Saturday In House Gists -The 'Toaster' And The 'Toastee'

This should be an Interesting if you are a go-getter!!!

This question I am about to ask is for Female Blog Visitors....

Have you ever seen someone you liked and toasted them....?Told them you like them and wanted a Relationship or wanted to Marry them?
Were you shy or bold about it?What was his reaction?

Men how do you feel when a confident woman walks up to you and asks you out?

Some people may not like this but i actually see nothing wrong in going for what wants.....I belong to the school of thought which thinks a woman should go for what she wants if she sees it.

What is your school of thought? Are you one of those who think that women who ask me out settle for less or get disrespected? As a man would you Marry a woman that proposes to you?would you date a woman that tells you she likes you?
I am a go getter!!!

  1. It's so awkward i can't try. It's better for me to be tripping for you in my mind and head, that is where the boldness ends.

    2. I'm not exactly sure I've had to directly ask a guy out. But if I happen to meet a cute guy and we eventually cross paths i get to tell him just how cute I think he is or say how I love the smell of his perfume (that gets me always)🤣. Then I look on like I never said anything, what happens after that would be his business.🙄🙄

  4. Yes. I got tired of my button being wain-ed from village. He called me one early morning (around 5:30am) and I started to ask him out. He said yes and proposed. He mobilised his people and my brideprice was paid that same month.

The hints will be so clear you can't miss it but if you decide to pretend you don't get it I respect myself and walk away jejely I don't need another person to tell me we are not on the same page.

    5. If a guy did this (faked a friendship with a woman and one day suddenly grabbed her and stuck his tongue in her mouth), we will call it what it is: sexual assault. Or attempted rape. Nothing "bold and courageous" about some kinds of behaviour.

  14. Ha, I’ve pursued men severally o. I’ll send money, call, encourage, woo them until they fall for me and want to get serious then I’ll either ghost them or become very harsh with them and run away. I was never scared of going after the men I liked. I have been politely or rudely rejected by 3 of them but for the most part I got all I ever fancied. I guess the wooing process was the catch for me and once they like me back the thrill is gone and they’re mystified and become ordinary.
Before anyone jumps into conclusions, I married as a virgin so there was no sex, intimacy or making out involved. Maybe I did it because I was a spoilt privileged kid who thought I could get anything I wanted then.

  15. Crushing seriously on a cute guy in my former office (got a new job this year). Told my closest pal in the office and she stylishly asked uncle if he was in a relationship and his spec. Guy man is single but doesn't like tall girls. I am tall and I love wearing heels too, so I stand no chance. Still crushing though.

    1. U might stand a chance. Tell her to stylishly ask about you in particular. Like so you can't be attracted to....

  16. If you ever ask a Naija man for date or to come marry you na im be say
you don carry ya own hand hand over free tohtoh to am o.
Naija men dey too egocentric (chai, see as I jump all man free style carry grammar nak) to
consider a lady as say she dey responsible to woo them o.

But my Naija girls no dey shame na. Them own wooing style na to collect man number begin send fresh
wet tohtoh to im phone. Na wetin I sabi I dey yarn o. E don happen to my darling for my koro koro eyes.
Na im come show me the thing o. I weak kpata kpata.

  17. I linked up with one guy in enugu from singles and mingles. A relationship blossomed, the guy can nack, this guy last up to an hour in bed with his big cucumber while my husband is a 1 minute man. I refused to tell him I am a married woman.

  18. I never supported this school of thought (but there's nothing wrong with it depending on how you handle it don't go robbing yourself on a guy) recently I have started liking someone genuinely but I don't think going directly is the best instead you can give hints here and there if it works out fine

  19. Sorry o. I hate seeing already tall ladies on heels. My nephew said heels make them (tall ladies) look like palm trees.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. u pple should forgive him pls

  21. I am very confident but asking a guy out isn't my thing.I don't think Nigerian men are that exposed.it will lead to name calling when you have issues with the guy later on.I'll rather admire from a distance

  22. I met my man in a wedding reception last year July and 'toasted' him. actually, my cousin saw him first but she was engaged already and she pointed out this tall chocolate hunk to me and i told her that I was going to ask him out. this was my very first attempt at wooing a guy though I never saw it as a big deal cos I have friends that do it often. last November we got engaged and we are getting hitched this year. did I mention that I'm divorced with a son. lol

    1. Seems you’re in a rush darling, please take your time and be sure that whatever happened in your first marriage won’t be repeated again.
I wish you best of luck.

    2. Prettiest Rosie - In a rush according to you because she's been married before, or cos she got engaged the same year she met the man? I got married the same month I got engaged. Actually within a matter of weeks. No, I wasn't pregnant or desperate. Years later, my husband still adores me and I love him even more today than I did when he proposed (and I was pretty crazy about him, then!) Please, let's stop playing God with the lives of people whose details we don't even know because their story doesn't fit what we think it should be, when we haven't even asked God. There will be people who date for two years, use the next 18months to plan wedding, then divorce after six months of marriage.

    3. thank you @prettiest rose, I'm definitely doing it right this time.

    4. Anon 20:10, I understand your point which is perfectly correct but there are two sides to things in life. We can’t also discard my view because it has also been the dearth of so many marriages. You hear things like 'I rushed into it, I didn’t know he was like this.’
Anyway my advice could have helped her or any other person reading, reevaluate and ask some basic questions.

  23. I have been toasted by ladies before. I usually turn around and serenade them with how I have been crushing on them but with excuses on why I couldn't make the first move. That salvages the situation. And I had always had a good time. It has never been an issue to me. I respect them more.

  24. Few months into meeting my fiancée last year, as usual we went out on a normal stroll and babe simply asked "what do you want, please make your intention known"

Well Intro is two months away.

  25. I did, i am extremely beautiful and I have got brains to match. I am very witty, sly, coy, you know what? all the good qualities you can think of,just go ahead and name it😋.

Guys were always intimidated of asking me out and most felt I was already hitched.
I took the bull by the horn, when I saw this bobo that i liked. I made the first move at the mall. Had to check his finger first to know he was available. Though most keep their rings at home, so was extra careful. Struck up a convo from nowhere about nothing😏.
Well,he seemed flattered and tarried along.Told him I was done shopping and asked for his digits before I sauntered to the countered.
Just as i was about bringing out my wallet, after waiting in the queue for long, guess who offered to pay? yes, you guessed right. We have done our introduction and wedding is in a few months time. He told me he has sighted me at the car park.
Turned out he was interested, but was scared i might turn him down so he minded his business. Lily-livered fine boy😂.

  29. Never have. The closest I come to doing so is when I am tipsy and flirt with a guy and he takes it as a cue. Once it clears, they begin to wonder if I was the same person. I’ve been called ogbanje severally. 😂😂😂
