    2. It's very easy to do. When i was dating hubby then as boyfriend. I was already 30 when he proposed to me,but i was not desperate. I asked him where he would be in 5yrs time, his goals and ambitions. We where both working but i was earning more than him. He was staying in a self contained apartment with 2 other guys. My ans to him then was no,that he should focus and get back to me later. When i was 31 he proposed again with his ideas for the next 5yrs and 10yrs. We got married when I was 32. I was not desperate to bear Mrs and suffer later, but instead i helped him focused. Next month would make it 13yrs of our union and he has done all he wrote down and more. Now he has more goals to archive be4 he clocks 50 and am helping him every single way. We talked about everything before we said i do,up to the no of kids. Please note at the time of 1st proposal hubby was earning 25k,by the time we married he was earning 500k a month. We are both happy and i still keep him on his toes. He dose nothing without consulting me.

  6. Please we need a pastor/motivational speaker/psychologist that are going to be mentoring our men. Many of them go into marriage with nothing to offer but expecting the world. They come in expecting Miss perfect, a working woman, mother Theresa, Chef, freak in bed, perfect mother and home maker to their kids and still contribute financially.
What does a good husband bring to the table, what does it mean to be a man, provider, protector and comforter. Many men don't know what it is to be a husband nor father, reason we have so many broken with no empathy for women, it is what can a woman bring into a marriage always.
Pastor Paul I want to hear more of what a good man is.

    1. Well said! Who is a good man?
Many women are carrying the heavy burden of being mother and father! Societal expectations on women are killing many women! The need to keep the home at all means without financial, emotional and psychological support. Husbands are so lame these days with nothing to offer than their emptiness and wandering dicks, bring nothing but shame to their wives and children.
May God help us to raise our boys to be better than their fathers.

  7. Pastor, what we need are scriptures. You always heard Christ say "it is written". Even the devil respects scriptures. That is the guiding lamp for the word of the Lord is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths. Psalms 119:105
To speak without the Word of God is to multiply words without knowledge: Job 35:16.
Once the word of God is taken of speech, every wind of doctrine comes in. Teach your flock the word and they will live holy lives and make good choices.

    1. @ Anon 10.56 in other words it didn't make sense to you until he quotes the scripture?? If you like block your ears when you hear words of wisdom that's your own cup of kunu.

    2. You are blessed. It's only the Word of God that can give Christians the ability to live over and above the world. Every Other message/quote not backed by the Word is speaking with the enticing words of man's wisdom which anyone else can do. We can't stress this enough...The Word is the only message that should be preached from the pulpit of God.

      Delete
    3. @anon 10:56 well said. I was in attendance when he gave this message
This was just a paragraph (side talk)of a whole message that lasted over 2hrs. This man spits out scripture... Some unwise ones just refuse to obey...

    4. What is this WORD OF GOD you guys are saying and even emphasizing on the scripture?
      Please!

      Read on 1Corinthians 7:25
'Now concerning virgins I have no command of the lord, but I give an opinion as one who by the mercy of the lord is trustworthy'.

Paul's words most times was from his experience and the leader he is.
This pastor has followers and can admonish them from experience and observation as long as its INSPIRED by the holy spirit (2Tim.3:16)

Before you call me a church member,no,I'm an unshakeable CATHOLIC. #wink

    5. @Shy
So he "spits out scriptures" and couldn't tweet one, just one?
Where in the scriptures did God call women "knives?"
I know scriptures in proverbs that addressed wayward wives as "narrow well (Proverbs 23:27), hands are chains (Eccl. 7:26) ..."
I have never seen knives and people are here chanting "word, word"
You that attended, give us one scripture he used to back up these lines.

Proverbs 23:27 for an adulterous woman is a deep pit, and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
Eccl. 7:26 I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

You see that God defined who he was talking about (adulterous woman for the sinful man). In other words, a man who has "vision" but is adulterous will end up with such a woman whose hands are chains and she will chain him and put him in the "narrow well".

Please study the scriptures and do not be swayed by words without knowledge.

      Delete
    6. You people are attacking Anon 14:38 cos truth is bitter? Where is this so-called wisdom in Pastor Paul's tweet abi na post, coming from? That something seems like a good idea doesn't mean it's from God! So, not one relevant Scripture to back up his tweet/post? And he knew people will read it! Sometimes, you people look for trouble for yourselves just so you can claim persecution. Tomorrow now, a misguided young man will say that his fiancee is a knife "cos my daddy in the Lord said" one thing, one thing. Talking about vision, is it every vision that a person should follow? You don't know armed robbers have vision? The way some of your pastors just ...

What does "spitting Scripture" mean? God's Word is now something that we spit. It is well. Please, those who say a full message was preached with scriptures, what were they? Were they relevant? Did you revisit them after you went home?

Some of you are setting yourselves up for disaster. "My pastor said" will be your undoing. Whether it is drink and bathe with salt water cos of ebola. Eat grass or drink insecticide. Or something to do with your marriage. This is why some of you will fall to pieces when problems arise. You didn't hear God, so you have no way of knowing who/what is fighting you. We're saying this thing now, it's like we're being too holy to be real. You confuse and replace what God is saying with what your pastor claims, the wisdom of a mere man! You're very brave. Learn how to hear God yourself, have a personal relationship with God. Stop this proxy relationship to God through your pastor. M'aka obi mgbaka in case any of your pastors is exposed as another Iginla. Or keep playing with your lives. Bite anon 10:56 cos s/he asked what you should have been asking yourself!

    7. @14:12
What you are quoting in Timothy is "all scriptures are inspired by God".
That is the problem here, the man did not quote any scripture.
God did not call any woman "knife" okay?

  10. So in a household where a woman is more educated than her husband and has better leadership qualities, is she supposed to suppress her gifts and obey her husband because he has a penis and she doesn't? Genuine question.

    2. @Nakpozie
Your entire existence is a stupid question, you cretin! See how I asked an important question very politely and like the uncultured viper that you are, you answered with venom and hate?
Biko, if my question is stupid, why did you give me attention? Isn't the person who chases a madman also considered as mad? Wouldn't that also make you stupid by default? You disgusting and ill-mannered cunt of questionable lineage! Do you think all women/men are a monolith? Haven't you met women who lead better than men? You obviously haven't stepped out of that filthy, dilapidated, rodent-infested pie-hole you call a house long enough to experience life!
Because if you had, you would know that men are not infallible. Leadership is based on merit and not on genitalia. A penis doesn't automatically make you a good leader or leadership material, which begs the question; on what premise and what qualification does the man-made bible base the assertion that men must automatically lead? See, these are all important, emerging questions. Sadly, blind and mentally incompetent sheep like you do not have the wherewithal to ask questions. What you do best is to follow blindly.
Fine, follow blindly to your inevitable destruction! Just don't expect enlightened people like us to follow you.
Stella, you better post my comment oo! This degenerate should've known better than to come for me. Mtcheew!

    3. Nakpozie, you're obviously the stupid one with your headache inducing grammar.

Anon, a woman should not suppress her gifts in order to form submissive. This is why you should marry someone who wants you to shine and not one who dampens your flame. Remember before you became a Mrs, you were an individual of your own

  12. The problem with this advice is assumption. You assume that even truly godly men know exactly where they're going. Not every man is not Moses who hears "... to the Promised Land". Some are like Abraham who hear, "... to a land I will show you." Shebi it's road and destination you know that you can describe to someone else. What if your God-appointed destination or route is new to you? Look at Evangelist Mike Bamiloye. Did he know when he started live drama in churches, what Mount Zion would be today? Is it because he doesn't know God? Some of these una assumptions that sound so titillating to the ears cos people assume they have sense.

Even if God has given you a glimpse, the reality of it can make even your God-ordained wife run 990. It's not that the woman is not a good woman. There are some marriages you won't know why till you enter. And it will be God leading you.

I've mentioned how my husband proposed to other people and some were told by their own families, "This man is a good man but God said he's for another woman." I didn't know my husband's real & full identity till after we got married. Because he was told, "She's the right one but if you tell her before the time is right, you know she will leave." The annoying thing was none of the dreams I was having, was clear. I was seeing things that had happened in his ancestry and things to come. And I kept telling him, "You're keeping something important from me. The picture you're showing me isn't full." But I know I felt such peace. And I'd asked God to make me love him if he's the one; we weren't dating. I still remember when I was told. I didn't know whether to faint, scream or kill someone. God is the only one that stopped me from divorcing him. That's when I started to realise the import of not just dreams I'd had years before, but battles I had faced that seemed to come for no reason.

If you think God will show you everything so you can make your decision, you're deluded. First, knowing all would make you God. Secondly, God deliberately hides some things from some of His children for a time cos the temptation to act crazy is real. And there are times and seasons that have to do with destinies of people you've not met. There are women created for roles that they will refuse if they're told everything beforehand.

A man isn't providing direction to anywhere. Is he God? This is the kind of advice that causes men to see a woman going on her own, then they interrupt her and derail her life. A woman should already be on her way to wherever God is leading her, before she meets her husband - meaning she is already being directed. Amos 3:3 is the reason many couples fight and even divorce. God will not normally put together people He knows are not going in the same direction. Why won't you fight and be frustrated when instead of asking God to show you your own, you think you have sense so you rely on what you think you can see and pick someone going where you weren't supposed to go? Some of the commentary coming from pulpits are merely wisdom of men. They need to be discerned before you scatter your life cos "my pastor said."

  14. That a woman is good doesn't mean you should marry her! It's like going to the market and you see a fine pair of shoes, so you put leg and get stuck. If you force yourself, two things - you'll injure yourself, mess up the shoe, and the seller will make you pay. Okay, that's three things, but you get my point. That shoe isn't the problem. It just wasn't your own and it would have fit someone else perfectly, but your stubbornness would not let you be great.

As our faces are different, so are our needs. There are men that cannot marry a bad cook. Imagine if you now kill yourself to cook fresh soup everyday, whereas it's not you. You'll start making mistakes and resent the man. Who sent you message, when there's a man somewhere looking for you cos his main problem in life can be solved by what you wrote in your dissertation for Masters programme? And he doesn't even care how well you can cook? Both men are good, but one is not your own.

Good men are plenty, as are good women. But is the one you're trying to get with, meant for you? Sometimes, you'll see signs that this is not it. But you'll be like "What will people say?" and "I'm already 30, why don't I manage? All wo/men are the same."

All wo/men are not the same! Every green pair of shoes in the market are not the same. All the jeans trousers in your wardrobe don't fit the exact same way. You wear some, you cut off your own blood circulation - with what you used your own money to buy!

    1. Even bad men want to marry good women. I have a cousin that dropped out of school, smokes weed, drinks like a fish and steals any money you dare leave near him. But he's an only son of a rich man. The mother was busy nit-picking good wife for him. Saying how his ex doesn't kneel to greet her, isn't respectful enough and won't make a good wife.
Now they have found one for him. It's his mother that even bought the engagement ring. I just hope the girl is prepared for what she's coming into.
