Remember the Video that went viral a few days ago?The one where a little girl named Success was sent home from School because her parents could not afford her school fees?Well, her story is fast becoming a Success story........

According to a twitter handle Azukamania ''Little Success and her parents were paid an unscheduled visit by a Delta State Gov't official who gifted her some money and promised to establish her parents......''

I just smiled looking at her photo.....Cant get over the part where she said ''If de think say dem stubborn,I go show dem say i stubborn too...''...lol

  1. This story is so sweet. The person that posted it probably just posted it for the sake of the humor

But is it enough to empower her family?

    1. So for ur wicked mind u think it's not enough to empower the family? How will they train her in school if they are not empowered? The way some of u reason eh,I wonder how u treat people around u..SMH!

    2. Baby fire it's you that don't know how to reason. If they empower her and her family alone what happens to the rest of the community.
Is the government not supposed to provide standard education for the entire community?

    3. @baby fire,it is not enough to empower her parents. How about other students who didnt go viral but cant afford to pay their fees.Who will empower their parents? It is not enough to empower her parents. How about making the system work?Giving every child in Nigeria equal opportunities providing jobs and means of livelihood for people so they don't depend on the government to provide for their families. When we know what the government owes us as citizens then we begin to understand that they don't do us a favour when they decide to reach out and empower the less privileged.

    4. Exactly
How about improving the level of education, providing free, QUALITY education, at least for children to a certain age. The government thinks out of its add. Sorry. If it's not possible to give QUALITY free education through the entire school life of a child, why can't this country invest in the early, foundational years. Back to reality sha, congrats to Success

    5. Thank you o. There are many kids out there like her. The government should use the opportunity to fix the girl’s school for a start.... not taking pictures of her with money alone. Na wa for this Nigeria government tho.

    7. I am very happy for the girl and her family but I’m sorry but our government has failed us. This is a big shame and an indictment on the government as a whole. That they are proudly taking pictures as if this girl is an exception is baffling and downright insulting to the citizenry.
Basic education! Not secondary school sef. Basic primary education...

In developed climes, entire state education boards, commissioners and other officials would resign for this obvious embarrassment and testament to the failure of the school system

    8. in response to anonymous point of view which were very on point and factual. i wonder what is so special to our failed educational system to be celebrated about the little success innocent grievances displayed. it was only success story that the populace were opportune to be aware of,what many children out there that their parent could not afford to send them to school talk more of paying school fees. hmmm it is well oo,nevertheless, congratulations to you success but i havent seen anyone promised to send the little lad to school school abroad. That would have been the parent greatest joy.

  6. Delta state shld be ashamed. I saw the deplorable state of the so called school.
The roof had caved in and was bad, what happens when it rains? It was dark, looks like no electricity nor ventilation. And kids learn under such circumstance.
And if it's a private school, such sch needs to be shut down by the govt.

  18. There is a boy in my street, though he attends a government school but things has been bad for his parents for sometimes, so they couldn't afford to give him tfare, making him not going to school. Someone reported the boy to me, that he has started been wayward, after I got to know what was happening in their family, I told him to always come to me every morning for tfare and promise to reward him if he changes from his bad ways but won't hesitate to discipline him if I got to know he is still being wayward. This is a boy of 15yrs old. Thank God, he is changing gradually.

  19. Why are Nigerians so shallow? Why are they calling this "a success story?"
Isn't child education supposed to be a right and compulsory?
A lot of Nigerian kids are out of school and one is "given money" and people are satisfied with that?
When will Nigerians begin to demonstrate against social injustice perpetrated by the politicians and stop
    exalting looting, selfishness and incompetence?
Look at the dilapidated and pitiable state of public schools and you see why a parent will put her kids in
the upper floor of a 3 story building that is frailly constructed as the only alternative and have them buried alive in the rubble
and Nigerians, Lagosians will keep mute and go on as if nothing happened.

    1. Thank you. We should stop celebrating mediocrity in Nigeria.
Yes, they should help the little girl ,but most importantly they should fix the school, and stop collecting money from pupils aged 4 years to 11 years for school in Nigeria.

  21. First things first. Can it become a punishable offence for any child to be 'flogged' for non-payment of school fees? How can you punish a child for their parents' failing? Is it not better to not allow them into the premises in the first place rather than allow them in to flog them and still send them home? Our government officials including this one up there should hide in shame. I expected the celebs fighting over who wants to use her to shine to instead use their voice to speak against the deplorable state of our educational system (both public and private schiols). Thank God for little Success but what happens to the gazillion others like her? *deep sigh*
