BBC Throws Shade At Gov Rochas For Erecting Buhari Like Statue

BBC News Igbo shared a picture on Facebook mocking the Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, for erecting a President Muhammadu Buhari-like statue in Owerri, the state capital.

The British medium wondered if the governor was never tired of erecting statues.

The caption written in Igbo language simply translates, “It’s like Okorocha is not tired of erecting statues, who is he erecting for Imo people again?”

  15. This isn't funny at all. it only shows how weak our checks and balances is. state funds shouldn't be spent in such manner. politicians have totally taken us for granted and we Nigerian have accepted it. I think we need to learn from Egypt and Algeria about peaceful unified protest against the government.
