    1. The other guy's material is poor na. There's a difference between a fashion designer and a tailor.😂😂😂

  3. A fashion designer made the one on the left while a tailor made the one on the right. Tailors don't update their skill, they're very comfortable doing things the way they've always been done. Na tailors kuku full everywhere.

    Happy weekend people!

    1. God Bless You, Fabric and proper ironing with steam iron preferably will make any cloth look very attractive ,just like synthetic and original hum an hair.

  6. Lol. Sometimes the person wearing the cloth matters, not everybody has the right frame to fot clothes.

    1. I agree with you...body type matters as well. If d guy on the left should rock d oda one, it wld fit just fine

  8. Both attires are nice, the black one is just not ironed.
Even if they switch clothes the potbellied man will still look like Mr Ibu

    1. You are right anon 12:39, the black one has not been starched and ironed, they are not same material and the men don't have same stature. Why are people quick to spoil people's hand work? This is not good.

  9. The other man doesn't have the attitude to pull it off sef.

  10. No be lie.

The last time I bought ankara maybe 2010.

I can't fit for plenty story.

Even now that I said that I want to find a tailor in a Abuja who has basic common sense and knows how to sew properly it's like rocket science.

Abeg, make I dey do my ready made dey go.

At least no turanci for that one.

  11. Obioma made the second one
Another thing is to know what suits your body
Some with no hip at all may see a nice style on MJ and may want it by force by fire. Then it comes out looking like eyo.

I trust my fashion designer sha. Na money go kill am

  12. The fact is, we all like to blame the tailors(fashion designers) but the customers and clients aren't without blame either.
Someone would bring the wrong fabric for a style and insist you make it for them. Also, body size, carriage and personal packaging are factors that affect an overall look

    ReplyDelete
  13. The guy doesn't have the stature to pull off that suit more so his fabric is very cheap so it won't give you the same finish. The tailor tried with a good fabric and good finishing would have gotten it.

  14. There's nothing wrong with the black cloth. It's just not packaged well.

  15. The summer before I started senior secondary, I was so excited because I was dropping the pinafore for skirts. My mother gave my uniform fabric to carry to the tailor for the skirts. I went to the madam, I got measured and told her to make A-Line because that was the official school style. I TOLD AUNTY CHINYERE THAT OUR SCHOOL STYLE IS A-LINE!!! She said ok , no problem. Three weeks later, she called my mother to pick the skirts up. I could not wait to try them on.
    My mother came back furious.
Her face was like dark clouds preceding a thunderstorm, and I could not even ask for my precious skirts so I forced myself to take a nap.
That nap was short lived, cos what felt like 15mins later I was awakened by hot strokes of cane. Yeh!!!
And my mother's angry voice asking me why I have decided to be useless. I said ah! What I do? She was still screeching that I have become a big girl abi? She threw the bag of skirts at me. Turns out that Aunty Chinyere made that fish style that was in vogue then instead of the A line I told her. Imagine short fish skirt. So ridiculous and fugly. Six of them and school was resuming the next week. Apparently when she saw the condemnation that had befallen the over 8 yards of material she purchased she turned on the tailor who swore with her life that it was me who specifically asked for that style. So she rushed home to deal with me. That was the last time I ever entered that woman's shop. My punishment was Mary Amaka skirts for two terms.
