EFCC Arraigns Jamb Officials Who Claimed Snake Swallowed N35 million

Philomina Chieshe, the Jamb official who claimed that N35million Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) funds in her custody was swallowed by a snake in Makurdi, Benue state will be arraigned on Friday ( today) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

In a statement, the acting EFCC spokesman Tony Orilade said "Chieshe became notorious when she made an outlandish claim that a mysterious snake swallowed about N35million cash from the sale of e-JAMB cards in the state.”

He said the JAMB official is being prosecuted by the EFCC on an eight-count charge, following her refusal to furnish the management of JAMB the true information on the financial status of JAMB e-cards supplied to the Benue Zonal office between 2014 and 2016.

Apart from Chieshe five other officials would be arraigned; Samuel Umoru, Yakubu Jekada, Daniel Agbo, Priscilla Ogunsola, and Aliyu Yakubu before Justice Peter Afen of a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja.

  3. And it has to take them this long to prosecute her but the musician accused of yahoo was hurriedly arrested and charged to court. I bet you, they have done their findings and maybe no influential person(s) could be involved, the reason they have decided to prosecute her or they are about to tell us lies that no money was lost or stolen.

What of Yakubu of NNPC 9billion fraud case? Obviously, they abandoned the case as a result of people involved. What of Nsima Ekere and Akpabio cases with EFCC? What about the people Aisha Buhari accused of fraud last week? Do you know EFCC hasn't say a word about it or have they? Bunch of jokers and corrupt criminals parading as Saints.
