    2. Hit the gym and change your meal plan

    3. About my routine... I try and exercise morning and evening at least 30mins even i have to take walks, I always time myself
Fruits and veggies are major parts of my breakfast and dinner, just one major meal in the afternoon which I will burn before night time.
The fruits i take at night are usually before 7pm.
Tea, this is a major part of my routine, Lipton in the morning and green tea at night.
Water, very very important, I take at least 6cans a day.
It's not easy but now I am so determined that even when I want to stop I just can't.

    4. @ push up , why not push the fruits to much earlier in the day for better results and just take your veggies and green tea for dinner?

      Delete
    5. Push up. I had the same issue with the implants on my hand for family planning. Your diet looks fine but Increase your exercise. At least 1 to 1 1/2 hrs a day of fast cardio. Running, threadmill or skipping. That works.

      Delete
    6. Last anon,i said at least 30mins twice each day, that's morning and evening, sometimes I spend an hour, other times 40min...I am doing what is working for me and it's indeed working

    7. @ anon 15.14, anything done in excess is bad. Excercising for 1 and half hours to 2 every day is counter productive to your health and body.Go and do your research especially high intensity excercises, 45 mins to 1 hr is fine.

    8. 6 cans of water? My dear, not everyone can gulp that besides there are negative effects of drinking too much water. Water is good fine, but don't force it.

    1. @ ladybirds, you will get used to it.Initially the hunger will be intense but with time your body will adjust. You can just take tea( lil milk) before you go to bed but make sure you don't eat any meal after 5pm. Sometimes if I am so hungry,I take one boiled egg or tea, a piece of fish or pear etc. I just put something light in my stomach and the progress has been huge.

    2. I only eat between 11am and 6pm and belly is flat. I am a perfect size 10. At 11am I eat 2 boiled eggs but not the yoke then step down with peas mixed with sweet corn. Gym at 12pm for 45mins weights and 20mins run after gym chicken soup. When i get home from work at 4pm I eat anything I like.

  4. Mine is very smooth and flat -though not like before. It increased by 2 inches so, it's okay. Darling like am like that. What increased very well is my boobies/buttocks.
From experience: If you don't want striae and big tummy after marriage, stay away from: refined sugar/sugared drinks -coke, fanta, malt, coffee, etc. replace with pure honey. Do light exercises.
Do some fruit fast with lots of water to detoxify yourself before pregnancy. By God's Grace, I did it for like a month before embarking on my last two pregnancies. Apart from my tummy going back fast, no nausea in first trimester.
After pregnnacy: allow the womb to heal like at least 6 weeks before you begin abdominal exercises; sit ups especially.
Ahaaaaaaaaaaa, I don yarn my own.

Make My Naija girls/friends come yarn us how them dey carry that belt wey Nepa they use climb pole hol am (after shooting off?)๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜œ

    4. @Ladybank
You don't need that "witchcraft". That is the essence of the one month fruit fast with lots of water. I've learnt that you can control what you crave. There is always an alternative but that's if you are willing to pay the price. I dey replace that coke thing with grapevine drink (pure non-alcoholic red wine).
E cost but you no go regret am at all at all. For my first pregnancy, I craved garri but subsequently, I replaced it with pounded unripe/ripe plantain thereby increasing my iron store to build up my blood. Pregnancy dey sweet o if you plan am well well. I been dey want football team but na oga on top be coach/referee. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

    7. @18:41
The food: Eat your normal food but like a month to when you want to conceive, go on a fruit fast e.g. pawpaw, mango, avocado, banana, even raw plantain
The vegetables: carrots, lettuce/cabbage, green pea (find alternative to salad cream etc.) ...eat these during the day and your regular meal at night (especially if you are not used to fruit fasts). Then avoid meats but go for non-fatty fish e.g. Tilapia, catfish etc.
The word of God: Man does not live by bread alone... These days you can read the New Testament on your smart phones. Just type the book, chapter and verse even in google. E.g. 1 Tim.5:16.
Above all Trust God the giver of children.

  5. Like I have posted here before, Mine was a natural process,I didn't struggle,it just went flat on its its own, but one thing I am used to right from when I was single is I don't eat after 6:30pm, don't know why, nothing appeals to me, my mom will complains that I'm going on hunger strike every evening, it was a friend that told me that probably that's why my tummy stays flat.

  9. Me that my stomach was flat before marriage, as in very flat. I should have done nude photo shoots oh because after 3, its not looking like it will go back oh.
When I lose weight, it decreases, but not flat like before.

  10. I have. I have 2 kids and i still look like i did before having them if not better. I took care of my body by eliminating all starch and eating healthy. I do exercise often, at least twice a week. I don't take sugary drinks, except ginger beer. I will rather take wine or spirit than soft drink. I don't eat white bread, fufu or garry. Maybe once in 2 weeks. I prefer boiled plantain, roast and sweet potatoes. I do rice but in a very small quantity. I don't use much oil in my food and my snacks are fruits. I take a lot of water when thirsty, especially in hot weather. I drink a special chinese tea every night before bed so i can go to the toilet to eliminate everything my body does not need. You see, good diet is a lifestyle. My body is used to everything i feed it and i can't live otherwise. I do indulge myself once in a while but i fall back to my routine. Oily food is a no no tome, fish and chicken are my fav proteins. Many African food are bound to give you a protruding tummy but you have to unlearn how to cook it and learn a more healthy way to cook it. You don't have to give up on them but find a way to accommodate it with the new healthy way. Like if i am having yam, i have to have it with something healthy. Beans or egg sauce, not stew. If i am having stew, i am having it with boiled plantain or sweet potatoes, i can put in a little rice. Soup, i do my best to have a small portion of garri then i balance it with fruits to make myself full. Because of that, my tummy is kept in and if i must add weigh, it usually go by the back. See, you don't have to spend hours in the gym, 10 abdos everyday can do wonder on your body. I do 50 every 2 days and trust me, it builds your muscles little by little and before you know it, 50 abdos will be nothing, just a quick morning routine.

    1. I totally agree with you like that unhealthy egusi, Imagine palm oil plus egusi??? Cholesterol galore!!! Then you swallow with pounded yam?? How will the stomach not protrude?

      Delete
    2. Egusi and Palm oil have no cholesterol. Cholesterol is not present in plants (google it). And fatty foods don’t result to weight gain (ask ppl on keto diet) . The main cause for weight gain is eating too much carbs and sugar, most fruits e.g pineapple contain sugar in same quantity or even more than you find in some starchy foods.

      Delete
  11. Except you have a separation of the abdominal muscles (diastesis recti). You have no excuse after 6months to 1year not to get your shape back or close to how it was.
Truth be told, your stomach might never be tight as before child birth, but it can go so flat that you can wear anything.
The key is to lose weight. You cant add overall weight and expect your stomach to disappear.
    It Kent oo.
For all those with pouches, try getting your pre-pregnancy weight and even lower if need be, and watch your pouch disappear

    1. I think it depends on body type and age. For my first two children I didn’t do much just made sure I didn’t take any starchy food, but for my last two children which were CS born. I still dey the matter oh! I still have a 3month old tummy and the weight nko only 18kg within the last 2years, with the killing diet of eating last meal by 3pm, sometimes vegetables only, without soft drinks only wine, and exercise every morning too Biko!

  13. Breastfeeding and belly binding did the trick!!  I kept my tummy wrapped for the entire 6 weeks . I had c-section but I healed pretty quickly and i have absolutely no scar.  When I started tying, I did it with medical wrap then with time I graduated to girdles .

Actually, breastfeeding is what makes your body bounce back. it works like this..As you nurse, your uterus contracts, this tightening the muscles in your abdomen .  That's major and instant shrinkage.

Also, if you breastfed properly, you will have NO saggy breasts afterwards.

I still have a lil pooch sometimes because my lower belly is just very stubborn. Lol

  15. After my first baby, my tummy went back to the way it was pre pregnancy but it was not the same after the second. However, I started intermittent fasting and eating clean. I also reduced my carb intake by about 80% and I look so great right now. My skin is also clearer and my acne scars a thing of the past. Yes, I also exercise at least 3 times a week. I am in a very good place right now. It's not been easy but it has been worth it. I have maintained this life style for over 2 years now!

  16. I have 4 kids and my tummy is o.k.Not as flat as it was pre-pregnancy.
Exercises helps a lot, I do sit-ups and crunches at home sometimes. Using spanx and body shapers during omugwo helps also, and most importantly make fruits and veggies your friend instead of starchy and sugary foods all the time. Stella, I think genes play a major role in getting your banging body back post delivery, some snap back easily while some don't

  17. Mine is big. Chai, twins childbirth twice scattered my stomach. I don't know if I have hope. I dress up in beautiful clothes and the only thing out of place is the size of my stomach.

Taking down the belly after multiple births ain't beans. Takes a lonnng while though may leave you with fine lines. Don't know about your body, I have some sexy fine lines. Not pronounced except I sit.

  20. After my first baby, my belly went back in 2 months, even flatter than before pregnancy cos I lost weight during the pregnancy and the bump was that big too. The second was the same as well though it took a little longer. No stretch marks after these two births. Both babies were just above 3kg.

Then came my 3rd baby who was big and my belly didn't recover fully, stretchmarks and all...
Although 2 years down the line, it got flatter and I could wear fitted dresses smartly without a body shaper.

My last pregnancy however post partum experience is ongoing.... Still on the matter.

  27. Simple. Stay away from pot of soup and exercise. Some of you women will eat a full cow if unchecked. Fat doesn't jump down from sky. It enters your body through your mouth.

  28. Losing weights n healthy lifestyle is a big decision..I gained 22 friggin kg nursing my last child exclusively on breastmilk..stopped exclusive Dec and started bursting my ass by Jan...15kg gone now n more coming.. I exercise bw 2-4 hours daily... I eat fruits in controlled portion for breakfast n dinner and for lunch any food I want, also in controlled portion..it’s not an easy process but hey, nothing good comes easy..every kg lost is a victory!

  29. A flat belly post delivery starts before you ever take in. They're abdominal MUSCLES and muscles need regular and constant exercises to keep them *toned* and dietary control.
Naija women will never do a day of exercise and yet expect miracles post delivery, by the 2nd delivery their bellies look so unappealing you wonder how the husband's cope. If it was toned pre delivery, it WILL snap back post delivery.
3 things are needed; Abdominal strengthening exercises, dietary control and cardio (5-10 Burpees can do wonders)...and all these can be done at home, but laziness won't allow Nigerians.
Shout out to the women keeping it real.
