Judge Threatens To Jail Musliu Obanikoro If He Does Not Appear In Court For Former Gov Fayose's Trial

The trial of Mr Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, was on Thursday stalled following the failure of the prosecution witness, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, to appear in court citing poor health conditions.

The EFCC’s counsel had presented to the judge a medical document claiming the Senator is hospitalised.
However Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, who was not satisfied threatened to jail Sen. Obanikoro if he fails to appear in court at the next sitting.

Justice Olatoregun also warned that the doctor that issued the health documents would lose his or her license, if the court verifies and finds out that the claim is false.
According to the judge, Obanikoro would be forced to appear in court in a Black Maria if he fails to appear in court and if it turns out his health claims are forged.

The judge, however, adjourned the case till March 18 with a warning to Senator Obanikoro.
He said “He must present himself before the court on the next adjourned date or be compelled to do so.”

  1. So after all the noise this Fayose guy made when he was the governor, one would think no dirt can be found on him or mentioned close to his name. Noisemaker. FFK's brother.

  3. Obanikoro thinks he will evade justice. Not even APC criminal government can exonerate him of the mess he committed. If Fayose will go down, then Obanikoro will go down with him as well. This APC people are fraudulent in act, how on earth are they also telling us that Mr Oke and his wife (the Ikoyi billion suspects) left the country thereby evading prosecution. Were their passports not supposed to be seized long before now? Oh I forgot they aren't an opposition politicians.
