Singers Zlatan And Three Others Freed While Naira Marley Remains In EFCC Custody

Nigerian musician, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael (aka Zlatan), has been freed while Afeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley) is still being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The musicians and three others were released on Tuesday night.

Zlatan was released alongside his crew members, Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa.

When contacted, EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, confirmed that the suspects were released on administrative bail.

“There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.

“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted. Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”

It has also been reported that Davido facilitated Zlatan’s release by allegedly hiring a Senior Advocate of Nigeria who helped in securing the bail of the singer.

The EFCC, however, said such report is not true.

Let me see one idiotic Yahoo boy and their girlfriends drool under this comment... I'd come back for you people.

How y'all glorify fraud by saying our government is also stealing annoys the living day light out of me.

  7. It's a shameful time to be Nigerian. It doesn't matter the degrees you acquire or how honest you are, the poor decisions and loud words of some people now makes it impossible for foreigners to trust ANY Nigerian. Even the USA have stopped drop box, because they know that 80% of visiting visas are for people to overstay illegally. Every month some Nigerians are arrested for fraud. Who is losing now..all of us. When someone now has a genuine reason to visit, they'll be denied. You get a job, your background check will take longer cos you're Nigerian. Do I really blame Marley, are you all not guilty? You who supported your brother's or boyfriend's YAHOO.. You who paid for your kids to get waec expo, you who paid for special center.. you who knew your brother married that oyibo woman for papers.. you who was paid to snatch ballot papers.. you whose Uncle was a thieving Governor but you enjoyed the proceeds with him.. you who hail your LGA chairman cos of 50k..you who supported MArley's outbursts ..you who see and never speak up...and so on. To have a culture of dishonesty and fraud, how do you prove to the world that you are different? They view us all the same.
