Teen Undergrad Ends Her Life With Sniper

An 18 year old Undergraduate of Chemical Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt identified as Olaitan Gbadamosi reportedly ended her life

Olaitan was found dead in her room in Aluu, one of the host communities of UNIPORT with bottles of insecticide, Sniper.

In a short video currently trending online, Olaitan was seen sobbing and making inaudible comments.

Her body has been evacuated while the Rivers State Police Command, as well as the management of the University of Port Harcourt, are yet to comment on the incident.

    1. Why you say Stella, it's because there's an aggressive increase in demonic activities. Only those protected by God will be spared.

  8. Sad.. but how sure are we it is suicide? Let it not be crime that is committed, staged as suicide and we conclude as such without carrying out any investigation... its getting out of hands...

    1. Sorry dear, to hear about ur tormentor MIL.
This is reason why Nigerians must urgently review our values, social norms & cultural way of life that forces mamy people to endure close contact & association, toxic relationships all in the name of family!!!
U should never be alone physically close to any one or person(s) who will poison ur mind, body, spirit & soul!!!
The result is often deadly like this. Demons r full able bodied & " caring or loving" human beings disguised as relatives, friends, family members, neighbours, co- workers & as loved ones who u don't realize r only present interested in ur life to hurt it, very harmful, destroy & cause damage to ur happiness, progress, best interest, growth & success.

Young people r the most vulnerable when exposed or left to endure bad influences, negative people around them disguised as "friends" or " family" & the outcome is always death in the spirit or body permanently!!!

  11. I wonder what cld have happened to this beautiful girl and who are the wicked ppl that put her dead pics online,it's so disrespectful. Stumbled on it on another site. I regret seeing it mehnn💔💔.
Pls parents if you have a child that you suspect is going thru depression or have battles they are facing. Pls don't let them be alone. A child needs to be of sound mental health and wellbeing before we send them off to boarding school or uni hostel. Education if you are not of sound mind and health is of no use. Just talk to your kids. For two days no one knew this girl was dead. Even the family didn't try calling her weekend.
    I'm sad, RIP

    1. Some don't know that their kids or friends are depressed, and it is because sometimes depression wears a smile. Some people cannot be spotted as depressed because in public they laugh and crack jokes. But there is inner turmoil and when they are alone it feels like there is no hope and they are sinking in quicksand. It is really sad about this young lady, who I am sure had so much potential. It takes emotional intelligence, a real caring spirit and sensitiveness to spot and help them. Also sometimes we trivialise what others go through and vilify them for their weaknesses, this never helps.

    2. You are right. It is very easy to fake happiness when in the mist of friends and colleagues but the moment one is back in isolatory zone no control except with the help of God and hope faith but in it all God is the way out. Sometimes people may not even have the right word to help but God can.

  19. A lot of people are fighting many battles. I have decided to fight for my happiness and not let my own mother ruin it. All because I’m yet to get married and I’m not even up to 30 yet. I’ve decided to love out and get my own place. The constant nagging and cussing is too much. I hardly sleep at night and end up dozing during office hours.

This made me cry. God please protect our children, give us emotional intelligence as parents, help us to do the right thing.
I will gather my kids tomorrow abeg let me know what their problems are, reprimanding every time isn't always the right way to go, dialogue is abeg.

  21. If truth be told, it could be because a lecturer has been trying to frustrate her and she didnt know how to handle it, thus resorting to depression and eventually suicide.Rip to her. On the other hand, these suicide committers will eventually make government to ban the most effective insect and mosquitoe killer in this country. Im not even smilling at all because all other insecticides are fake.

  22. Most Nigerian parents are emotionally deficient and they are emotional . bullies. They create such a fear that their children would rather kill themselves than confide in their parents. They think shouting and beating a child equals discipline. Emotional resilience is needed to handle life anyway but in a tough environment like Naija, only aggressive, very selfish and insensitive people survive. And we wonder why our youth keep killing themselves.

  23. Poor girl. Possibly a case of Major depressive disorder. It's very sad that mental health is not taken serious in our country. The signs may have been there but no one noticed. Depression is not demonic possession and is not healed through prayers nor nor deliverance. Seeking counseling from Pastor will not solve it. Look for a Psychologist first, who will refer you to a Psychiatrist if need be. Rest in peace.
