I'm so sad, i don't know what to do,i don't have friends or who people around me,except my family,i don't know how to make friends. I'm the quiet and shy type but i want to break free.

There was a time,i went to visit my boyfriend's family, during morning devotion,i was asked to conclude the prayers,i was just fidgeting,i couldn't say a word.i was so ashamed of myself.

I have phobia for public speaking and it has affected my life negatively .
when people in my midst is more than one, i can't talk because i will end up fidgeting. My confidence level is zero.

I need help because i want to be a confident mother, daughter, wife, sister and friend.
I need suggestions on how to overcome this.I'm based in ibadan

Na wah...I dont know how one handles this kind of problem..what scares you?do you feel that people are better than you?

Make I squat here say wetin dey my mind. Stella please post oo, I met this guy on sm, we are still yet to see. He askes me for small small money, as small as 2k, I gave him once and since then, my village people whispered to me that I shouldn't give again, I have never asked him for anything.

Each time he wants that 2k favour and I give an excuse, I'll sense disappointment and anger from his voice. Please my people I am scared of getting committed. He has a good job oo with evidence.

This one is one chance love oh...Please stop giving him money and if he asks you for money tell him ''Ah darling  was even going to ask you for money sef..Please i will manage anything you have''..You will see that he will discharge himself.

    6. Sweetheart, being happy is a deliberate thing and a personal choice. You have to deliberately decide that no one or anything is worth ur joy and stand by it.

If you build ur life around someone, u make him the centre of ur world and that's a risky affair because man is but a man - he makes mistakes. He can hurt you and when he does, what happens to your world which he is the centre of? It will crumble.

The only person that has the capability of being at the centre of your world and holding it together is God. He is perfect and He cannot fail.

Let Him be your joy. Deliberately decide to stay happy and be happy even when everything around says otherwise. Keep faith, stay strong.

"Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God and believe also in Me..." John 4:1

Make yourself happy. Nobody is worth your joy. A joyful heart is good medicine. But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

  25. Just last night I was thinking of doing serious fasting and prayers this Month of May to pray against stagnation and poverty but I did not know how to go about it then I asked God to show me what to do only for me to see gnm post about praying from 1-16th of may.thanks for this, please can anyone recommend psalms about breaking off stagnancy. I and my husband used to see ourselves in our former neighborhood or schools, at times writing exams

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please, stop using psalms like it's the elixir of life. If you can, do a fast with your husband from 6pm tonight to 6am tomorrow morning. Between 11pm and midnight, praise God then ask Him to show you the root of your problems. Take communion together (use ordinary bread or crackers with blackcurrant or water). Thank God and go back to bed. Do the fast and the prayers for as many nights as you are led. Take note and write down any dreams you or your husband have during this time. Then, you'll know what you're dealing with. I hope you and your mister are bornagain else there's no point.

This is not a one size fits all for everyone but it's what I felt led to write when I read your comment. Fact is to deal with every problem properly, you need to know exactly what you're dealing it. But many people treat symptoms and wonder why no deliverance or permanent relief. It's like a person that keeps treating headache and fever with paracetamol. But they don't know they have malaria so the headache and fever keep returning and they get frustrated. They haven't reached the root of their problem.

You and your husband see yourself in former schools and taking exams, etc. All it means is that you have unfinished business somewhere. But what is it and why? You can't just be praying against stagnation cos stagnation doesn't just happen. It is ALWAYS caused by something meaning it's just a symptom, not a root. You need to know what is having the leverage to create stagnation in your life, if at all it's really stagnation. So you're not just waging war with zeal but without knowledge. You'll just exhaust yourself and have no results, then you'll say you've been praying for years and nothing has happened.

If you watch deliverance sessions that take long, it's cos the root cause isn't identified early. Sometimes, an unconfessed sin or an unbroken covenant is the problem but till it's identified, demons will keep toying with their victim, answering back and refusing to go. They have a legal right to be there so even if you cast them out, the thing that brought them in will just call in more evil spirits and you'll be there sweating. Demons and evil spirits work in networks. You don't have time or energy to be casting them out one by one, by name. Some are deaf and dumb, so how will you know they've left if they don't manifest? Some don't understand English. Imagine if Jesus had tried casting out legion, one by one. He will still be here. The thing is to find the root, deal with that root, scatter the network that formed, and they will go.

I was sitting pwacefully beside my wares this morning thinking of how to get my children's school fees, that was how a credit alert from UBA entered my phone, I jumped up with joy at first but when the reality dawned on me, I started weeping. I don't have an account with them, talk more of using my phone number to recieve alerts.
Pls my people, could it be that scammers used my number to open account and want to be using it to defraud people? I went to the bank to complain but the kind of queue I saw in front of the customer care brought more tears to my eyes, I had to go back home after two hours of standing. Tomorrow I will go there again. Bankers in the house, do you recieve such complaints? Should I be worried?

I want to put 600k in fix deposit but I don’t know how it works or how much I’ll be getting as interest every month.plus which of the banks has a better interest rate..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Talk to your account office. Ask for the percentage for 91 days, 182 days and 365 days. You interest will be paid upfront but it won’t be much compared to Treasury Bill which pays higher as the percentage is higher. Inquire on both and weigh your options. At the end of your tenure, your full 600k will be paid back but you have received your interest upfront.

I always roll mine over and live off the interest so by the time it’s due, i would have some more money to add and put back into the system. I do Treasury Bills tho.

Discuss extensively with your account officer, if possible, ask for the forms and read through.

To the lady who is talking to the begging guy. That guy is likely hustling a few other women and collecting where he can. This is not someone you should have any romantic notions about. If you wish to keep him as a platonic friend that is fine, but look elsewhere for a romantic partner.

    1. Aba woman, your problem is that it's hubby that is teaching you. Get a neutral person to teach u, if u have a relation say your brother, use him. With your hubby, u are just playing love and u won't lear nmuch.

I remember my sister's hubby bought a car in 2005 and since then, he has been teaching my sis all to no avail.

My brother got a car in 2012 and learnt how to drive from my SAME in-law within just 2 weeks but my sis couldn't learn it in 7years.

Do u know the irony, my brother now taught my sister how to drive just 4 Sundays of practice. My sis husband was so surprised, his wife got to learn how to drive from my bros in just a month.

That was how we got to know that most times, it's best to learn driving from a neutral person than your spouse.

    2. Is it that driving schools don't exist in Nigeria? Or no one goes there? There is so much bad driving on the roads, people don't know the rules cos they were taught by others who don't as well...there is a lot wrong with this country.

Please someone should tell me how to differentiate hand egusi and machine egusi,, last weekend the egusi I bought was nothing to write home about, asked the lady selling repeatedly if it was hand egusi and she said yes, bought some and grinded them only for me to start preparing the soup I fried it and added the stock water only to find it watery I allowed to boil for a while thinking it was going to get thick afterwards but hell no.. had to add raw garri to it to make it thick..
I have marked the lady's face, won't patronize her anymore for lying to me..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hand dehulled egusi is neater and few broken ones while machine is alil dirty n more of broken ones.Next time don't Fry your egusi instead soak in very hot water before u put it in your stock.Frying it makes it watery like baby shit while soaking makes it lumpy and thicker.

please, how much water should I soak it in?

Is it a cup of the hot water to a cup of the egusi, or what?

      Thanks in anticipation sis.

      Delete
    5. Your soup was watery because you did not use enough egusi to match your stock. Egusi is not like some other thickners that can show you mercy , neither is it a super glue.

      Delete
    6. Egusi poster, do u grind egusi alone? Why not try and add osu or achi or ofor to the egusi while grinding. These are thickeners and they help keep the egusi together.

Also stop the frying, it scatters the egusi, I like my egusi having lumps, when u see it, t appears like meat self ...lol.

I mix my egusi with little water and turn it into a thick paste, then when adding it to the pot, I use tablespoon to add it one by one, I don't turn it, I alLow it to boil then when it's cooked, I now turn it, the egusi will be lumpy and deicious llooking.

      Delete
    7. Mix your egusi with a raw egg or two, depending on the quantity of the egusi. Make a paste and add it with a spoon little by little to your stock. Leave to cook, don't turn immediately.

  52. Stella please take this serious. We just had another transformer burn down yesterday night. This is like the 8th transformer that will burn down in Nigeria in the last 2 years. To replace these transformers will cost the Government billions of Naira. The problem is this, all these incidents could have been avoided if an Engineer was the MD of TCN. Instead of an Engineer as the MD of TCN the cabal imposed an accountant that has no clue of how these systems work. For example, the fire that caught the transformer yesterday was caused because the protection failed. If the MD was an Engineer he would have made sure the batteries protecting the transformer were charged and also that there were backup batteries. Anyway, these things will continue yo happen unless the President brings in a qualified Electrical Engineer to run TCN. God forbid we have a total blackout in Nigeria because of inept people. In Holland where I live you never get such issues because the right people run the utility companies.
