gentleman? He has wasted the tax payers' funds in the form of government resources and personnel deployed to arrest him. He held them to ransom at his home for days;went into some health or medical Mumbo-Jumbo/jumbo fiasco ,delaying the necessary process . He should be billed for this chicanery, together with whatever the justice system serves him for the policeman his thugs incapacitated. Such a drama queen!(not king!)

  7. Isn't he supposed to be retired?or till he tidied their last dirty deed.which is using the entire police force to brutalise, intimidate and frustrate the opposition and their voters.Considering the rate this regime shout about their good deeds, integrity, honesty, transparency and how the whole Nigerians love them.It beats imagination that same people with this loud chants of self praises will be so wicked and heartless towards the opposition they called tiny, irrelevant and dishonest.I-must-rule by force government, please leave the opposition alone. What is the IGP still doing there when he's supposed to be retired?Does the integrity and honesty only applies to some and not all.The most useless, horrible, wicked and corrupt bunch of losers.Pack and go,you lot.
